I'm here to...
encourage others and to spur others to grow in their relationship with God. I know with the help of the Holy Spirit we can all become fruitful in our lives in being His ambassadors..
Interests:
My greatest interest is to build up the Body of Christ.

I love the Word of God and I also love having The Holy Spirit in my life.

JESUS IS MY EVERYTHING!
I'm passionate about...
Becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ and helping others to do the same.

I am passionate for revival to touch the whole world, I am passionate to see young people established in the faith. I am passionate to help hurting people finding help in their hour of need.
My story with God
Many times we come up against the issue of supporting others. Illness, Finances, relationships, and death are a few issues where support is called for.

I want to discuss how we are to support those who are afflicted with illness whether emotional, physical, or spiritual.

As Christians we have a responsibility to care for those who are ill, First by prayer, because we should always be lifting up those who are sick and ask God to heal them.

While we are waiting for that healing to manifest we should be doing all we can by supporting them in a practical since. Bring meals, visit them, go do errands for them, do Bible studies with them if they are up to it. And most of all keep praying with, and for them.

Do not ever make the person feel bad if they are not instantly healed. The two pillars of love are patience and kindness, our job is to support them and not judge them.

“Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;” ( James 5:14 )

“Because I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you welcomed me. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
“Then the righteous will say to him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you something to eat, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or see you naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?”
40The king will answer them, “I tell you with certainty, since you did it for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.”
( Matthew 25:35-40 )

“And they were casting out many demons and were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them.' ( Mark 6:16 )

“...they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." ( Mark 16:18b, )

Also there will be support that is needed for those who have mental issues. Our support for them could be to make sure they are taking their prescribed medications, visiting them, and to just be in their life for them.

The scripture says to comfort ( be near ) the feeble minded. ( Fainthearted, discouragement, little strength, timid ) (1 Thessalonians 5:14 0

This scripture really says a lot about what it means to comfort some one with a mental illness, “to be near them”.

Many times we just stay clear of them and hope the secular doctors can help them.

You may know of someone in your church who has one of their family member diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Others might have a family member who is suicidal, and maybe your best Christian friend has fallen into clinical depression.

It is at these times that we need to draw near to them and bring comfort, support, and encouragement to them.

There was a story in Mark chapter two about a paralyzed man who was brought to Jesus to be healed, His friends were so disparate to see their friend healed that they literally tore the roof off the house so they could lower the cot with the paralyzed man was on it down into the house where Jesus was, and the man was healed.

This is such a picture of how we are to support and help the sick. These men loved their friend and had faith to believe Jesus could heal him and they were so convinced that they went to extremes to see their friend healed.

It makes all the difference in the world for those who are afflicted with physical or mental illness to know that they are loved and do not have to face their illness alone.
Other stuff about me:
I write devotionals that I share with others, I write them from the things God is teaching me every day.

I know how discouraged we can get and how important it is to find a refreshing word of encouragement. I desire to have the moral character of Jesus to develop more in my life so that glory will be given to God. I desire to touch others with the love of God in this new year like never before.

I want nothing more than to hear my Lord say well done thy good and faithful servant, to end my race well for Him and to finish the race of faith he has given to me.

Hi Bob,  I love your picture of the snow,  we didn't get hardly any snow here in the Boston area, this year.   Temperatures have been unseasonably warm.  Mainly in the forties,  I am just wondering how Vermont has fared this winter.  Hope you and your wife are blessed and hope all is well.  My third grandchild is on the way,  another girl named Isabella.  I am so excited!  This one is my son's  Justin's daughter.  Alyvia and Ryan are such a blessing as well.  Love in Christ.  Jackie

Bob,  I forgot to ask for prayer for my son-in- law, Stephen Platka.  He had his thyroid removed because of cancer and is going to go through radiation.  Please pray for him, he is only thirty years old,  and I believe he is healed through the wounds of Jesus and the blood covenant.  He is a believer and he and my daughter and two children go to church.  I appreciate prayers for him.  My daughter and her children may go to Maine, while he goes through this to his mom's home.  They were told to leave by the doctor, because of the radiation.  Thanks.  Again, hope all is well.   Jackie

