Be steadfast by God's grace in the work of the Lord. I thank God for your desire to point souls to Jesus Christ. It is the greatest work on earth and the most beneficial opportunity one can give to any one who is not saved. I am praying for you. I have been a couple times to your country and so I know a bit of the challenges that confront you in preaching the gospel. Just keep it pure and uncompromising as it is given in the word of God and let it go forth with its own mighty power.

    Blessed regards

Dear Brother here in the USA we celebrate a day of thanksgiving this Thursday. There are many traditions like eating turkey and families coming together to be with each other. There is also a huge parade that we always watch on Tv from New York City. But most of all we remember to be thankful for all that God has brought us through in the past year. I am thankful that I have been aquanted with a man of God like yourself. May God help us all to have thankful hearts. In the love of Jesus

Oh yeah; I wanted to let you know that my daughter Heather's 2nd cousin> Lorna Deuk ( Crossroads Commincations/ 100 Huntley Street: Hamilton Ont. Canada ) is a journalist, and she spent much time in Uganda many years ago when so much heartbreak had been taking place. My heart cried right along with millions of people all over the world as we watched the news. Lorna is no longer with Cross Roads as she hason television now for years, every Sunday: and she travels all over the world in the name of Jesus Christ; covering news and being there for people in need. Just wanted to let you know this my dear brother.

Really nice meeting you too, great job in the youth ministry in Uganda, I am not sure how I could be of help in any way as a Child and Youth Counselor, I would have to see the situation to be able to tell if I could help. Here is a music video, listen to it and let me know what you think of it. I love listening to music like that.

hello, here's a joke to cheer you up-

    BIGGER TURKEY-
A woman walks into a butcher's shop just before closing time and asks, "Do you have any turkey?"

The butcher opens his fridge, takes out his only turkey and puts it on the weighing scales. It weighs six pounds.

The woman looks at the turkey and at the scales and asks, "Do you have one that's a bit bigger than this one, please?" The butcher puts the turkey back into the fridge and then takes it out again, but this time when he puts it on the scales he keeps his thumb on the turkey. The scales now show eight pounds.

"That's wonderful," says the woman. "I'll take both of them, please!"

    (Ha ha ha.... gotcha butcher!)

    Dear Brother,
My heart goes out to you in the loss of your Dad. I lost my Dad a few years back, and my mom last April. I want you to know that god will give you grace during this hard time. I really felt the leading of the Spirit to send you the 2 pictures yesterday. You are safe in the Father God's arms, and He loves you very much.

Father God will you touch my Brothers heart today and comfort and console him in the loss of his father? Will you help him to know that you are there for him through the grief , and through his tears.

Dear God help us to remember that one day there will be no more death ans sorrow and mourning will be no more. Jesus wept when he saw the grief of Mary and Martha over the loss of their brother, so we find comfort in the fact the Jesus our savior understand how hard it is for us to loose those we love to death. Father all we can do is to come to you and allow you through the power of the Spirit bind up our broken hearts. Thank You for you love and grace that you show us each day, In the name of Jesus, Amen

    THROWING IN THE TOWEL
I recently listened to a young man share his testimony and he said a phase that stuck with me, “I felt like throwing in the towel.” I guess I have heard this phase many times before, but this time it stuck with me. When times are hard and it looks like we can't make ends meet, we might want to throw in the towel.

If you are a boxing fan you will be very familiar with the phase, “throwing in the towel” As a symbol that they were giving up or had had enough, the team that was losing would throw in the towel for its fighter, indicating that they had had enough and were going to accept defeat rather than carry on and risk damaging their fighter.

When we don't think that we can win, and a loss looks a grim inevitability, we might want to throw in the towel and give up.

Galatians 6:9 Paul encourages the church by sayings, “Let's not get tired of doing what is good, for at the right time we will reap a harvest-if we do not give up.”

All I can think of is a farmer who has planted all his fields with corn and one day later he goes out and waters his corn only to notice that his corn hasn't come up, and then he throws in the towel and says, “ I give up on waiting for this corn to come up.”

What is his problem? He isn't enduring the time it takes for the corn to sprout and come up.

Jesus complemented the church at Ephesus by saying; “You have endured, suffered trouble because of my name, and have not grown weary. ( Revelations 2:3)

They hadn't thrown in the towel because of the hardships they were having to endure because they were Christ followers.

We throw in the towel only when we are defeated. We give up when we feel we can't win. This is why we give up on our rebellious teenagers, we throw in the towel in our marriages, we give up on our friends who is caught in the grip if addiction, we throw in the towel at our jobs and walk out saying things are never going to change.

Throwing in the towel can be the defining quality of may of our lives even as Christians.

Thomson Edison did not exactly discover the bulb but improved it. Before Edison's experiment, the problem was that the bulb had a very short lifetime. He had to find a filament that would glow for a much longer time than before. In 1879, after performing 6,000 experiments on different materials, he observed that a carbon filament lasted the longest.

What if Thomas Edison had thrown in the towel? I do not know if I could have endured 6000 experiments, but we are all thankful today because he did.

We should also have hearts of gratitude to Jesus because he did not throw in the towel either.

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
    ( Hebrews 12:2-3 )

    Prayer
Father we have to admit we have thrown in the towel to soon many times because we felt that victory was beyond our grasp. Jesus has given us an example in himself that we should not throw in the towel and give up because there is always hope and victory is assured. Father forgive us for giving up on those in our churches and families also. We know that you have never and will never throw the towel in and give up on us, so help us to do the same
