GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD. HIS LOVE
    ENDURES FOREVER.
    ( PSALM 136:1 *NIV )

When we count all of our blessings we start to realize
how wonderful our Heavenly Father has been to us. For He not
only helps us in time of need, He blesses us abundantly as well.

Therefore we should; GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, CALL
ON HIS NAME; MAKE KNOWN AMONG THE NATIONS WHAT
HE HAS DONE. SING TO HIM, SING PRAISE TO HIM; TELL
OF HIS WONDERFUL ACTS. ( CHRONICLES 16:8-9 )

Further, why not start each day by counting your many
blessings, and sharing with others what God has done for you.
For King David did, for he wrote; I WILL GIVE YOU THANKS IN
THE GREAT ASSEMBLY; AMONG THRONGS OF PEOPLE I
    WILL PRAISE YOU. ( PSALM 35:18 )

Be thankful for all that God has done for you, and
thank Him in your prayers! For then He will smile down on you,
like a proud Father would on an obedient child!

Now please know that: I THANK MY GOD EVERY TIME I
REMEMBER YOU. IN ALL MY PRAYERS FOR ALL OF YOU,
I ALWAYS PRAY WITH JOY. Amen.
    ( PHILIPPIANS 1:3-4 )

Welcome to AAG. We want your experience here to be positive and uplifting. There are a couple of things that can help you maximize your experience.

Forums and Blogs: Forums are for asking questions and for sharing a response to a question someone has posted. This is a great opportunity for “iron to sharpen iron.” Blogs are for posting an opinion, view or specific message regarding a subject.

Making New Friends: You will make many new friends here on AAG. Some will send a friend invite to you. You have the choice to accept or decline. When an invite has been sent to you the “My Friends” the upper right box on your home page will be followed by the word “New”.” Simply click on the icon and make your choice. To invite someone to be your friend you simply need to go to their home page and click on “add as friend” under their personal photo. Once someone is your friend you will be able to email each of your friends on AAG. You can also leave a message on someone personal page, but note that everyone will be able to read what you leave there.

IMs: You can IM anyone who is on line by clicking on their picture located at the upper right part of the page.

Chat Room: There is a chat room located near the top of the AAG main page. It is a great place to get to know people better.

Videos: You can also upload Christian videos on the AAG main page or watch them. They are located down the left side of the main page.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. We are here to serve you to the best of our abilities.

We are glad you are here,
    LT

Yes God gave us the ability to feel pain as a protective measure so we would know not to touch a hot stove or to protect our selves from the cold by wearing a coat and gloves.

It is also true that God allows us to experience emotional pain to alert us that there is something wrong. Thank God that for most of us it was emotional pain that alerted us of a need for a savior.

In Psalm 23 David declares that God restores the soul. This will come about when we receive the free gift of salvation provided through faith in Jesus Christ.

What is awesome after we are born again is that we come alive spiritually. And now we experience spiritual pain which is conviction. It alerts us just like emotional pain and physical pain so we won't be hurt by embracing sin again.

I want to give you a wonderful illustration that helped me to understand humility.

The humblest horse is the horse who has become so receptive and obedient the the rider can use fishing line as reins.

Humility then is being sensitive and compliant to the Holy Spirit direction in our lives. A humble heart then is a heart that is filled and controlled by The holy Spirit.

    In the love of Jesus