  • Jacqueline Harris

Dear Bob,   I am glad to hear that Lynda is doing well, Stephen is also on the medication.   I am also glad to hear that you are working with those with disabilities.  That has been my calling as well.  I love to work with the elderly as well, like Lynda.  Lately my knees have been bothering me, which makes it hard to walk as well.  Please pray for the restoration of my cartilage and and fluid.  I lifted Jacob for twenty years,  and have lifted those with other disabilities as well.  Right now I am still bathing and helping the elderly, and they really bless me.  A woman from India, that I help, we prepare India food, which she serves me.  Another lady I am with, loves me to read to her,  so I read stories of miraculous intervention in people's lives.  Another lady,  whom I help with bathing and cleaning, shares her breakfast with me.  We take turns cooking it.  I enjoy my job,  but I do need prayer for my knees, so that I can do what God calls me to do.   I am glad that you and Lynda are blessing others as well.  Continue to be a blessing!  God bless.

  • Jacqueline Harris

Dear Brother,  thankyou for your kind comments,  I believe God will bless my knees and legs for His service.  God bless you and Lynda too,  I pray that an abundance of blessings come your way.

  • Yoel charan

Thank you Pastor Bob B, for your nice comment. You are in my prayer. Yoel charan

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 I have been bought with a price and I belong to God.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

Dear Bob,   How are you doing and how is Lynda?  Hope all is well with you both.  Miss writing to you.  Please pray for Jacob again.  Jon just took him to the hospital again with a possible bowel obstruction.  He is so special to us.  Please keep him in your prayers.  Also our third grandchild is due in June,  my son Justin's and his wife's baby girl.  They are planning to name her Isabella.  I am very excited about this baby.   Also please keep Nina in your prayers, she needs a miracle of deliverance.  Thankyou.  Let me know if you need prayer,  you or your wife,  I will keep you both in prayer.  I know your children need prayer like mine do.  I will pray for them.  Please also pray for me to be set free from anxiety and fear.  The doctor keeps saying I don't feel well because of an anxiety condition,  I need to be free!  Thankyou.   God bless you brother.  Love in Christ.   Jacqueline

  • Jacqueline Harris

Dear Bob,   That is great that God has restored your health!  Jacob is doing much better too.   I am the one in need of prayer now.   I have had an irritable bowel,  and I feel like I am constipated and continually sick.   Sometimes I am bloated with gas and feeling not well.  I get light-headed and my pulse is a bit fast,  with my blood pressure going a little high.  I need the Lord's healing and deliverance as well.   I am glad you are better!  God is faithful.  People tell me that once Jon's heart really softens to the Lord and our marriage is healed, then I will feel better.  That may be true, but I would like it now also, God willing.   Jacob is home, he had a UTI, but is much better.  I am glad that you are working,  I think it is a blessing.  The dog is really an unusual bred, I have never heard of it.  Beautiful dog,  I am glad you got it from a pound.  I am thankful you got a small car too.  It is what I need also,  I do so much traveling.  Please pray for my blood sugar to be normal as well.  Thanks for all your prayers.   I would love to see the rug bags that you make, they sound interesting.  Hope your wife is doing well too.  God bless you, and love you in Christ.   Jackie

  • Jacqueline Harris

I just read over your comments and realized they are rag rugs and rag bags,  I have never heard of them before.  Love to see one.   I am glad you are Pastoring too, and taking care of those with disabilities, as you know I have done that for many years too.  I hope your wife likes her job, as well.  Sometimes,  people in the church in the North Shore, go to Nursing Homes, and I go too, to minister.  It is a great ministry, going into Nursing Homes,  Assisted Living and Retirement Homes.  God bless you and your wife in your ministries.

Abba Father, I ask you to bless my friend reading this right now!
Lord, show them a new revelation of Your love and power.
Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.

Where there is pain, give them Your peace & mercy.
Where there is self-doubting, release a renewed confidence in Your ability to work through them.

Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, patience, & strength as they learn submission to Your leading.

Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You.

Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage.

Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over my friends' life.

Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders, and friends to support, and encourage them.

Give each of them discernment to recognize the demonic around them, and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it.

I ask You to do these things in Jesus name!

In Christian love, Your Friend in Jesus

    Amen

  • Eric Johnson Jr.

Amen.  God bless you and family.  Thank you for that.  God is good.  Smile Jesus loves you.  Philippians 3:13-14
