Although it is not wrong to take these medications, they are rarely our first line of attack against personal suffering. Instead, we should first consider that God can bless us through our suffering, and we might also weigh the possibility that psychiatric medications could numb us to the refining benefits of suffering. There is a worthwhile point here. Although it may sound strange or even unloving to those who don’t share a biblical position, there can be real benefits from having our faith tested and strengthened through trials.

The success of an illegitimate coiner depends largely upon how closely the counterfeit resembles the genuine article. Heresy is not so much the total denial of the truth as a perversion of it. That is why half a lie is always more dangerous than a complete repudiation. Hence when the Father of Lies enters the pulpit it is not his custom to flatly deny the fundamental truths of Christianity, rather does he tacitly acknowledge them, and then proceed to give an erroneous interpretation and a false application.
Hello the watchman thanks to your reply to blog just wanted to explain the Breath of God
Gods breath brought healing in many instances brought life to dead bones its the holy spirit those who draw near to him he draws near to you praise be to him Amen
Begin the day with God! He is thy Sun and Day! His is the radiance of thy dawn; To Him address thy lay. Sing a new song at morn! Join the glad woods and hills; Join the fresh winds and seas and plains, Join the bright flowers and rills. Sing thy first song to God! Not to thy fellow men; Not to the creatures of His hand, But to the glorious One. Take thy first walk with God! Let Him go forth with thee; By stream, or sea, or mountain path, Seek still His company. Thy first transaction be With God Himself above; So shall thy business prosper well, And all the day be love. --Horatius Bonar
“Jesus Christ came not to condemn you but to save you, knowing your name, knowing all about you, knowing your weight right now, knowing your age, knowing what you do, knowing where you live, knowing what you ate for supper and what you will eat for breakfast, where you will sleep tonight, how much your clothing cost, who your parents were. He knows you individually as though there were not another person in the entire world. He died for you as certainly as if you had been the only lost one. He knows the worst about you and is the One who loves you the most. If you are out of the fold and away from God, put your name in the words of John 3:16 and say, “Lord, it is I. I’m the cause and reason why Thou didst on earth come to die.” That kind of positive, personal faith and a personal Redeemer is what saves you. If you will just rush in there, you do not have to know all the theology and all the right words. You can say, “I am the one He came to die for.” Write it down in your heart and say, “Jesus, this is me—Thee and me,” as though there were no others. Have that kind of personalized belief in a personal Lord and Savior.” ― A.W. Tozer, And He Dwelt Among Us: Teachings from the Gospel of John
jesus Christ breath of God in the microphone is just an examplination of gods healing when he said the breath of God brought dead bones to life is just an expression of the holy spirit.
FRIENDS, Every particular, mind that, which is pure of God in you, to guide you up to God, and to keep you in the Fear of the Lord, that ye may receive Refreshment from God alone in your selves, and grow up in the Inward Man, nourished and strengthened by that which is Immortal. . . . And delight in that, which . . . Judges that which is contrary to God, and be Obedient to that which is Pure; so ye will see the Lord God present with you, a daily Help, his Hand always ordering of you, and as a Shepherd always keeping the Dogs from his Lambs, whom he feeds in Green Pastures, and waters with his heavenly Dew of Mercy, who makes them all fruitful. 1In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came from the LORD, saying,2“Thus says the LORD, ‘Stand in the court of the LORD’S house, and speak to all the cities of Judah who have come to worship in the LORD’S house all the words that I have commanded you to speak to them. Do not omit a word! 3‘Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the calamity which I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds.’ 4“And you will say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD, “If you will not listen to Me, to walk in My law which I have set before you, 5to listen to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I have been sending to you again and again, but you have not listened; 6then I will make this house like Shiloh, and this city I will make a curse to all the nations of the earth.”’”
"David Hume, who was a Deist, didn't believe in any inspiration or revelation or the Son of God or in the Bible. About five o'clock one morning, he was going down the street in London. He came around the corner and went straight into the hands of another man who said, "Why aren't you David Hume?" "Yes.'' "Where are you at this early hour ?" "I'm going to hear George Whitfield preach," replied Hume. "You don't believe a word Whitfield preaches," said the man. "No," Hume answered, "but he does!" Even the Deists knew when a man is not just talking theology."

In this world there are two kingdoms, contending for the master. Each kingdom has its animating spirit, in which its strength lies, by which all it does is guided, and through which it holds rule among men. Everything we are or do derives its character and its worth in the sight of God from the spirit in which it is done. This spirit is in each kingdom, not a blind force or an unconscious tendency, but an intelligent power working towards a definite goal. The spirit of the world and the god of this world hold rule over every child of Adam. The spirit which is of God is the power of the living God, working as a divine life in the hearts of those who have received him.
The terrible sin of the fall consisted in this: that man chose the visible, that which this world offered of beauty, and enjoyment, and wisdom, in preference to the unseen, spiritual good of God’s will and favor. And the ruin and punishment of the fall is that man became subject to the power of the seen and temporal, that worldliness became a second nature to him, so that this world was nearer, and clearer to him, and affected him far more than the God of all glory and blessedness, who had created him.
However little it may be thought or taught, the greatest danger to a child of god is from the spirit of this world secretly and unconsciously influencing his judgment and conduct. And one of his greatest needs is to have his eyes opened to see what the world and its spirit is, and how nothing can free him from it but being entirely possessed by the Spirit of God.

