Welcome to AAG. We want your experience here to be positive and uplifting. There are a couple of things that can help you maximize your experience.

Forums and Blogs: Forums are for asking questions and for sharing a response to a question someone has posted. This is a great opportunity for “iron to sharpen iron.” Blogs are for posting an opinion, view or specific message regarding a subject.

Making New Friends: You will make many new friends here on AAG. Some will send a friend invite to you. You have the choice to accept or decline. When an invite has been sent to you the “My Friends” the upper right box on your home page will be followed by the word “New”.” Simply click on the icon and make your choice. To invite someone to be your friend you simply need to go to their home page and click on “add as friend” under their personal photo. Once someone is your friend you will be able to email each of your friends on AAG. You can also leave a message on someone personal page, but note that everyone will be able to read what you leave there.

IMs: You can IM anyone who is on line by clicking on their picture located at the upper right part of the page.

Chat Room: There is a chat room located near the top of the AAG main page. It is a great place to get to know people better.

Videos: You can also upload Christian videos on the AAG main page or watch them. They are located down the left side of the main page.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. We are here to serve you to the best of our abilities.

Only time will tell whether he will return, however, when/if he does return, you need to rethink the relationship. Base it on whether your head not your heart knows that he is totally committed to God...that takes time. Don't let your heart lead you...only your head. While he is gone, just leave it in God's hands and move on. Act as if he will NOT be coming back, otherwise you will stagnate...you need to grow and learn and branch out to other believers where you can be enriched and fulfilled. Find a ministry that can give you the rewards only God can give. Something outside of your home. In this way, you will see God using you and working in your life, and you won't be pining away for someone who may not return....in fact, you may see it as a blessing. God allows FREE WILL so He will not force some one to do what they do not want to do, even wandering husbands. 1Cor 7, tells us that we are to let the unbelieving partner go....and a person who is totally connected to self...and what self wants may not be a true believer....only God knows....if you need some guidance, email me, I'd be glad to help..

    Hi Patience
I'm in a similar position to you. My husband and I split a year ago and I've been holding out, hoping that he'll have a change of heart. Like you I've always believed in God, but it wasn't until just recently that I reached out to Him. I will pray for you and your husband and your reconciliation. If you ever want to chat or need a little support, I'd be more than glad to listen.
  • Magnolia

I agree with you, I wasn't even looking for a sight like this when I stumbled across it. It is truly amazing how much more at peace I am since I've accepted God into my life.
It still hurts immensely but I trust that whatever happens regarding my husband it will be what is for the best. I wonder myself if am holding onto something that no longer exists. I do feel in my heart that he still loves me and I guess that is one of the reasons I can't let go. In the end I put it in God's hands and pray for strength to get through the day.

    God Bless,
    Magnolia (Alicia)

I just want to tell you that i read your free will post and im right there with you. I know you wrote it many months ago. But Gods timing was perfect for me to stumble across it today. Im in the same situation with my husband. And i really need encouragement. Sometimes it feels so hopeless. But with God all things are possible. Dont give Up!

    Daily Devotion

Habakkuk 3:17 &18 - "Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall no herd be in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation." (KJV)

My favorite character in the Bible is Job. A lot of people talk about the "patience of Job", and yet there was more than just patience at risk. One after another, messengers brought news, "While he was still speaking....". And yet, after losing his herds, his home, his servants, and finally his family, he still praised God.

Satan's one desire is to break us Christians, troubles and trials are always coming our way! It seems that sometimes the more we follow God's plan for our lives, the harder things get.

And yet, God is the God of circumstances, too. No matter how bleak it seems, He is in control.

How we face the trials and troubles that come our way determine whether we win or lose the battle. The war is already won, but the battles are ours.

It's easier to face today when we know that God has promised us tomorrow.

Isaiah 64:4 says, "For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither eye seen, O God, beside Thee, what He hath prapared for him that waiteth for Him."

Fight on, Oh Christian, remember that our God reigns, He has already determined the outcome. Hold fast, O Warrior, keep your eye on tomorrow, and Praise the Lord.

    It's Not an Easy Road
    by John W. Peterson

It's not an easy road we are traveling to heaven, For many are the thorns on the way
It's not an easy road, but the Savior is with us His presence gives us joy every day.

It's not an easy road - there are trials and troubles And many are the dangers we meet
But Jesus guards and keeps so that nothing can harm us We'll rest in peace over there.

Tho I am often footsore and weary from travel, Tho I am often bowed down with care
A better day is coming when home in the glory We'll rest in peace over there.

    No, no, it's not an easy road. No, no, it's not an easy road;
But Jesus walks beside me and brightens the journey, And lightens every heavy load

My dear Lord, sometimes it seems as if I can't keep going under the pressures of the world. Lord, sometimes it seems as if my shoulder are bowed with loads that are put there by the Destroyer. Help me to remember, Father, that although You allowed the devil to throw his worst my way, Lord, help me to remember that You are in control, that no matter what happens, YOU have already won. Help me to keep my eye on the Cross, hold my head up, and press on. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your grace. Thank You for fighting the battles before me and for me. Amen

Broken Things (Julie Miller cover) - Stacey Plunkett

    You can have my heart
    Though it isn't new
    It's been used and broken
    And only comes in blue
It's been down a long road
And it got dirty on the way
If I give it to you will you make it clean
    And wash the shame away

    You can have my heart
If you don't mind broken things
You can have my life if you don't mind these tears
Well I heard that you make old things new
So I give these pieces all to you
If you want it you can have my heart

    So beyond repair
    Nothing I could do
I tried to fix it myself
But it was only worse when I got through
Then you walked into my darkness
And you speak words so sweet
And you hold me like a child
Till my frozen tears fall at your feet
