Thanks for your understanding. We have a lot of relatively new believers here on this network and what we are attempting is to help them become grounded in their faith by using God's "users manual for life" - the Bible - by believing it and what it says about God and living it out in their daily lives.

If you are interested in knowing more about what we believe here, be sure to check out http://www.allaboutgod.com/faith-statement.htm and all the 17,000 other pages of resources found at http://www.AllAboutGOD.com

Once again, thank you for your understanding and consideration.

A better theologian than myself wrote these words .. which were included in the posting which has been brought into question and I have since removed. I am sorry if my blog posting caused offence.

“In the light of God’s self disclosure in Christ as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, it is necessary to say that speech about God is made possible by virtue of God’s own speech and not otherwise. We do not decide in advance that flesh and blood cannot reveal the truth of God. There are no a priori grounds for such an assertion, or indeed for the converse claim that humanity does have the capacity to render God accessible. Only in the light of the fact that God has spoken, and reveals Himself as the Lord, do we learn the He is sovereign over the relation between humanity and himself.” “God’s revelation in its objective reality is the incarnation of the Word ... It becomes the object of our knowledge; it finds a way of becoming the content of our experience, and our thought; it gives itself to be apprehended by our contemplation and our categories. But it does that beyond the range of what we regard as possible for our contemplation and perception; beyond the confines of our experience and thought. It becomes the object of our knowledge by its own power and not ours.”

STP,

Greetings in the Lord! This is Greg, TheNET Coordinator. Welcome! We're glad you are here!

Having read your blog post, it appears you may not agree that the Bible (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) are not the inspired, authoritative and inerrant Word of God which is the only true source of how we can know Him and accurately know about Him. We are not about religion here, but about a relationship with Jesus Christ. Perhaps I misunderstood you, and not to be rude, but if that is not what you believe, perhaps you would be happier somewhere else.

I want to invite you to join our Bible study, In the Beginning: a study in the book of Genesis to help you know God better and grow in Him! You can click here to join the study.

Once again, thanks for joining TheNET. I hope you make lots of good friends here and keep growing in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord.
