Hi, I kinda guessed ou guys knew each other by the banter between you. Just for the record, today we had sun :) We made the most of it, I took the wee one to the funfair, it was brilliant, having kids means you never really have to grow up :) I got my college date through for my nursing, it begins on the 21st, I cant believe it, its been about 17 years since iI left school !!!

Nice to hear from you. Yes, I have a lovely family. You want to know more about me? Sure, there is a lot. Right now we are facing financial problems, heavy ones, but... it also make me strong, I am constantly on my knees. The previous company I worked for didn't pay us for 2 months and this made me broke. I am grateful to God for what I have, my lawful wedded husband, my 2 beautiful kids. My 2 daughters, 13 and 8 were planned children, my son came after I was sterlized, a special gift from God. I am just praying to God for help with our finances. My son is still on nappies, and I have to get money to get him some nappies. Times are tough, sometimes we have nothing to eat and just wait on the Lord. And... He is good, He is the Alpha and Omega, never slumber nor sleeps, always at work for us.
We had a wonderful church weekend, 10 Baptist Churches spend the day together yesterday, praising and worshipping God. Oh, that was great.
Otherwise, I am healthy, will be celebrating my 43 birthday this coming Friday, God's willing, and next month on the 3rd I'll be celebrating my 14th year of marriage, with a wonderful husband.
This is a mouthful hey?

Please don't shave your own cat! They are too easy to injure, plus their bites contain a very dangerous bacteria that you need to go to the doctor right away for. Leave it to the pros! I had a dog about a week ago that the owner gave motion sickness med. to and we had to check with a vet because we aren't allowed to do sedated animals and the vet said the effect would be like benedryl, not really sedate, just make a little sleepy. Vets can sedate and have a groomer on-site. Grooming a truly sedated cat is a beautiful thing, so I've heard!:) God Bless, Kathy

I CONTRACTED SEPTISEAMIA AND MY GYNAE SAID I WOULD PROBABLY NEVER EVER FALL PREGNANT AGAIN AND SUGGESTED A HISTORECTOMY. I REFUSED BECAUSE I HAD BEEN PRAYING LIKE HANNA FOR A BABY AND JUST BELIEVED THAT I WOULD HAVE ANOTHER CHILD. WHEN BENJAMIN WAS 15 YEARS OF AGE MARI WAS BORN MIRACULOUSLY - ALTHOUGH I NEARLY LOST HER... I WAS IN HOSPITAL MORE THAN AT HOME DURING THE WHOLE PREGNANCY AND HAD TO HAVE STITCHES (USUALLY ONE SHERODKA STITCH) BUT MY GYNAE INSISTED ON A SERIES OF STITCHES! JUST TO MAKE SURE!

Hi mom, Im thinking I should maybe bottle some of the rain we are having and send it right on over. I am so glad I believe Gods promise of no more floods, coz if He hadn't promised i'd be getting real worried by now :)
I start classes tomorrow, I tell you , I wil not sleep tonight :) I am seriously thinking about some kind of work within the ministry, our area has a shortage of people entering into pastoral work, I feel more called to this than what I am now entering into, but I trust The Lord and know nothing in His economy is wasted, I know He will lead me.

So if I neither tied her up and she is not blind then it must be my charming personality, my thoughfullness by helping her into a chair and opening the car door for her. Buying presents and flowers. All those things that I did for her when we were courting, persuaded her.
Little did she know that they were simply election promises. Once I was elected, then like a good politician, I let all my actions, and my winning ways fall away.
When she complains that she has nothing left to live for, I remind her that she still owes money on the fridge, on the TV and and on the car I made her buy me.

IF you believe all of the above, then you will believe anything. No she is My Bride and always will be just like the wonderful day when we got married 43 years ago.

Deborah Sue, thank you for your comment. I am not sure how to navigate around on this website yet. I watched Charles Stanley last night and will again this am to make sure I didn't miss anything. I also like to listen to Joyce Meyer during the week. Are you familiar with her? I watch worship services on TV as it is hard for me to attend regular church services. I was confined to a wheelchair for 6mos and now get around using a rollator. But it is too heavy & bulky for me to get it in the car by muself. I do believe that God had a misssion in my life to have kept me immobile for so long; it definitely made me more humble and appreciative of people that helped in many ways.

