My story with God

WAS TAUGHT ABOUT HIM AT A VERY YOUNG AGE BUT WILD OUT IN MY TEENAGE YEARS BUT HE SAVED MY LIFE WHEN I WAS BETWEEN 18 AND 19 AND I GAVE HIM MY LIFE THEN AND BEEN SERVING HIM THROUGH HIS GRACE EVERY SINCE AND I'M 55 YEARS OLD NOW

Comment on Wake Up Call

There are times in our lives we think we are doing the right things for us and others, and keep on that trail. Then God wakes us up and tells us to go another way. This so reminds me of the poem footprints. Why is there only one set of footprints if you are with me? Jesus says, That is when I carried you. This is so emotional for me. Jesus is always with us, and guides us through our lives. Amen.

Thank you for all your kind words and inspiration Alcedes. God continues to show me ways to stay strong in Him. I am reading chapter 1 of John, and my study Bible is helping me understand more, how to be a better christian. My Mom told me Colossians shows you how to live a christian life. Is there a book in the Bible you have really learned from more to be closer to God? Pray for me to stay on God's path, and read His Word. You are a blessing in the group God's Word, and we are all blessed to have fellowship with each other.

We are all equal in God's eyes. I have read some of Romans, but need to read more to learn from it. I am still reading Colossians, and John, learning how to live a christian life, following the example of Christ. Paul was so dedicated in telling others about Jesus. I want to be like that in the way of witnessing. Pray for me Alcedes, God will lift me up to share The Word.

Do you have a verse or verses you particularly love from Romans to share with me. Love always in Christ, Ruth:D

The Times in Which We Live

Jesus never told us to predict a day or hour when He would return, but He did tell us to be aware of the times in which we live and to always be ready for His coming.

What are we to do and how are we to live in the light of all that is taking place around us? Look up! God has a plan and He is working out His plan. The coming of the Lord is drawing near.

Here are four things God wants us to be doing as we await the sound of the trump of God and our gathering together unto Him:
- Guard your heart (Matthew 24: 12)
- Come together with other believers (Hebrews 10:25)
- Make Christ known (Matthew 24:14)
- Be full of hope (Titus 2:13)

I hope you had a beautiful Christmas in the birth of our Savior with your family. We spent Christmas with our son, and it was so wonderful. Really miss our daughter and grandgirls.