Are we raising a whole generation of young men and women without any sensitivity to the voice of God's Holy Spirit? I am on record, and I will be as long as I live, that I would rather lose a leg and hobble along throughout the rest of my life than to lose my sensitivity to God and to His voice and to spiritual things! Oh, how I want to keep that sensitivity within me-within my soul! I am thinking about a great throng of men and women raised in Christian homes. They have been brought up in Sunday school. They probably cut their first baby tooth on the edge of a hymn book when the mother was not watching. Still, to this day, they are not right with God. Some have made a kind of profession but have never been able to delight themselves in the Lord. The reason? They have lost sensitivity to the message and the voice of God. If the Holy Spirit cannot move something within their beings every day they are not going to be effective Christians-if they are Christians at all! A.W. TOZER
Rightly understood, faith is not a substitute for moral conduct but a means toward it. The tree does not serve in lieu of fruit but as an agent by which fruit is secured. Fruit, not trees, is the end God has in mind in yonder orchard; so Christlike conduct is the end of Christian faith. To oppose faith to works is to make the fruit the enemy to the tree; yet that is exactly what we have managed to do. And the consequences have been disastrous. A miscalculation in laying the foundation of a building will throw the whole superstructure out of plumb, and the error that gave us faith as a substitute for action instead of faith in action has raised up in our day unsymmetrical and ugly temples of which we may well be ashamed, and for which we shall surely give a strict account in the day when Christ judges the secrets of our hearts.
Our Lord Jesus looked after the rich young ruler as he walked away, but He did not follow him or attempt to coerce him. The dignity of the young man's humanity forbade that his choices should be made for him by another. To remain a man he must make his own moral choices; and Christ knew this and permitted him to go his own chosen way. If his human choice took him at last to hell, at least he went there a man; and it is better for the moral universe that he should do so than that he should be jockeyed to a heaven he did not choose, a soulless, will-less automaton. God will take nine steps toward us, but He will not take the tenth. He will incline us to repent, but He cannot do our repenting for us. It is of the essence of repentance that it can only be done by the one who committed the act to be repented of. God can wait on the sinning man; He can withhold judgment; He can exercise long-suffering to the point where He appears "lax" in His judicial administration; but He cannot force a man to repent. To do this would be to violate the man's freedom and void the gift God originally bestowed upon him. Where there is no freedom of choice there can be neither sin nor righteousness, because it is of the nature of both that they be voluntary. However good an act may be, it is not good if it is imposed from without. The act of imposition destroys the moral content of the act and renders it null and void.
I get so used to seeing people around on the site and then when it seems they stop posting for a few days I get all worried. I haven't seen you posting. I hope you aren't feeling puny. We have come to a place in time where we measure the correctness of our plans simply by their seeming to contribute to our favorite aim. We estimate the soundness of our doctrine, not from its tendency to exalt and glorify God but entirely by the apparent facility with which it enables us to get sinners to turn from their ways. ~Horatius Bonar~
"I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live: yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life I know live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
"Please pray for God's people around the world! As in Europe, Christian faith is fading in America, while persecution is spreading in many other parts of the world. Countless Christians would rather face death than deny their beloved Lord!
“This is what our age needs, not an easy-moving message, the sort of thing that makes the hearer feel all nice inside, but a message profoundly disturbing. We have been far too afraid of disturbing people, but the Holy Spirit will have nothing to do with a message or with a minister who is afraid of disturbing. You might as well expect a surgeon to give place to a quack who claims to be able to do the job with some sweet tasting drug, as expect the Holy Spirit to agree that the tragic plight of human souls today can be met by soft and easy words.
Calvary was anything but nice to look at, blood-soaked beams of wood, a bruised and bleeding body, not nice to look upon. But then Jesus was not dealing with a nice thing; He was dealing with the sin of the world, and that is what we are called upon to deal with today. Soft and easy words, soft-pedaling will never meet the need.”
1Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
C.S. Lewis said in Mere Christianity:
If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this. The Apostles themselves, who set on foot the conversion of the Roman Empire, the great men who built up the Middle Ages, the English Evangelicals who abolished the Slave Trade, all left their mark on Earth, precisely because their minds were occupied with Heaven. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.
