Hi Greg....I just wanted to give you an update on 'The Shack'....Please read with discernment as I am now seeing it's 'NEW AGE' connotations.

If you do read it and join the group, I would love to hear your input and what you think about it.

TODAY I WAS FUSSING ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE FINANCES. HOW TO STAY IN THE HOME I GREW UP IN AFTER MY MOM'S DEATH. THEN I CAME HERE. HERE I SEE WORLDS THAT ARE STARVING AND HAVE NO HOMES. I AM HUMBLED AND BLESSED WITH YOU ALL. SOMEHOW WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. OUR $5 SPENT DOWN AT MCDONALDS COULD FEED HUNGRY CHILDREN. LORD, GUIDE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US.

Hey Greg, glad to hear from you. Things are looking up some here. My husband and I have found a wonderful counselor and are beginning to work some things out. I am between jobs right now but had an interview today that looks promising. I appreciate you checking in on me as it has been a rough couple weeks. I am seeing Gods presence during these trials though and believe he is guiding us and helping us grow.

    HEALTH CARE FOR THE HEART...

'Keep your heart with all diligence,
for out of it spring the issues of life..'
    Proverbs 4:23

Today's Scripture reading emphasizes the importance of caring for our heart.

    Are we keeping spiritually fit?
WEIGHT: Do we need to lose the weight of unnecessary burdens and cares?
PULSE: Are we maintaining a steady rhythm of gratitude and praise?
BLOOD PRESSURE: Is our trust greater than our anxiety?
DIET: Are we enjoying the life-giving nutrients of the Word of God?
Have you checked your heart lately?

To keep spiritually fit,Consult with the Great Physician...

O Lord, You see what's in the heart...
    There's nothing hid from You;
So help us live the kind of life..
that's filled with love for You...Amen...
  • Fig

    Hi Greg!
Yea, I've been a bit busy lately. I'm sorry I haven't checked in. I'm a deacon on my church's consistory & there have been a lot of meetings and events lately. I'm a baker, so I bake for and run most of the "sweet" events, fundraisers and fairs. It's a little tough with 2 kids- but you know God- He gives me the grace and strength I need to do all the things He's called me for! Anyway, I hope all is well & God is blessing you abundantly!

Hi There...REad over most of the review... Was concerned what the reviewer said about forgiveness...Many of the comments expressed were the same. This comment was from one of the people, and I agree ...

Tim really enjoyed the review. I read the book last week and came away with many of the same thoughts. The only point I would challenge you on is that forgiveness requires repentance. I think Christians are called to absolute forgiveness, there is no room for bitterness in our hearts, that is why forgiveness is as much about the one forgiving as the one who receives it.

It is also us saying that justice is in the hands of God and we need to move on. Forgiveness does not mean we forget and let a person wrong us again, but it does mean we extend grace and give forgiveness. You can see this most clearly in Jesus crying out on the Cross for God to forgive those who were murdering him. Even though these people were in no way seeking repentance in anyway.

Otherwise, The review is well written and seems to be accurate and fair, but will look at it more closely later. :)

    Thanks Greg, Carla

Thanks for your prayers, we live and learn. I only know that if this had happened a year or two ago I would have handled it all very differently. The very first thing i did when this situation concerned me was turn to my Heavenly Father,He was already waiting for me.....im not mad at the situation or angry at anyone....i call these time my 'thorny' times and i thank God for all of my thorns and i mean all of them, coz without them i wouldnt be who i am today. Praise God.
blessings to you and the family

Good evening, I am interested in becoming a pastor. I want to volunteer at a hospital or maybe hospice to gain some experience but I just don't know where to start. Could you give me some advice? I love the Lord and have felt his calling for sometime I just don't know where to start. I am taking a course on line and will end up with a bachelor in Ministry which will allow me to work at hospice or a charter school. If you have any infor please let me know. Blessings

HI greg this is juliana from malaysia.Am awfully sorry for the non participation in the blogs thus far .Have been having a real rough time in the home front.Myhusband is an unbeliever, catholic actually who has strayed far away from God and I had to go through many spiritual battles for the past 2 years includng dealing with a woman using the occult whom my husband was involved with but the Lord carried me and my son through the worst storms i can possibly tell you in words.God is AMAZING and He's the same yesterday today and forever.I know that if He's brought me and luke my son this far He'll surely see my husband Aaron thorugh as well. He's battling for his soul now and it's really hard as the person is so messed up and yet something inside him wants to love. Please please keep us in prayer...he surely needs the Lord for deliverance and salvation and I know with GOd ALL things are possible!!Right now I know what it is to be HELD!!!!
    Thank you and GOd BLEss!!

    Hi Greg,

I like your new "local to Colorado" look. It reminds me of the good times that this boy in Texas had every year as we took a trip to Colorado to visit family and go camping. I just returned from a family camping vacation in mountains near Kit Carson, CA. What a joy to go to sleep under the stars created by God and not be able to count them. Blessings to you Brother in the name of our savior Jesus.

