My story with God

Action For India Outreach (AFIO) is a Ministry that started in February 1995 to be a vehicle in seeing a generation of “True Worshipers” in the Land of India where 97% of the population belong to Hindus, Muslims and other religions.

Rev.C.D.Moses Shah of Balasore district, Orissa was born and brought up in a conservative Bengali family involved in the field of Christian mission since 1989. Rev. Shah, received Jesus Christ as his personal savior and Lord of his life in 1989 and started to witness the Lord Jesus Christ in places of Balasore district. Subdued by the passion of Theological studies he completed Theological study in 1992. God has used him in Northern India for a couple of years to promote Christian Education among the churches.

With a vision to serve the most underprivileged and unreached people of Orissa, in obedience to His calling he reached a place called Belghar, in Phulbani district of Orissa on December’ 1992. He started working among the “Kutia Kondh” tribe one of the most primitive and backward tribe in the land of India. After long and hard work in 1995 he won a man from this tribe to the Lord Jesus Christ namely, Pitabas Majhi. As the news spread a great turmoil broke out. The local people of Belghar, Kandhamal district threatened and gave an ultimatum to Rev. Shah to leave the area immediately. Rev. Shah then left the place but continued his work of His Call from G.Udayagiri, Phulbani district (now Kandhamal). He left Belghar but God has wonderfully used him through out the district particularly in the unreached areas. He did not confine his work within the focus groups only but started to work among other people groups such as the Kui speaking KONDH tribal and PANO schedule castes group. In the Year of 2001 he reached to Tohola and Gond people groups in Phulbani district. During these long years he has established 45 numbers of Churches and many House Churches.
