Helping people with the time I have left!
I'm passionate about...
I am a 53 year old single dad of a 16 year old girl in the end game stage of Emphemazema and COPD, if I am part of the 50 % I can live another 5 years, at this stage even the comon cold can take my life! As young as I am there is so much I can not do and so much I will never be able to do, but what I can do I will enjoy to the fullest with what ever I have left! My last battle for breath lasted for 4 hours and I almost lost, in the end one piece of the life support equipment saved my life when I no longer had the strength to fight for even one more breath. My doctor says it won't always work. My 16 year old daughter lost her mom 2 years ago to cancer now she is getting ready to lose her dad. I thought I was just hurting myself only to find out I am hurting every one that knows me for I am a kind and gentle soul. This is not just about you this is about every body that loves you!!! One of the things I have chosen to do even though I do so at great risk because a common cold can take my life! Is to visit the schools to talk to the kids with tears in my eyes and I take them on a journey through my life and the bad choices I made and where they have led me now. I hide nothing and plead from my heart for them to please consider the cost! I know God has made a way for me to reach them because I see the tears in their eyes and their letters to me touch my soul like healing rain drops washing and purifying me befor God. I can not change it for me BUT I can change it for MANY, GOD help me to do so in a living, real and powerful way.

Quit befor the symtoms show up, I did not quit even after they showed up now my time is running out. I know I am to young to die because I don't know what I am going to be when I grow up. It is a life and death choice and I did not look at it that way when I still had time, now I am running out of time. And the only choice I have now is how to spend the little time I have left. The hard part is knowing the pain I am leaving behind me with my daughter and family and all the wonderful friends I am leaving.
My story with God
On the day I was to take my own life Jesus stood in my path and took my life for me and I was reborn in a new and living way.
Other stuff about me:
I know there are alot of christians that smoke and that does not make them bad it just makes them die early. But you have to desire the freedom and God will grant it unto you for no good thing will he with hold from you!

    Your story is so powerful,the part that was so powerful was ;
On the day I was to take my own life Jesus stood in my path and took my life for me and I was reborn in a new and living way.
My older brother came to the Lord last December, he smoked 5 packs a day and has many of the problems you have, God has helped him to stay off them. he is also paralized from the waist down with a neuromuscular desease. He is 50 and I am greatful that he has God in his life now and hwe has hope. It is so noble of you reaching out to kids in school, God bless you and my prayer is that God will restore your health and give you many more years.

Welcome to AAG. We want your experience here to be positive and uplifting. There are a couple of things that can help you maximize your experience.

Forums and Blogs: Forums are for asking questions and for sharing a response to a question someone has posted. This is a great opportunity for “iron to sharpen iron.” Blogs are for posting an opinion, view or specific message regarding a subject.

Making New Friends: You will make many new friends here on AAG. Some will send a friend invite to you. You have the choice to accept or decline. When an invite has been sent to you the “My Friends” the upper right box on your home page will be followed by the word “New”.” Simply click on the icon and make your choice. To invite someone to be your friend you simply need to go to their home page and click on “add as friend” under their personal photo. Once someone is your friend you will be able to email each of your friends on AAG. You can also leave a message on someone personal page, but note that everyone will be able to read what you leave there.

IMs: You can IM anyone who is on line by clicking on their picture located at the upper right part of the page.

Chat Room: There is a chat room located near the top of the AAG main page. It is a great place to get to know people better.

Videos: You can also upload Christian videos on the AAG main page or watch them. They are located down the left side of the main page.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. We are here to serve you to the best of our abilities.

We are glad you are here,

Hi Mike. It has been awhile since I heard form you? I just got your note on support and encouragement. I have been touched slightly with your predictament before....never really had to deal with it. The dentist sent me to the mouth cancer doctor but I never went.....I just stopped using my tobacco. I was also praying allot. I had beeen praying allot though before this for the past ten or so years....allways begging God for my life for one reason or the other. I know that we are not ot be faitless but the bible say that even when we are Jesus ramains faithful......that there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. A bunch of days I didn't know if I would live or die. They wouldn't let me see my family. It was terrible. Even my own father was involved with this. A courthouse full of individuals that did not legally have a fight to vote much less dictate to me what was best for my family....Jew killing, felons. The apostle Paul said he was 'brutaly treated.'

    Michael,
do not feel bad about asking the Lord to heal you and extend your life. Your sins have been forgiven and washed away because of Jesus sacrifice for you. He took your place on the cross this way you do not have to be there, He did it all and all we can do is thank Him.
Father God, thank You for delivering Michael from the cigarrettes addiction and thank you for using him to speak to all these kids in schools, thank you Lord for using him as a vessel of honor, I ask you Father to extend his life here on earth and to heal him completely, bless him beyond measure and be with him always and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