Although I was saved as a child, I feel it is all brand new to me now. I want to learn and soak in as much about the Bible as I can. I now feel like a whole new world has opened up for me. I read my Bible and other religious material daily but would like the fellowship of others to help me through the rough spots that I don't quite understand. I am really looking forward to this Bible study group (that is once I can figure out about the forums and such. I,too, love the Word of God and want to learn how to share it.

WHAT CAN GOD GIVES US WHEN WE ASK HIM

Must people do not know what they have to do for the Lord Jesus to come into their life? Jesus does not force people to follow him .He allow us to make our choice. Just as the first, Adam was given free chance to choose what is good for him. In the book of Roman 12:1 to 2, it says “Therefore , I urge you , brothers , in views of God’s mercy , to offer your body as living sacrifices ,holy and pleasing to God­­­­­___ this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world ,but be transformed by renewing your mind .Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is ___his good , pleasing and perfect will”. We must sacrifice ourselves to worship Him in holiness, making a firm decision to hold to the teaching of the Lord .After you have surrender your life to Christ, what can He gives you . I know there are so many things the lord can gives you but let us look at the things the lord can gives us first (I called them keys).

The first thing that the lord can give us is FAITH. Faith is not something that we possess by ourselves but is given by God. Ephesians 2;8 says “For it is by grace that you been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”. So the first thing the lord can gives us is faith .Faith is the substantiating of invisible things .it by faith that we substantiate all the things Christ has accomplished for us. Through such substantiating ability, we have been saved by Grace. I the book of John 6:44 says “No one can come to me unless the father who sent me draws him and I will raise him up at the last day” .Meaning that without God given us the strong faith, we can not come to him. Many people in the world today lack faith and they find it difficult to come to the Lord Jesus. Remember that without faith one can not please the Lord.

The second thing the lord can gives us is the ANOINTING. Going back to the old testament , the book of Joel 2:28 says” and after wards I will pour out my spirit on all people .Your sons and daughters will prophesy ,Your old men will dream dreams ,young men will see visions. Even on my servants both men and women. When you received the gift of faith, the Lord Jesus has to come into his temple which is your body. So that the life that you will be living, is not you that lived but Christ lived in you to perform all duties in a due time .That is why HE ask the first disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit to come upon them before they make a movement .You have to be anointed with the power of the Holy Ghost so that you can be bold in everything that you do in the Lord. For instead, I am typical African and I have never traveled out side the continent Africa before and I know more about Africans. In Africa, if the Holy Spirit is not in you, you will die in your youth. There are supper natural powers in Africa but my bible tells me that everywhere the name JESUS is mention, every knee have to bow and every tongues confess that JESUS is lord. IF you don’t have JESUS in you, they will over come you. They will torture you till death. The Lord promised to give or anoint us with the Holy Spirit. Just ask him and He will provide.

The next thing that you need is the Wisdom, Knowledge and understanding, When we read the book of 1corinthian 12:8 “To one there is given through the spirit the message of wisdom” so looking at this verse, the first gift of the spirit is wisdom ,because wisdom play greater part in everything that we do. Remember that God created the heaven and earth and all that dwell in heaven and on earth by wisdom. We need wisdom in everything that we do. Apostle Paul used great wisdom where ever he went.

In your business, you need wisdom to control the business. In your marriage you need wisdom to help you. What you can do so that your spouse will loves you. How you can control your children and educate them in the Lord Jesus and the society that you lived in.

Wisdom is not something that you acquired yourself, but it is given by God. Let us look at Proverbs 2:6 says”For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Ask God for wisdom and He is faithful to give you, to rule your family, business, especially in evangelism, I mean everything about you. Let wisdom be part and parcel of your life.

The next thing that we need is Relationship. The first relation of every person is the Nuclear family that is parents and children. .The first family the Lord created is Adam and Eve and they begot their children. So relationship is given by God .If parents are not Christians, it will be difficult for someone to become Christian of such family or if they did not educate him or her by sending you to school so that you too become some body in the future. Or else you may face a lot of problems about life .For instead; I did not have proper education. I did not go to university. This is due to my parents not raising me to the level to get good job but luckily, my mother was good Christian and today, i am proud to have her as my mother, the Lord used her to bring me up in Christianity. We need good relationship in other to know the Lord. Jesus had a good family and Joseph and Mary raised him up in God.

