Interests:: People, reading, research (land reform in South Africa, social theory)
I'm passionate about...: The new life we have in Christ, and the challenge we have to live each moment to His glory. I don't find it easy all day, but experience that in His Spirit, it is so much easier.

I'm also passionate about the privilege to have a blessed marriage and to have a wonderful son.
My story with God: By God's grace I gave my heart to Him and had the privilege to be baptised the same day (11/11/1998). Since then I have realised the importance to stay close to Jesus' heartbeat, and to be led by the Holy Spirit. I have also realised that we as body are not perfect, but that we need to build each other, be prepared to forgive and, above all: to love each other.
I am greatful to our Father for His grace and power to deliver from sin.
Other stuff about me:: Currently living in The Netherlands due to work-related responsibilities with my family (since August 2006), due to return to South Africa in September 2008.

In the footsteps of my mom Nienie (below), welcome to this wonderful site. Like my friend Bob Bushman says, God is working a revival in Africa...starting from South africa up! I fully agree for South Africans-after suffering sooo much violence under apartheid-are now coming up strongly as peace-makers in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

It touches my heart that the person appointed to head the commission to look into the genesis of what went wrong in the last presidential election in Kenya which brought about so much death and destruction, is a South African Mr. Johann Kriegler!!

Blessed are the peace-makers...for they shall be called the children of God (Matt 5:9). I am proud to be adopted into this wonderful land.

God bless South Africa...Africa and the entire world. Again, welcome Brother Francois-Pst. Bernhard

Hello Francois, pleased to meet you on this site. I would love to be added as one of your friends. I have been a member since October but recently haven't had a lot of time to catch up with my friends. It's great to see how many more members have joined since then, quite amazing! I pray regularly for Africa, Rwanda and Uganda particularly, as we have a number of people from our church who go there to minister to the people and join in worship and praise. They offer much help and healing and our Lord is doing wonderful and amazing things for Africa. I notice that you are returning to Africa in September. AND HE KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM.

He will never abandon HIS Children, throughout
their entire lives. For He is always with us no matter
what we may face, as He further promised: WHEN YOU
PASS THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH YOU;
AND THROUGH THE RIVERS,* THEY SHALL NOT
OVERFLOW YOU. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE
