Love reading, I can talk a lot, love meeting new people.

The word of God, passionate about spreading the word of God.
My story with God
I grew up in home where only my mom served God. We were blessed with a wonderful mom. My mom died when I was 15 and my dad died when I was 25. I then lived with my eldest sister until I got married.
I have a wonderful husband, believe you me, If I say wonderful, then I mean it. God gave me this wonderful husband, he is my husband, he is like my mother, my father, my everything. September this year we'll be married for 14 years, 14 wonderful years. I grew up in a Lutheran Church and was once invited to the Baptist Church, 6 years back, I gave my heart to the Lord and I was baptized in the Baptised church. Still a baptist today. God took my parents away and made me a strong person.
Other stuff about me:
I am a mom of 3 kids, 2 daughters ages 13 and 8. I was sterlized after my youngest daughter. But.. let me tell you this. Our lives are in God's hands, and sometimes we do things without consulting God. And this happened to me. I was sterlized but never discussed it with God. And guess what happened, I fell pregnant, this is how God works, He works in mysterious ways. And guess what more???? I was blessed with a healthy boy, now I have 2 girls and 1 boy. My son is now 2 years. Shows you, God is in contol of our lives.

Greetings in jesus name my dear sister

A married lady was expecting a birthday gift from her husband.
For many months she had admired a beautiful diamond ring in a showroom,
and knowing her husband could afford it, she told him that was all she
    wanted.
As her birthday approached, this lady awaited signs that her husband
    had purchased the diamond ring.
Finally, on the morning of her birthday, her husband called her into his study.
Her husband told her how proud he was to have such a good wife, and told her how much he loved her.
He handed her a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, the wife opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible,
with the wife's name embossed in gold.
Angrily, she raised her voice to her husband and said, 'With all your
money you give me a Bible?' And stormed out of the house, leaving her
    husband.
Many years passed and the lady was very successful in business. She
managed to settle for a more beautiful house and a wonderful family,
but realized her ex-husband was very old, and thought perhaps she
should go to visit him. She had not seen him for many years.
But before she could make arrangements, she received a telegram
telling her that her ex-husband had passed away, and willed
all of his possessions to her. She needed to come back immediately
    and take care of things.
When she arrived at her ex-husband's house, sudden sadness and
regret filled her heart. She began to search through her ex-husband's
important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as she had left it
    years before.
With tears, she opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. Her
ex-husband had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11,
'And if you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more shall your Heavenly Father, who is in heaven,
give what is good to those who ask Him?'
As she read those words, a tiny package dropped from the back of
the Bible. It had a diamond ring, with her name engraved on it --
the same diamond ring which she saw at the showroom.
On the tag was the date of her birth, and the words.'LUV U ALWAYS'.
How many times do we miss God's blessings, because they are not
packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this.
Do not spoil what you have, by desiring what you have not; but remember
that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.
IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKAGED THE WAY YOU WANT IT,
IT'S BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKAGED THE WAY IT IS.
    ALWAYS APPRECIATE LITTLE THINGS;
THEY USUALLY LEAD YOU TO BIGGER & BETTER THINGS.

'The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched.
They must be felt with the heart.'

    HAVE A GREAT DAY

WHY WE NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT
Jesus promised the disciples that they will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. So it came to Passed that the Holy Spirit came upon them as He promised in the book of acts 2:4. it is also written in the book of Acts 2:38 to 39( quoting verse 39, the promise is for you ,your children and for all who are far off______ for all whom the Lord God will call).Meaning that every Christian need the Holy Spirit for specific task. The bible says we should not be drunkard but we must be filled with the holy Spirit. You can read that in the book of Ephesians 5:18.Why we must not be drunkard? The answer is simple, the Holy Spirit is more powerful than alcoholic drink. He can do more for us than alcoholic spirit Let us look at the things the Holy Spirit can do for us.

