Kit was like $80,000 complete with windows, doors, etc. down to nail: just exterior and interior framing-interior I had to do interior finishing mostly from making my own lumber from cleared trees; 4 solar panels for 110% power with 1 week batteries that continuously recharged in sunlight was another $15,000; Septic system was another $8,000 as was all the electrical wiring (too scary for me), I did the plumbing and HVAC ducts, like $10,000: odds and ends (fireplace brick, hot tub/whirlpool) probably pushed cost to $125k. But cabin has natural spring water, totally independent electrical and sewage so no utility bills except garbage pickup. VA financed the kit and the $30k for the 10 acres so was a great deal. Loan 73% paid off going into June 2013.
