Hi, isn't God good? I am so glad that He never gives up on us and is the God of many 2nd, 5th, 26th and 491st chances (and beyond!) I am a homeschooling mother of 9 children, ages 2 to 19. I just wanted to drop in and say hello and welcome! Maybe we can talk, God bless you, Anna

Greetings in the Lord! This is Greg, TheNET Coordinator. Welcome! We're glad you are here and thank you for sharing your testimony of what God has done and is doing in your life! Praise Him!

Just wondering if you suffered hurricane damage last year, being from Louisana and all?

Please be sure to check out the Genesis Group and visit the Links for Growth forum for great tips on how to grow in Christ.

I also want to invite you to join our Bible study, In the Beginning: a study in the book of Genesis to help you know God better and grow in Him! You can click here to join the study.

Once again, thanks for joining TheNET. I hope you make lots of good friends here and keep growing in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord.

    Judy,

Ever crossed your mind that the 30 bygone years could just have been your preparatory phase? Yes they were...and am sure they have brought out all the strengths and weakness in you and laid both bare before your very eyes. You have now reached the age of spiritual maturity for even Christ had to wait 30 years before he could start His divine (public) mission. It is time now to feed others hard foodstuff in Jesus name. You are right when you say "No one can snatch me now from the Lord's hand". Only take care...for we have a formidable adversary. It is little wonder Christ warns us through the appostle Paul to beware that while thinking we stand, we watch out lest we fall!

Luckily, all is not lost and thank God there is one sure way to success: through prayer and fasting! If the son of God fasted forty straight days and was always praying, aren't we to do pretty more. When we are weak...He is strong!! May the God of peace bless you as you continue fighting the good fight. We are an unstoppable army worldwide.SUCCESS!

Yes, God has blessed me with nine children and outside of salvation, I consider them my greatest blessings. It requires constant vigilance and prayer to mother/homeschool them but I imagine that would be so with even just one. God is so good. What kind of cooking do you enjoy? I enjoy making desserts (even though I am really not a sweets person, funny) and southern specialities as well as Mexican foods. Those are my favorities, however, there is so much more that I enjoy cooking. I don't have too much time to do so right now. I am trying to dejunk our house (it's a constant battle with so many in a 1,400 squre foot house.) We are hoping to move this summer to a larger house. This one was always meant to be temporary. It was all that we could find when my husband took his present job. It's a small town that we live in and only small houses seem to be available so we are looking outside of this town. We'll see. Also, with homeschooling, mommy time, cleaning, shopping, etc., etc., plus writing a book, well, there is so little time. Plus this is such a tiny kitchen that it is hard to manuever in it and there is no storage. But, that won't last for long. How close are you to New Orleans or Shreveport? God bless you, Anna

Hi Judy ,Thanks for the comment. It is hard finding Christian friends on the internet. I am getting ready for my weekend work as a shift manager at a rather large homeless shelter in Lakeland, Fl. It is a great place to serve the Lord and to help others less fortunate than I.
    In Christ Robert

Hi, again, I am sorry for it taking so long to get back to you. Being mother of 9, homeschooling, and writing, my head is rarely screwed on straight! I love my life but I get so busy! You asked if I were familiar with Lousiana? Somewhat, but not a lot. My brother-in-law used to live there and we visited him, plus we've studied it in our homeschool somewhat, so....How are you? Have a blessed day, it's for HIM I live, Anna
  • Monica

    Hey Judy!

I grew up south of Houston in a town called Nassau Bay (across from the Johnson Space Center). Went to school with the sons and daughters of the astronauts and my Dad worked at NASA. We were less than 20 miles from Pasadena and Gilleys (rode the mechanical bull a few times growing up). That was all before it was cool and way before "Urban Cowboy" flick in 1980 with John Travolta. I can speak with a drawl when required. Good chatting with yall!

    Blessings, -Stew