The Holy Ghost always makes us to be committed. When truly the Holy Ghost is in you, you will devote everything about you to the Lord Jesus. You will give your whole life to Christ. That is why the bible says that the life that we Christians lived, it is no more we that lived but Jesus lived in us. Christians do not need alcoholic drink just as the people of the world need it to be committed to what ever they do. I dont know whether you have seen a drunkard before but let me tell you, they are committed to alcoholic drinks. If they wake up in the morning, the first thing they think of is where they can get some drink to take. They put all their hope on drinking alcohol. So you see, a good Christian have to put his or she hope in Christ Jesus every time. Remember that what is in you is greater than alcohol. If you have been to Africa, you would have known the real drunkard. They are very committed. We have to do more than these worldly people. We must be committed to our Lord Jesus Christ.

When one is full of the Holy Spirit, HE NEVER GETS WORRY ABOUT THINGS OF THIS WORLD. Just ask the bible says in the book of Matthew 6:25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is life not more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Learn how to be happy with what you have, God knows what is good for you and at the right time he will provide. The Holy Spirit that is in you will help you not to border about things that perish. Let me briefly tell you something about my life since my infancy. I was a child when my father divorce my mother because of the faith, but my mother never gives up. We passed through a lot of problems but my mother hold firm to the faith. Sometimes what to eat was a problem for us. As the day went on, things started to change through the Holy Spirit. When I grown up, I still face difficulty, just us my mother taught me, I never get worry. I know it shall be well with me one day. I always comfort myself that after all I have something special within me that can change my situation.

So to be frank, worldly people like drunkard never get worry. All that they think about is their drink and how they can get access to one before they go to sleep. They dont border about the clothes that they put on. In Africa, drunkards can wear the same cloth for more than one month and they never get worry. Some so called Christian sometimes, say today I dont have new panties so I can not go to church. When the Holy Spirit is in you, you will never bother. What ever you have, you will only press it well and wear it to church. Truly our God is pure and it is not good to wear filthy clothes to church. All the time, be happy about what you have.

The Holy Spirit brings unity among brethren. We are one body and we have one spirit that controls us. This brings about the love that the Lord expects from us for each other. Allowing ourselves to be fill with the Holy Spirit, brings unity and love ( real love and unity).on the other side, drunkards are the most united people of the world. When one drunkard get drinks, he or she invite the rest of them to partake, even though they fight and quarrel, they do things together. How much more we that have the Holy Spirit, we do more than them because we have the true spirit. When the Holy Ghost came upon the first Disciples of Christ, they do almost everything together.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be GENEROUS (someone that gives freely). If we read our bible well, peter was disgrace at the gate of beautiful when the crippled beggar as him for money (even though, the name of Jesus was glorified through the Holy Spirit). Although the crippled was healed, there was nothing in Peters pocket. So when he came to the congregation, the Holy Ghost changed the situation so that no needy person was found among them again. When He is upon you, you can easily give. People find it difficult to give or help the needy ones because the Holy Spirit is not in them. If you come to Africa or go to other continents, you will know how people need help (I mean suffering, we that go to the villages we see things for ourselves).

DRUNKARDS always give. They can give more than necessary and why cant we that are filled with the Holy Spirit not give. Let HIM control youre given.

When the Holy Spirit is upon you, you will be BOLD just as HE came upon peter and Peter became boldly. You can read that in the book of Acts 2:38, drunkards are always bold. Let me assure that most people drink because they want to be bold but we Christian dont need physical drink to be bold, the Holy Spirit is more than alcoholic drink. HE makes us bold in every area.

You will always have a SOUND MIND when HE is upon you. Dont have negative taught about people. The Holy Spirit let us into all truth. It makes us free within our bodies. In Africa here, drunkards are free they only concentrate on their drinks. We Christians have to talk about Jesus every day, because that is the greatest commission the LORD has instructed us.

When the Holy Spirit is upon someone, he or she can takes hot staff (face difficult problems).Never run from battle field because what is in him or her is greater than what is in the world. He or She shall surely over come. Things that are impossible for people will be possible for you. As for Drunkards, people that they can not beat them they claim that they will beat them, How much more we that have the power above all powers. Remember David and Goliath.

