Interests:: My greatest interest is to build up the Body of Christ.

I love the Word of God and I also love having The Holy Spirit in my life.

I'm passionate about...: Becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ and helping others to do the same.

I am passionate for revival to touch the whole world, I am passionate to see young people established in the faith. I am passionate to help hurting people finding help in their hour of need.
My story with God: Many times we come up against the issue of supporting others. Illness, Finances, relationships, and death are a few issues where support is called for.

I want to discuss how we are to support those who are afflicted with illness whether emotional, physical, or spiritual.

As Christians we have a responsibility to care for those who are ill, First by prayer, because we should always be lifting up those who are sick and ask God to heal them.

While we are waiting for that healing to manifest we should be doing all we can by supporting them in a practical since. Bring meals, visit them, go do errands for them, do Bible studies with them if they are up to it. And most of all keep praying with, and for them.

Do not ever make the person feel bad if they are not instantly healed. The two pillars of love are patience and kindness, our job is to support them and not judge them.

“Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;” ( James 5:14 )

“Because I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you welcomed me. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
“Then the righteous will say to him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you something to eat, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or see you naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?”
40The king will answer them, “I tell you with certainty, since you did it for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.” ( Matthew 25:35-40 )

“And they were casting out many demons and were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them.' ( Mark 6:16 )

“...they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." ( Mark 16:18b, )

Also there will be support that is needed for those who have mental issues. Our support for them could be to make sure they are taking their prescribed medications, visiting them, and to just be in their life for them.

The scripture says to comfort ( be near ) the feeble minded. ( Fainthearted, discouragement, little strength, timid ) (1 Thessalonians 5:14 0

This scripture really says a lot about what it means to comfort some one with a mental illness, “to be near them”.

Many times we just stay clear of them and hope the secular doctors can help them.

You may know of someone in your church who has one of their family member diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Others might have a family member who is suicidal, and maybe your best Christian friend has fallen into clinical depression.

It is at these times that we need to draw near to them and bring comfort, support, and encouragement to them.

There was a story in Mark chapter two about a paralyzed man who was brought to Jesus to be healed, His friends were so disparate to see their friend healed that they literally tore the roof off the house so they could lower the cot with the paralyzed man was on it down into the house where Jesus was, and the man was healed.

This is such a picture of how we are to support and help the sick. These men loved their friend and had faith to believe Jesus could heal him and they were so convinced that they went to extremes to see their friend healed.

It makes all the difference in the world for those who are afflicted with physical or mental illness to know that they are loved and do not have to face their illness alone.
Other stuff about me:: I write devotionals that I share with others, I write them from the things God is teaching me every day.

I know how discouraged we can get and how important it is to find a refreshing word of encouragement. I desire to have the moral character of Jesus to develop more in my life so that glory will be given to God. I desire to touch others with the love of God in this new year like never before.

I want nothing more than to hear my Lord say well done thy good and faithful servant, to end my race well for Him and to finish the race of faith he has given to me.

Yes that future son in law of mine is such a darling i am very fond of him and the fact that he loves the Lord with his whole heart make me love him more!
I am so glad that your divorce is now over and done i am still struggling to get through with mine. It is really sad that when you see someone back sliding and they dont want to take any advice from anyone, and that you cant really help them your hands are tied... but it is only prayer and the working of the HOly Spirit in their heart to bring them to the Lord.
You are enjoying the groups hey? I am making it a prayer in my heart that the Lord will open a way for me to do this fulltime...May God grant you wisdom in everything you do for Him!!

Hi Bob, could you put a picture on my page as well. I really need to find out how to do it. I am sorry about Gladys. I will continue to pray for her and George too. I know it must be hard for you too, but if it is her time, she will be rejoicing in heaven. But if not God will bring healing. I just took Jacob to a nursing home for a week. It is a good place for him, they have a pedi floor where even young adults can go. I feel bad for him when I leave him there, though I know he will be well taken care of and it is only a week. I will miss him. I know he knows whether I am with him or not. He will also miss the nurse, who is a believer, I led her to the Lord. Sometimes I lay down next to him and hold him. He loves that and smiles and sometimes laughs. He went to the nursing home once before, and adjusted well they said. It was when we went to Justin's wedding. They enjoyed him there, and could tell he had a good personality. They also commented on his good looks. By the way, my friend said God is taking care of me. When she came over, she saw a large angel, on the deck of our house, she said he had curly black hair, and he was huge. She said that nothing could get past him. Then she saw him going around the house. Praise God, we have nothing to fear! God bless you, brother. Love, Jackie

Hi Bob, I appreciate the music you put on my page, it is a blessing. I also appreciate all the work you put into the theme code. Excellent on all accounts. The group section I think is right up your alley.

Alpha is a great tool. I have considered it and plan to eventually use it here. I have hear very positive things about it, like people getting saved :-)

We are doing OK. We just launched a College and Career Group. I am excited about it. We are doing a wide-open discussion time focused on their faith challenges. We are seeing other positives as well. The church is growing slowly and the group we have is solid and highly encouraged about what God is doing and where we are headed.

I love being able to celebrate Passover too. Did you know that the Roman Church banned Passover, early on , around 300 AD. I also found out that on the same day Jesus is crucified and the same hour He dies and says "It is finished", is the same day and hour (3 PM) that the Passover Lamb is killed and the Priest says "It is finished". It is obvious who the Passover Lamb is! Love in Him. Jackie

Hi Bob, the Passover was special. It was at my friend Karen's House, her husband was the leader and a sister in the Lord, was a narrator. It was a meaningful celebration, with seven of us present. Afterwards we had prayer and God spoke to us. It was a blessed Passover. After church on Sunday, we are going to my sister Mary's house to celebrate Easter. Alyvia, Elizabeth's daughter, is going to go egg hunting for the first time. Of course church will be the true celebration. Hope your Easter, Resurrection Day, is blessed! Love in Christ.

Nice to hear from you... I found your church website the other day but now I cannot find it again... Can you please give me your church website. I was so excited when I found it.

Please pray for South Africa. We are in an explosive situation as a result of our government being ungodly... We seem to be heading for the same sad situation as Zimbabwe. There is practically not one member of the ANC who is not corrupt. Our roads are chaos and crime is rife. Julius Malema (the President of the ANC Youth League) has started to sing hate words like : "Kill the farmer.... kill the boer" and farm murders are escalating. I wept when I read about one farm murder. The man was outside working and his wife and little five year old daughter were in the house. Five black men entered and forced the wife to unlock the safe... took the man's weapon and went outside ... and killed him. Went back to the house and raped and beat up the wife and they BEAT UP the little five year old girl! This is so sad. Many of my overseas friends do not realize what is happening in South Africa. They want to nationalize the farms and all companies.

Please, dear friend, pray for South Africa... pray that the love of Jesus will touch the hearts of stone and turn them into flesh...
