My story with God
I invited Jesus into my life after many years of living a hopeless existence - or what I falsely believed to be a hopeless existence - struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, shame and so many of the issues involved with living with borderline personality disorder. I was diagnosed with BPD when I was about 21 or 22 years old, a couple of years following my first of many suicide attempts. I did not know God then, and I did know anything other than despair. Twelve years ago, I responded to the voice of God, speaking into the darkness, the emptiness that was my world. Praise Jesus! Today, I am a born-again Christian who actively seeks the face of God on a daily basis, and I wake up knowing His love, peace and joy each morning. My husband of nearly ten years (as of this June, 2011) was baptized a born-again Christian with me on the same day on August 19, 2001. There is no greater or better choice I have ever made than to choose life in Christ Jesus my Lord, and I thank and praise my God for granting me His gift of faith in Christ Jesus through His amazing grace! Amen!
