Lol, after the Marines, like 8 years of college life, half dozen doing the starving artist thing, I really got into real home cooked food like mom always made.

just like cabin Abraham Lincoln grew up in, he had a bigger hot tub for his lawyer friends though.

Built the kitchen for a raw timber look and on a darker theme than most of cabin. Lol, learned from mom & dad who were WW2 era living in Ohio's tornado alley to keep a month's worth of food, need it for often getting snowed in during winter.  Sister Judy was an ultra-feminist so I was the one to learn mom's and Irish and Scottish grandmother's recipes. Always was a sore spot with the ladies in my life since I was the better cook, although some, like Annea, really did learn to become fantastic cooks. Lol, German Gothic Suzie homemaker... we still laugh about how I corrupted her in our monthly letters; her husband of a year appreciates what she learned.
