I'm passionate about...: Becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ and helping others to do the same.

I am passionate for revival to touch the whole world, I am passionate to see young people established in the faith. I am passionate to help hurting people finding help in their hour of need.
My story with God: Many times we come up against the issue of supporting others. Illness, Finances, relationships, and death are a few issues where support is called for.

I want to discuss how we are to support those who are afflicted with illness whether emotional, physical, or spiritual.

As Christians we have a responsibility to care for those who are ill, First by prayer, because we should always be lifting up those who are sick and ask God to heal them.

While we are waiting for that healing to manifest we should be doing all we can by supporting them in a practical since. Bring meals, visit them, go do errands for them, do Bible studies with them if they are up to it. And most of all keep praying with, and for them.

Do not ever make the person feel bad if they are not instantly healed. The two pillars of love are patience and kindness, our job is to support them and not judge them.

“Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;” ( James 5:14 )

“Because I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you welcomed me. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
“Then the righteous will say to him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you something to eat, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or see you naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?”
40The king will answer them, “I tell you with certainty, since you did it for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.” ( Matthew 25:35-40 )

“And they were casting out many demons and were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them.' ( Mark 6:16 )

“...they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." ( Mark 16:18b, )

Also there will be support that is needed for those who have mental issues. Our support for them could be to make sure they are taking their prescribed medications, visiting them, and to just be in their life for them.

The scripture says to comfort ( be near ) the feeble minded. ( Fainthearted, discouragement, little strength, timid ) (1 Thessalonians 5:14 0

This scripture really says a lot about what it means to comfort some one with a mental illness, “to be near them”.

Many times we just stay clear of them and hope the secular doctors can help them.

You may know of someone in your church who has one of their family member diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Others might have a family member who is suicidal, and maybe your best Christian friend has fallen into clinical depression.

It is at these times that we need to draw near to them and bring comfort, support, and encouragement to them.

There was a story in Mark chapter two about a paralyzed man who was brought to Jesus to be healed, His friends were so disparate to see their friend healed that they literally tore the roof off the house so they could lower the cot with the paralyzed man was on it down into the house where Jesus was, and the man was healed.

This is such a picture of how we are to support and help the sick. These men loved their friend and had faith to believe Jesus could heal him and they were so convinced that they went to extremes to see their friend healed.

It makes all the difference in the world for those who are afflicted with physical or mental illness to know that they are loved and do not have to face their illness alone.
Other stuff about me:: I write devotionals that I share with others, I write them from the things God is teaching me every day.

I know how discouraged we can get and how important it is to find a refreshing word of encouragement. I desire to have the moral character of Jesus to develop more in my life so that glory will be given to God. I desire to touch others with the love of God in this new year like never before.

I want nothing more than to hear my Lord say well done thy good and faithful servant, to end my race well for Him and to finish the race of faith he has given to me.

Hi Bob, I think it is a great idea to do Alpha at the college. Hopefully the students will check it out. You should make it interesting to the students, make it appealing and maybe pray and fast. God bless your efforts. I hope you and Lynda enjoy your honeymoon in September. Are you on a farm, where you are located, or are you surrounded by farms? Are you still in the mountains? Here it has been hot and humid. Sometimes I will go to Border's Book Store or Barnes and Nobles and spend time with the Lord and read some books that are about heaven, or about a spiritual subject and pray and intercede as I read. It helps to be in airconditioning. I love to pray and seek God, and I love to intercede with others or worship God at the end of the day. God is so faithful. Little Ryan is growing fast, he is growing out of that newborn baby look, and is already over 12 lbs. Elizabeth has to go back to work, on Aug. 15th, which is her birthday. I know it will be hard for her to leave the kids. Elizabeth's sister-in-law, Leslie, who she went to school with, watches them. Steven's sister, Leslie, is one of her best friends. The 10/40 Windows (located between 10 - 40 degrees North of Equator - between West Africa to East Asia) need Missionaries, have no church at all, and there live about 40 percent of the world population. INDONESIA, my country is in the 10-40 windows though we have churches. Please also pray for ISRAEL and all over the world. Let's get on our knees, praying hand in hand with me for their revival. I look forward to the day when the Lord who I kneel to worship will be recognized by all the living and the dead as the One True Lord.

Hi Bob, I am glad the children got together and everyone got along so well. I am glad that you and Lynda are showing them God's love. The hard thing about Cheryl's situation is the guilt she might deal with when she thinks about repenting of her sin and turning back to God. I know that Nina probably has alot of guilt, but I am praying for her to turn back to her God, the heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus. We need to consistently pray for them to turn back. Getting into this lifestyle, has to do with alot of hurt and wounds. They need a real healing and they need a revelation of God's love for them. It is important, for Cheryl and the kids, that she turn back to God. She is going to need love and support when she does, Nina too. I will keep her in prayers, along with Nina, for I am certain that she will come back. Nina too, alot of prayers have been lifted up for her. God is faithful. God bless you, brother. Jackie

As for me oh my brother I fear to pray or to preach coz any day or time I do that that will be the day that I will commit sin after praying or preaching though I don't want to and this has been the monkey on my back masturbation oh now have i gone i back into what i was once delivered from. Thanks Bob, for your message on my page. Jacob just got over pneumonia too, and my friend Bruce, also has had tumors on his voice box. I am glad that your brother is out of the hospital and I will pray for him. I hope he is there for you and his children as well. Hope your time, yours and Linda's, with the Pastor and family and elder and family, went well. I know it is alot of preparation and clean-up, but it is worth it! You know that "Hind's Feet on High Places" is one of my favorite books! I have read it many times, and I love it. There are so many nuggets of wisdom and special lessons to receive from that book. I love the way that Much Afraid, becomes Grace and Glory, and the transformation that she receives. Also all the lessons she learns and altars she makes on the way to the High Places. I also have read some of "Mountains and Spices" which is a sequel to "Hinds Feet on High Places." They are both great books.
I am glad that things are going well. Be prepared for whatever God has for you. His Glory is coming in a greater way. Bob, I will try to locate the testimony you talked about, as soon as I can. I love you and Linda. Be blessed, my brother, love in Christ. Jackie
