- My story with God
- I've always felt even from a young age that I was different, unique sort of way but never understood it or why I couldn't never fit in. It wasn't until I came into the knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ on why I couldn't fit in with what we called the "In Crowd". Making a long story short one day I was in my room and at the time I didn't know the voice of God and I heard at that time something inside of me said read Romans. So I picked up my Bible and open it to the book of Romans and I sat there asking myself where do I start and I heard again start at the beginning so I started reading Romans chapter 1. It wasn't until I got to chapter 8 and verse 15 which says "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." that I broke down in tears and drop to my knees asking God to forgive me for my sins and the tears just kept coming down I couldn't stop crying at one point I ask myself why can't I stop crying. I realize that by me seeing myself as a good person I would go to heaven but that is not how it works, for it is by faith in Christ Jesus not by our works that we are saved. So by me believing that I would go to heaven by my works made Jesus dying on the cross for me in vain, so it was this realization of Truth that made me cry ever so much the more. How could I think I could get myself into heaven and for that revelation I give all the glory to my heavenly Father because He loved me so much He did not want me to continue in the untruth and not realize of His purpose for sending His Son to die on the cross in our stead. This is one of many stories that I could tell of my experience with God and how He spoke and directed me in His path of Righteousness! I truly love the Lord and there is no turning back!
