My story with God
Hi it was great to read your articles. I am a born again christian since I was 15 and have traveled through many hurdles in my life just to get closer to God. When I was young, all I knew about Christianity is Jesus. The rest was not important to me. I just admired Jesus so much, his sacrifices for the world, for the people he loved. I wanted to be like him...but wow how could I, he was God and I was human but I struggled to be a person that he wants me to be. But obstacles kept crashing my way, I back slided, forgot about Jesus, did many sins, repented and sinned and it went on and on for years. Jesus brings me back to him whenever I call for him and once I have settled my problems in the world, I back slide again....but Jesus never gave up on me. He loved me so much that he made plans for my whole life. In 1993 I got married to a wonderful christian man, but the enemy was strong too..he wanted me to struggle, and the struggle was when my husband fell ill in 1998 and than I just gave up on God..I cried and cried, God why are u doing this to me...I just can't handle my life. My husband has been ill for 14 years and being the soul bread winner and a mother to my lovely daughter, I struggled to make ends meet. But God never gave up on me...throughout the struggles, I managed to buy an apartment, I bought a car, we had good food, I had rewards from my company, my family have been great to me and I never starved for food. But the sadness was about my husband, he was in and out of hospital and he too gave up on God. In 2010, my husband fell so ill, he had diabetic foot ulser. Doctors wanted to amputate his feet. But I did not want to give up...I kept reminding God about his promise to watch over me...and finally I made a decision to take my husband to India for a 2nd opinion... God saved his leg. When we came back from India, we were looking for a church, through a miracle calling while driving, I stopped in front of a church and wondered what am i doing here...was i not supposed to go else where. Till today, we are faithfully going to the church God chose for us. My husband had a relapse again, but we know God will not let us down... I spoke to Jesus, I said Jesus..we have travelled along journey together, we love you dearly and I know you love us too...if this suffering is meant to make us stronger..so be it..cos the enemy can never shake me again..cos i belong to you... I have struggle for the last 14 years...and the struggle is still going on but God has made me a stronger person.. All the glory goes to our Father in Heave..Amen
Other stuff about me:
I am easy to befriend and I love people, and tend to show love in whatever way I can.
The Holy Scriptures teach that the troubles of this present life are sure to come. Nobody is born a true born again follower of Jesus Christ. Just because the parents are truly born again doesn't mean that the children will be born again truly. Eache person above 12 yrs of age has to be born again by the Holy Spirit by praying to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The troubles of a true Christian's life are nothing to be worried about when we compare the ETERNAL JOYS of Heaven in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
