My story with God

I didn't grow up in a house that taught much about God but when I was 3 I saw a bible and knew I wanted to read it when I got big. As soon as I was big enough to read I read the whole bible, and every book I could find about God. I made mistakes I was a kid and went thru peer pressure, but really devoted my life to God when I had my 1st child, a girl, at the age of 16. I lived fearing the Lord. I did everything right but for some reason even tho I knew God and he was my friend I got involved with drugs and alot of immoral stuff, but even in this immoral life I still prayed to God that I was sorry and wanted to change but it took along time.
I have battled with real drug abuse since the age of 20 even tho I experimented a little before my daughter was born.. I almost died many times and while dying cried out to God to let me live to be with my kids. He saved my life. He fed me and my son when we were homeless, but it wasn't until I was using more than ever and trapped in drugs away from home, away from my kids and family. I was hurt with guilt, I suffered physically from needle sticks, mentally from knowing I was wrong, spiritually being away from God and emotionally needing my kids and family back . I prayed every day for 8 months and before I died or things got worse and I 'de be lost forever he found me a way out of the place, out of the drugs and back to the arms of my kids and family. Now I'm back to myself being a good parent, better than I ever was. Living without sinning as much as I can control and worshiping the Lord. I am free from sin and saved thru Jesus. I am also by the grace of God an ordained minister.

Other stuff about me:

I want to stop doing other bad habits to give up every fleshly desire. I am a proud parent and I have discovered real love, real appreciation, real understanding, and real strength when God saved me. When he brought me back to my parents and my kids I knew that in this world without feelings, and full of deceit and hurt, that home is the only place people really care about and believe in me. True forgiveness is here and with the Lord. I have learned so many lessons and wish to teach others who went thru what I went thru how to be saved and be strong enough to take the steps God shows a person to take when changing. Thats why I have become a Minister. I am not your typical type of minister, I am down-to-earth so people will feel comfortable and know that I am not above them but equal only able to teach and help.