I hope we all know the type of relationship like extended family and friends. Just as I said before, we need the Lord to provide us with this people. If you read the whole story of Joseph in the Old Testament His first relatives did not help him. They sold him out till the Lord provides him with the good one. That is when he came in contact with Pharaoh. In this world, one need the Lord to send him His angels along the “road” .Life is about relationship.

The last thing that the Lord can give us is Favor. If the Lord has given you the above but He has not given you favoured you can do certain things but you may face many problems and you find it difficult to over come them. The stories of Joseph in the Old Testament and Mordecai are a typical examples.Please you can read that from the whole book of Esther and read that of Joseph from the book of Genesis chapter 37 to chapter 41. Mordehai and Joseph lack “favour” at the beginning but as they continue to pray the Lord Favour them.Mordehai was honored because He then has the “key favour’ and also the slaved boy Joseph became next to the King of Egypt.

All that I want to tell you is that if you have all this keys, you will be happy in this age and the age to come (on earth and in heaven). Please remember that only Jesus have these key to give us.God does not give money from heaven but He can give you , FAITH, ANOINTING (The Holy Ghost), WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, RELATIONSHIP and FAVOR through that you can get what you need to survive .If you have these important keys,your life will never be the same. Just as Apostle Peter had all the keys, after Jesus went to heaven, everything about him changed. Please do not forget, ask and it shall be given to you. From now onwards, don’t ask the Lord to give you money but check whether you have the above keys in your life .If you have all of them as gift from God, your worship, business, your family, I mean everything about you will change just as it happen to Joseph. I have a couple of prayer requests please, one is for Maureen Duff-Longway she is the mother of a 2yr. old and a 6mnth old and was diagnosed with breast cancer, please pray for a full recovery and also for my friend Esther who is going to court tomorrow to try and get full custody of her girls for they are not properly cared for when in the supervision of the father. it has been a nightmare divorce with the children so please pray that the court grants Esther favor tomorrow and that the truth would be SEEN clearly. Hi, i have updated my profile with a little bit more about me, of course i havent gone into all of it. Alot is about other people but i was dragged in. alcoholism, domestic violence, drugs. Too much to simply write.
My mum was an alcoholic, like yours, and relied on me dearly. Because of God, the reliance and expectance as been taken off my shoulders. I always thank him for the changes in me. And also picking me up were i was at and completely shifting me from the path that i could've easily been led down and put me on His path that was made for my feet alone. Amen.

Oh, Deborah Sue, you are just too funny! No question about who owns who in your house either (you or the cats)! And, no, although I wish my picture were spiritual, it's just me giving my past kitty a kiss. It is a small picture so I don't know what the problem is. I'll try to figure it out or see if I can find a moderator to help.

You said you don't drive & don't get out much. If I'm not being nosey, is there a physical reason for this? I haven't been out in so long due to back pain issues. I see a neurosurgeon the 11th of next month to see if I need further back surgery. I hope I don't but I can't live my life like this forever either.

You really need to get "get back on the horse". You might really need your license some day if anything were to happen to your husband or children (not to mention one of our furry friends). Sounds like you could use some support and words of encouragement to get over the hump. I'm behind you all the way and will say a special prayer for you tonight.

I am 53, so there is something else we have in common. Thank God I have good health insurance - military retirement & my own supplemental. I have had several surgeries in the past. Most have been quite successful but this will make the 3rd surgery for my back. The 1st one went well, the 2nd,
I didn't do as well because of lack of rehabilitation. Now my CT/Myelogram shows a bulging disc & spinal stenosis/hypertrophy. Within the past 6mos I have been a total invalid, needing help to even go to the porta potty (very humiliating). I had seering back pain, couldn't stand up or put any weight on my rt side. After numerous studies and attempts to help me get better, and much praying, one day I woke up and did not have the usual debilitating pain. God performed a miracle on me - I was able to stand up!! The doctors and no one else believes me but I know what happened to me - God did it! I still can't do many of the things I used to but I am not in a wheelchair. I can walk short distances and feed/give treats to my Jessie again. I am waiting on God to determine if the surgeons need to operate. I think they will but God will make it successful this time. I am so full of hope I could just pop!
