Jesus Christ of Whom I have to learn so much about.
My story with God
I was born on a small island in the Caribbean and was raised catholic. I have a sister who is 3 years younger than I. When I was 11, my parents got divorced. Later my mother fell ill and spent a lot of time in and out of hospital. My sister and I were seperated and we went to live with relatives on different islands. When my mother got better some months later, we went to live with her again and she got remarried to a wonderful protestant man who looked after us as if we were his own. He was an alcoholic but he was a good man.
I can't say for sure when my problem started but I presume some time in this period I realized I was different to the other kids my age and I was attracted to people of the same sex and I grew up believing I was a "natura-born" homosexual. I could never admit this to my parents and have always kept it a secret.
Then we moved to South Africa 3 years after my parent got divorced. I went to school, learned a new language and met new people who lived life totally different than I was used and it was also the first time I ever saw and read a Bible. I know now that God was calling me or at least putting me in a situation were it was possible to get to know him but I did not listen and so life went on. I finished school and went on to work in the hospitality business and 30 years flew by. These 30 years were spent partying and drinking, using drugs like extacy and marijuana. I was never promiscuous but still had the odd empty meaningless encounter. I even had a 5 year long relationship that still left me empty even in the happiest times.
I have always been interested in "conspiracy theories" and last year saw a DVD collection called "Total Onslaught" by prof W.Veith and ordered that. I watched that thinking to get some juicy new conspricay theories but instead got a couple of shocks. Good ones I must say! I came to see the clear picture of things that are happening in the world and how we are duped purposefully into following and believing things contrary to God's word and if there is a faction working against the God of the Bible then he must exist and be Greater than I ever thought he was. I have now completely surrendered my whole being to Jesus because without him I'm nothing. Jesus, I love You and thank You for saving me from my life.

God doesn't want us to live our lives in fear. Over and over
the Bible tells us to fear not.
Yet with all the terrible things happening in the world, how
can we not be afraid? How can we overcome the temptation to
fear?
We must know and remember that God loves us and has a good plan
for us: including a home in Heaven and going to be with Jesus
when we die.
Also, we must know and remember the promises of God given in
the Bible concerning protection from evil, accident, and harm
in this life. For example:
PSALM 91:9-11 NKJ
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the
Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near
your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in
all your ways.
This is not to say that victims of tragic events are sinners,
or are not loved by God. Only that if we walk with God and heed
His direction, God promises to protect us.
We know many good people have died unexpectedly and tragically.
Yet the promise of God stands true and should not be doubted.
There is a place of protection as you live close to God and
walk in faith.
SAY THIS: God gives His angels charge over me, to keep me safe
in all my ways.
Thank you for sharing your testimony. A movie I saw that reminds me of what you saw was called the Matrix. A whole world of existence was all fabricated in their minds. The truth was that they were in all in a prison and had no idea.
This is how it is for those who do not know Jesus. The god of this world has blinded the minds of those who believe not. We have the truth that sets the captive free.
That empty feeling that people have who do not know the Lord is the key to unlock hearts. You know I have ministered to many people and they all have that God shaped whole in their lives and they want to know what is missing in their lives. I have never had some one who was being truthful deny that it is there. It is a pleasure to meet you brother.
Hi Ronman, Jesus loves you, there is no other place safer than with him.
The Lord said in psalm 91: 15-16, "He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will
I satisfy him and show him my salvation. Amen.
THANKS BELOVED IN THE LORD
HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE OK.
AS FOR ME ALL IS VERY OK DESPITE THE LIFE TRIBULATION BUT GOD IS IN CONTROL.
STAY FOCUSED
SHALOM.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
Renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
Make a new heart in me, My God! Create it out of Your Pureness! (2 Cor. 5:17) Make my heart brand new so that it is totally pure and without anything bad. Dear God, make a new and faithful spirit inside of me. Give me Your Holy Spirit that I may be faithful to you in all things!! (John 3:1-21) Have my heart stick to you no matter what comes my way!!