The Holy Spirit helps us to be LOYALTY, to become someone who always gives support or defend the faith. Drunkard are always support those that provide them with drinks. We Christian have to support our faith where ever we are and preach the word of God.

The holy spirit help us to walk with faith and we dont fear danger, all that we know is that it came by itself and it shall go but itself. Forward ever, backwards never. Drunkards also walk by faith, whether there is whole or not they find their way home. What about us? We do more than them.

The Holy Spirit will help you NEVER TO GIVE UP. In all situations you will stand firm. DRUNKARDS are troublesome and they never give up. We are always in the high spirit to face every problem that comes Christians are not trouble some.

To be simple and precise, without the holy ghost one can not enter into the kingdom God: so we need HIM to be; COMMITED, NEVER WORRY ABOUT THINGS OF THIS WORLD, TO GIVE GENEROULY,TO BE BOLD,TO HAVE SOUND MIND, TO FACE EVERY DIFFICULTY THAT COMES OUR WAYS,TO BE LOYALTY TO OUR LORD,TO WALK BY FAITH AND SO THAT WE CAN NEVER GIVE UP.

    O"la Chica,
That's spanish for "hello little girl" ( I think). Well any who, "how you be suga bee". I hear Cape Town is amazing country. My daughter was there last year, and we are planning our next big family vacation there, if the poltical concerns that we are hearing about settle down.
You have some beautiful babies--they all favor their Mama. Fourteen years of marriage? How blessed are you. I am entering my second year of marriage, and I too found a wondeful man.
This is my second marriage and in my country it is often said that once you reach forty it is difficult to find a man to marry.
Do I need to say it...OK, I will..."But GOD"!!!! With him all things are possible, and HE made my Jim's love for me possible.
Right now where I am it is 9:43 am, and the day must be coming to its close where you are..."Was this a blessed day for you? I hope so". I pray that the Lord will keep you and yours from all harm and you will rest truely well.

You have a BEAUTIFUL family! What a blessing for you not to be able to have children and the Lord, makes a way!

A move!! How wonderful; yet, at the same time, exhausting. We also will be moving in a few weeks; across the country about 3,000 miles. I am not sure how to translate into Kilometers (or would I, hum). Any who, I just know that the thought of it has me tired. In fact my husband was saying how he hopes we will get to take a small vacation, after we get to our new home.
So, please pray for us, and I am already praying for you. “May GOD keep your peace through out the day; may each piece of your furniture, and boxes, along with other precious items be handled with respect to you, and for you. May the children find new well mannered friends to build life long relationships; and may those children and their families if they do not know Yeshua as their savior, find grace and HIS salvation; because of your family’s continual examples of a GODLY family. May the LORD open up financial prosperity, as you are obedient to the gifts of finances HE gives you. May you and your husband, and your children and their future spouses remember the Tithe, and to be good stewards with the blessings of talents he gives (MT 25:14- 40).

God bless you my sister (and daughter!),

I know it has been long since I exchanged any comments with you. Time slips between our fingers sometimes...but we always pray and hold our friends in the heart...where it matters most!

God bless you and your entire house. I am out of work for sometime...but I believe God wants me to do his works more.

Thank you for standing by me. Love to the little ones and hope Keshia is doing fine in her studies.

    Hi Sylvia,
I like your poem to Jesus! Funny, it seems the Lord gives me poems when I've been moving or in some kind of upheval of life. Is that when the inspiration came to you? Be blessed my sister, you & your beautiful little family!
  • brateng

    Sylvia,

I have been studying your new photos...wonderful, loving family!

I always feel good wherever I see a family where there is love and warmth. The world is increasingly teaching people to shun the family unit...teachings of the devil!

Be proud of those that the Lord linked you with...be careful about how you handle both your husband and children for one day, we shall all give an account to Him that blessed our lives with them.

    Happy day-Pst. Bernhard C
