Well I want to encourage you today by telling you to always see your brothers and sister not in the process, where they are at right now, but see them in their potential, this is the way God views us.
He sees us pure and perfect in Jesus Christ.

If we will try to view each other like this, it will change our attitude toward them in a more positive way. It will also encourage others to grow in the lord.
You know we all need to be encouraged every day to become more like Jesus and not have others critical of us. We are critical of ourselves already and we got the devil always condemning us.

When we see something wrong in a brother or sister, help them to get over it so they can go on to become what God desires them to be. This will be very important when you get married, You need to become your wife's cheer leader.

Hi Adriaan, well yesterday we went out to lunch with my middle son Brennan who is moving to Colorado which is like a 4 day drive from Vermont. It is so hard to think of him so far away. I wonder if God feels like that when we are not living close to Him. I hope that if He gets married someday and has kids that He is near by or I will have to move.
I know it must be hard to be going through this situation with your dad. I am lifting your dad up before the Lord. Sunday in church we sang the Healer song, I listen to it every day almost. I spoke a testimony that I will be singing Jesus you are my healer on my death bed, like the story of the 3 Hebrew children who wouldn't bow, neither will I. I will always declare I know my God can deliver me, but even if he doesn't I will not bow to unbelief.
God is faithful and will never leave or forsake you Adriaan.

A married lady was expecting a birthday gift from her husband.
For many months she had admired a beautiful diamond ring in a showroom,
and knowing her husband could afford it, she told him that was all she
wanted.
As her birthday approached, this lady awaited signs that her husband
had purchased the diamond ring.
Finally, on the morning of her birthday, her husband called her into his study.
Her husband told her how proud he was to have such a good wife, and told her how much he loved her.
He handed her a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, the wife opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible,
with the wife's name embossed in gold.
Angrily, she raised her voice to her husband and said, 'With all your
money you give me a Bible?' And stormed out of the house, leaving her
husband.
Many years passed and the lady was very successful in business. She
managed to settle for a more beautiful house and a wonderful family,
but realized her ex-husband was very old, and thought perhaps she
should go to visit him. She had not seen him for many years.
But before she could make arrangements, she received a telegram
telling her that her ex-husband had passed away, and willed
all of his possessions to her. She needed to come back immediately
and take care of things.
When she arrived at her ex-husband's house, sudden sadness and
regret filled her heart. She began to search through her ex-husband's
important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as she had left it
years before.
With tears, she opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. Her
ex-husband had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11,
'And if you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more shall your Heavenly Father, who is in heaven,
give what is good to those who ask Him?'
As she read those words, a tiny package dropped from the back of
the Bible. It had a diamond ring, with her name engraved on it --
the same diamond ring which she saw at the showroom.
On the tag was the date of her birth, and the words.'LUV U ALWAYS'.
How many times do we miss God's blessings, because they are not
packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this.
Do not spoil what you have, by desiring what you have not; but remember
that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.

Good to hear from you Adraan, It seems it is pretty hectic around here also theses days. My 20 year old son said his good byes to us Sunday and took off to live in Colorado which is over 1900 miles away. It took him 3 days to drive out. I still am in shock that he has taken such a big step. I hope that He finds a relationship with the Lord out there. Brennan has not been with the Lord for 4 years. My 24 year
old son Benjamin is not a Christian and is 24. My daughter Bethany is a Christian , but has not been going to church. She is 17. I think that if I had it to do all over again I would not have ever sent my kids to public school. I would home school them. It is hard to live for the Lord when everybody around you apposes the Lord when you are a kid.
I know in my heart all my kids will one day surrender their lives to the Lord. I have even created a personal blog for them that i keep adding to in the event that I go to be with the Lord before they come to the Lord.

The big thing God has been teaching me about is dissapointment , check out my forum dealing with dissapointment. We have to learn to deal well with this issue if we are going to become revivalist in our generation.
I have seen people stopped in their tracks because of dissapointment.
Proverbs 13:12 says Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

Romans 5:5 says and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Some how we are kept in the Holy Spirit Through the love of God from the affects of dissapointments.

You my friend will face dissapointments in your life, but with God's help you will use them as stepping stones.

My Church worship team played at our anual Fair(carnavel)
we have each year. They were fantastic. There were like 12 different churches that came together. It is a very dark place and to hear the worship going up to the Lord was wonderful. I pray that many find Jesus because of it .

I have been thinking about you and am glad to hear from you. Well my son sent me an e-mail and said he was home sick, but he will be ok. He went hiking and sent me an awesome picture of himself upon one of these really high mountains. We are heading into fall and winter here and it is starting to get cooler. Winters are long and cold in Vermont. I live 15 minutes from Killington which is one of the biggest sky places in the north east, but Collorado mountains make ours look like hills. Were in full follage right now and the mountains are beautiful.

I thank God for you brother and for your heart for the Lord. I am still praying for your dad and for your family. God is with us even in our struggles and will give us all the grace we need to live our lives for Him.

His kindness and love to us frees us from the power of sin and death. May we remember to praise him for his goodness alway.