I always want to watch re-runs of Gunsmoke every time I come to your page. lol
today my 20 year old son left to move to Bolder Colorado. I hope I do not miss him so much that i will have to leave my beloved Vermont, but then I have 2 more kids here. 17, 24. He wants to live out there for a while then check out other places around the country while he is young. He flew out there a couple months ago and already has an apartment. He isn't walking with the Lord and lives with a girl. I hope that in his wanderings He will return to his faith as a child. God isn't done with him yet. So when you see me around the net remember my son Brennan.
    In the love of Jesus.

#5, 00 and1"What am I interested in now" (or maybe its 5,00and2...hope I'm at least in the ball park).

So any who, hello my name is Rew; and I would like to know "What are you currently interested in now"??? "Enquire-ing minds want to know" (hee, hee, snort).

Colorado, I been to the Airport there, it was very nice for the 2 hour lay over we had, and very big. We got to see (what we believed to be) the Rocky Mountains range in the distance, I was truly impressed.

Honestly, you have got to have one of the coolest jobs on this (hopefully soon to be) green planet. I actually (because of you and the staff you work with) got to briefly speak with someone in Asia…Freaking A-S-I-A man!!! What a rush it was too, I was moved to worshipful tears.

I pray that this sight and others like them will be even more prominent in the last days; O’ wait… we possibly are all ready in them. May Adonai, super bless you as you toil to do what is good and pure in HIS sight.

    Well Greg,

What I find myself “into these days” is preparing for a cross country move to Washington State; like you our current political issues (a sign that possibly I am growing old or I really do care about what’s going on in our current time); and finding my daughter a husband (SSHHHHish it’s a surprise—wink, wink).

In light of our current stock market doing a “huge barrel roll”, I was speaking with my husband as to whether or not we may be “jumping the gun”(for lack of a better term) in our decision to move ;but, last night at prayer my Rabbi gave a word that confirmed that we are to go. He (by the leading of the Holy Spirit) spoke of the ten spies that went into the Promised Land with Caleb and Joshua (interestingly enough the name of our parakeet birds), and how they missed GOD’s best due to their fear. My husband and I had already decided to go “come hell or high water”; however it was encouraging to receive a conformation to the Abba’s will.

    We have our services for the High Holidays (Holy days) coming up and I had sent out a e-mail for prayer for our Rabbi Ron Corbet, and his wife Marcia as they are preparing to minister to the United States largest population of Orthodox Jews who do not know Yeshua (Jesus) as savior. If you would join us in prayer for the lost children of Israel, I would be so grateful;

“So tell me Monty what Greg will receive for his diligent prayers”. “Well, Greg already has his guaranteed eternal trip to heaven; but in addition we will award him with Matthew 5:9; yes that’s right Hal, Matthew 5:9 (crowd…O-O-O). Well, Monty it appears to me that Greg is one big winner on our game show of “Eternal Love”.

    Con-gratulationssss Greg!!

    The storms of our life
Prove the strength of our anchor…..

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine
and puts them into practice is like a wise man
who built his house on the rock.- Matt.7:24

Living for the Lord, serving Him each day,
    Best prepares the soul for the stormy way;
Then as trials come, tempting to despair,
We can rest secure, safe within His care.

God bless u my dear friend....

    Greg,

Below is what I worked up. Let me know what you think and if you have any tweaks you would like made to it.

    Lord Bless,
    LT

Welcome to AAG. We want your experience here to be positive and uplifting. There are a couple of things that can help you maximize your experience.

    Forums and Blogs:
Forums are for asking questions and for sharing a response to a question someone has posted. This is a great opportunity for “iron to sharpen iron.” Blogs are for posting an opinion, view or specific message regarding a subject.

Making New Friends: You will make many new friends here on AAG. Some will send a friend invite to you. You have the choice to accept or decline. When an invite has been sent the “little man” icon at the top left of your page will be followed by the word “new.” Simply click on the icon and make your choice. To invite someone to be your friend you simply need to go to their home page and click on “add as friend” under their personal photo. Once someone is your friend you will be able to email each of your friends on AAG. You can also leave a message on someone personal page, but note that everyone will be able to read what you leave there.

IMs: You can IM anyone who is on line by clicking on their picture located at the upper right part of the page.

Chat Room: There is a chat room located near the top of the AAG main page. It is a great place to get to know people better.

Videos: You can also upload Christian videos on the AAG main page or watch them. They are located down the left side of the main page.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. We are here to serve you to the best of our abilities.

We are glad you are here,

Hebrews 3:6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

Hebrews 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 6:11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end.

Father God we come before you and thank you for the wonderful salvation that is ours through Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit help us to hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end. Help us to us hold fast our confession and draw near with confidence to the throne of grace to find mercy and help in our time of need and may we realize the full assurance of hope we have until the end.
In the name of Jesus we pray.

    In the love of Jesus
