this is actually really dark watercolor on a sketch pad. not the best choice but all i had. i used the watercolor like acrylic! haha not great but i did the background the right way (lightly and watery) and it turned out better than the image i think! i also dipped my brush in white at the end and then took the brush bristles and flicked them like a toothbrush and it made lil speckles. i think they could be made to look like lightning bugs :)