One of the most popular beliefs of the day is that God loves everybody, and the very fact that it is so popular with all classes ought to be enough to arouse the suspicions of those who are subject to the Word of Truth. God's love towards all His creatures is the favorite tenet of Universalists, Unitarians, Theosophists, Christian Scientists, Spiritualists, Russellites, etc. . . . So widely has this dogma been proclaimed, and so comforting it is to the heart which is at enmity with God, we have little hope of convincing many of there error. To tell the Christ-rejecter that God loves him is to cauterize his conscience as well as to afford him a sense of security in his sins. The fact is, the love of God is a truth for the saints only, and to present it to the enemies of God is to take the children's bread and to cast it to the dogs. http://www.sermonindex.net/modules/articles/index.php?view=article&...
I entreat you, give no place to despondency. This is a dangerous temptation—a refined, not a gross temptation of the adversary. Melancholy contracts and withers the heart, and renders it unfit to receive the impressions of grace. It magnifies and gives a false coloring to objects, and thus renders your burdens too heavy to bear. God’s designs regarding you, and His methods of bringing about these designs, are infinitely wise. --Madame Guyon
Hey girl. We got here Monday afternoon. Tim had a cordless internet that you can take anywhere & use it all the time. I do have it. Haven't checked emails or anything but feel free to send me anything. I'll find it sooner or later.
I am curious as to what your take is on this topic? If you already responded to it I didn't see it. If you don't want to or just don't have time .. I understand.
Thank you for answering my question on the topic ,what must we believe to be saved, .. I will copy and paste it to read again for later. I hope you are having a great week. Makes my day when you tell me you love me much. :-D <3 . Love back to you.
I could have sworn I had written you back but I don't see it. How are you? I hope you are doing great. Did you get to spend time with your family during the July 4th weekend? AAG seems to have been fairly quiet lately. Maybe most is resting from the weekend. I am the same oh same oh. I recently just found out a dear online acquaintance has passed on. Its so sad but at the same time I do believe he is resting in Jesus now. I sure wish you had met him. He seemed to love all.. I am sure you would have loved him also. Love to you. I miss you.
I am not sure why I didn't get an email notification letting me know you wrote on my page. I just happened to see it. I am glad I did. If by chance you ever write me and I don't write back it may be I didn't see it or Im not online. I hope your difficulty lessons more and more each day. I noticed a few people who are normally fairly active in the forums have almost stopped. or completely stopped. The acquaintance I had told you about has a page here. Maybe you can look it up and read some of his writings. His name Ron Payne. I don't think its a private page so you should be able to find it. He has a poem/song on his page that I like reading too
I do hope you get better soon. I hope that through this time you grow closer and closer in love with the Lord. I am sure you have plenty of shoulders to lean on but even so. If you need mine just let me know. Big LOVE to you.... <3
There is nothing, indeed, which God will not do for a man who dares to step out upon what seems to be the mist; though as he puts down his foot he finds a rock beneath him. --F. B. Meyer
Hey, Stopping by to say hey and to read up on your comment post. :-). I learn..... thank you. hugs to you..... I look forward to seeing more of your post. <3
"... unity is not found in uniformity of thought, but in the fellowship of the Spirit, based on sound doctrine which, in turn, is predicated on the clear teaching of Scripture. This is why Paul exhorts us to "mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them" (Rom 16:17). The false prophets call for unity based not on Scriptural doctrine, but on their [the false prophets] claim for authority. Those who insist on fellowship based on sound doctrine are labeled legalists, while the false prophets are the ones imposing unscriptural demands upon those who follow them." - Al Dager, Media Spotlight Special Report, "Latter-Day Prophets: The Restoration of Apostles and Prophets and the Kansas City-Vineyard Connection", September, 1990, (p. 14).
“We are suffering today from a species of Christianity as dry as dust, as cold as ice, as pale as a corpse, and as dead as King Tut. We are suffering not from a lack of correct heads but of consumed hearts.” ~Vance Havner~
Hey!!!! :-) Thank you for stopping by my page. Im glad I looked... for some reason I dont get notifications when I get a post on my page. I do on other things here though. :-/ I havent checked on the forums lately. Have you been active? How are you doing? I have been at my daughters nearing 2 weeks now. I miss being home but I know when I leave here and get there I will miss being here. Its so good seeing you . I have missed you. I need to make a habit of stopping in on AAG more. I do try to read the prayer request but I am way behind on forums. hugs to you.
The strength of the vessel can be demonstrated only by the hurricane, and the power of the Gospel can be fully shown only when the Christian is subjected to some fiery trial. If God would make manifest the fact that “He giveth songs in the night,” He must first make it night. —William Taylor

John 15:19 , 17:14-16 I Cor 2:12

Collossians 3:1-4

Spurgeon had it right when he said, “Truth seldom goes without a scratched face, for men love her not.”

A GREAT DECEPTION
Arthur W. Pink

"... unity is not found in uniformity of thought, but in the fellowship of the Spirit, based on sound doctrine which, in turn, is predicated on the clear teaching of Scripture. 14).

The strength of the vessel can be demonstrated only by the hurricane, and the power of the Gospel can be fully shown only when the Christian is subjected to some fiery trial. If God would make manifest the fact that “He giveth songs in the night,” He must first make it night.
