Once again, thanks for joining TheNET. I hope you make lots of good friends here and keep growing in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord.
Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I look forward to getting to know you.
Israel had a son who was born to him when he was was old named Joseph. It appears that Israel favored him more than his other sons. He made Joseph a coat, sewing together patches of colored cloth, that was considered a coat of distinction. His other brothers were very jealous of Israel's relationship with Joseph, and because of the fathers favoritism. The story begins when Joseph was only 17 years old. (Genesis 37)
Joseph had done nothing; yet he becomes the scape goat, and a target for this dysfunctional family.
“When Joseph's brothers saw that their father loved him more than he loved them, they hated their brother and could not speak to him politely.” ( Genesis 37:4 )
His brothers were all adults except Benjamin who was younger than Joseph, yet they acted like children in how they related to their brother. In their eyes he was the problem in their relationship with their father, and thought if they got rid of him then the problem would be gone.
One time Joseph had a dream and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him even more.
The story becomes even more tragic when the brother transpire to kill him, but end up selling him into slavery.
I do not believe that Joseph did anything to deserve the treatment that he received from his family. He was just a kid who had a relationship with his elderly father as though he was his grandfather instead of his father, and had a what ended up being a prophetic dream that God gave him.
I say this because of the way Joseph conducted himself for 13 years in Egypt. He is one of the few men in the Old Testament that has nothing negative written about him.
I can not keep from getting a tear in my eye when I read about the re-union of the brothers in Genesis chapter 45:1-4, you can feel the deep emotion.
“Joseph could not control himself in front of his servants any longer, so he cried out, "Have everyone leave me." When only the brothers were left with Joseph, he told them who he was. Joseph cried so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and the people in the king's palace heard about it.
He said to his brothers, "I am Joseph. Is my father still alive?" But the brothers could not answer him, because they were very afraid of him. So Joseph said to them, "Come close to me." When the brothers came close to him, he said to them, "I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold as a slave to go to Egypt.”
Maybe your like me who was born again into a non - Christian family where I always felt like I was on the outside looking in when I became a Christian at the age of15. It was very painful to be rejected, and treated like an outsider, but most of my emediate family that I grew up with have also become Christians since then, but it took many years.
There is nothing more painful than just wanting to belong, but when you are set apart as Joseph was it can mean years of loneliness. I know in some parts of the world that it can mean complete and total rejection from your entire family if you Become a Christ follower.
Maybe you are in a family where your parents, your spouse, or your children are not Christians; this situation sets you up as a target by the enemy, like Joseph you go it alone without the love and companion of a family in your walk with the Lord.
Maybe also like Joseph you will be the salvation of your intire family.
Prayer;
Father God I know that the story of Joseph is played out in many families today. I pray for those who feel isolated and rejected from their families that you will give to them the grace to stay faithful to you in the face of persecution. Holy Spirit pour the love of the Father into our hearts so we will not become bitter and resentful. and use us like Joseph to bring salvation to our families. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Thanks add me as your friend.
Jesus Christ said that he is the way ,the truth and the life for heaven.
Hope ,Love and faith are my most important words.
Trusting in Humans or Trusting in God
This is what the Lord says:
"A curse is placed on those who trust other people, who depend on humans for strength, who have stopped trusting the Lord. They are like a bush in a desert that grows in a land where no one lives,
a hot and dry land with bad soil. They don't know about the good things God can give. "But the person who trusts in the Lord will be blessed. The Lord will show him that he can be trusted.”
(Jeremiah 17:5-7 NCV)
The word, “curse ” is such a powerful word. In the Hebrew it reads, “bitterly cursed”.
Why is trusting in people, and depending on other people for strength so wrong? If you read on it is because they stopped trusting in the Lord. It is wrong to trust in, or depend on other people for strength, might, or power instead of Lord.
This does not mean that we are to go live in the woods like a hermit because we don't need other people, it just means that our trust remains firm in the Lord so that if the people in our lives go off course we aren't swept along with them like a flock of sheep running over a cliff.
When we begin to displace our trust in the Lord we are headed for trouble especially if we are placing our trust in non-Christians. We can find ourselves as the scripture says living in a horrible situation;
“They are like a bush in a desert that grows in a land where no one lives,
a hot and dry land with bad soil.”
Some one who has their trust in people and not in the Lord is in a place where they don't know about the good things God can give. All they know is the reality of what they derive from others. This is why when some one places their trust in the Lord for salvation it can cause such an uproar. The enemy longs to keep us making little god's out of other people instead of making Jesus the lord of our lives.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5)
“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” ( James 1:5 )
"But the person who trusts in the Lord will be blessed. The Lord will show him that he can be trusted.” ( Jeremiah 17:7 )
God will show us as we place our trust in Him that he is trustworthy.
“Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.” ( Isaiah 26:4 )
Prayer
Father God please forgive us for making other people little god's in our lives, help us to dethrone other people, and set you on the throne of our lives. We will trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal. In Jesus name amen

“The Lord says, "Get away (GK; escape, come out, come forth, depart ) from unbelievers. Separate ( GK; divide, separate, sever ) yourselves from them. Have nothing to do with anything unclean. Then I will welcome you." ( 2 Corinthians 6:17 GWT )
“We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.
For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp.
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
So, let us go out ( GK; come forth, depart, escape, get out ) to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach.” ( Hebrews 13:10-13 NAS )
"I have been crucified ( in Him I have shared His crucifixion ) with Christ; ( outside the gate ) and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith ( by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in ) in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” ( Galatians 2:20 )
Yes God is calling us as crucified with Christ Christians to come outside the gate with Jesus. This is where we are to live our lives in reliance and complete trust in the Son Of God.
We are not part of the world anymore, there is nothing there that we need or want anymore. We have exchanged our old sinful lives for a new life, a life of faith and complete reliance and complete trust, so we can never live our lives like we did before. We gladly bare the reproach of Christ bearing the contempt, abuse and shame with Him.
We are called to bring others outside the camp, by going into the world and preaching the gospel inviting others to come outside the gate and find salvation through the sacrifice of the Son Of God. ( see Matthew 28;19, Mark 16:15 )
We can never live inside the gate of the world again.
Peter wrote;“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.” ( 1Peter 2:11 )
Paul also wrote; “Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” ( Galatians 5:24 )
John wrote; “Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” ( 1 John 2:15 )
We are in the World, but not of this world anymore. We are ambassadors, and pilgrims who belong to another kingdom that is not of this world.
Jesus prayed for us; “I'm not asking you to take them out of the world but to protect them from the evil one. They don't belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Use the truth to make them holy. Your words are truth. I have sent them into the world the same way you sent me into the world. I'm dedicating myself to this holy work I'm doing for them so that they, too, will use the truth to be holy.” ( John 17:15-19 GWT )
Prayer
Father God thank you for helping us to come out of the world, outside of the gate and find salvation through the Christ Jesus sacrifice upon the cross. Help us to use the truth revealed in your Word to make us holy and set apart for your special purpose. We are truly aliens herein this world as we are endeavoring to bring others outside the gate and show them the way of salvation. Thank you Jesus for your prayer for us while we are here. We gladly bare your reproach and desire to be salt and light to the world showing others the way to life and life eternal. In Jesus name amen.

OUTSIDE THE GATE WITH JESUS
