My story with God
My father died when i was very young. I felt very lonely & afraid. My mother became an alcoholic. I didn't make friends easily. I met one christian girl in 6th grade. (She ended up being my friend for life!) Her parents took me to church, where I asked Jesus to come into my heart & be my Lord & Savior! He has been with me, healed me when I got kicked in the head by a horse & was in a comma for 9 days.Gave me a wonderful Christian husband. We have been married for 34 yrs. this August. We have 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren & a great church family. I'm so very blessed to be a part of the Body of Christ!
Other stuff about me:
Not much to tell. I have a heart for the poor and expect the Lord to be making us able to do something with that desire He gave me to help, very soon!

    Hi Deborah,
    Thank you for your reply.
As I read your mail, it's easy to see that you are a devoted Christian. That's great and the stronger you grow, the more strength to the cause of our Saviour.

I don't come across much of Alan's post as I do yours, So I guess that's why I have not had as much contact.

Yes, I honestly believe that things are going to get worse in S. Africa as well.
I used to be a young man in the fire Department, both as Fireman and Paramedic. Within 6 months I became an old man, experienced in the the curved balls that life throws at people. I did this for 16 years.
Right now after a chequered life, I am retired and hibernating in a small village type town, in Kwa Zulu Natal, with my Bride Gene.
Gene is a Messianic Christian in that she is Jewish and
came to recognise Jesus as Yeshua Ha'Mashiach.
Gene has a sister in Israel living on a Kibbutz with a large family created over +/- 45 years. Unfortunately they are not Believers. But they do know who to phone when there is sickness or a crisis. So at least our faith in Jesus does receive some recognition.
Give Alan our greetings and keep looking up to focus on Jesus. Your Brother and Friend in Christ - Ron

Thanks Deborah, I appreciate it, and like all we all fall short but to say it as a dailey reflection leaves God in the closet. However I can seem to fall under condemnation but I know that is not God's plan. I want you to do the same as to when you serve serve unto the Lord. For we owe not to any man.
  • Lynnie

Deborah I dont know if you would be interested but I can give you my Pastor's PAC website and you can see a little of what he is doing for our city in Iowa.

    Hi Sweet sister,
Yes, I noticed right away that your profile picture changed…looking forward to the ‘real’ you. Don’t worry, take your time, I already know your heart and sweet spirit, and that’s the best part of you. Your responses in the various discussions have touched my heart in a special way. God has blessed you with clarity and vision and love. Continue to walk in HIS grace and power.

By the way, Carla will not mind in the least, in fact, I am sure she would love to join us in this sweet fellowship. You are both a gift. May the LORD bless you, my dear.

    Hugs,
    MaryAnn

Hi Deborah, I was going to send you a note to encourage you to continue to use your gifts that you have been using to stir up discussions. There are some wonderful groups that can be life changing if we can just get people to get envolved. Thank you again for using your gifts here we are all enriched by all your Biblically inspired comments and your christ like attitude.
    In the love of Jesus.

Hi Deborah, it is awesome to chat on a Christian network across the world. Garden Route is about 3 hours drive from Cape Town. We live at the seaside. Garden Route is beautiful. I have never been to the USA.
I am married, no children yet. Last year I had stillborn baby, which was very traumatic to us. We believe that God will answer our prayers for a baby.
    Your children are beautiful.
    Keep well and keep posting.

    Dear Deborah

(this is a long e-mail so I suggest you sit with a cup of tea and a have a couple of biscuits!) I have just washed and showed after cleaning the house from top to bottom - I have even cleaned the oven and have dried two loads of washing (the ironing can wait I'm afraid)

    Thank you for your reply.

How wonderful indeed that around the world Christians are worshiping and praising our Lord, listening to his word and praying - 24 hours a day no matter where we live! These are the things that thoes who have not repented and given their lives over in faith will ever really get the same delight about. International trade and industry just doesn't give that same wonder. I don't bake now - but I love to cook, as a family we did not have much of a sweet tooth so I have lost the knack, I do produce the odd pudding for our church fellowship meals - where we invite the local community around the church to come have a free meal with us and share fellowship and listen to a visiting speaker - usually a visiting missionary or someone like John Blanchard - who is so good - you may have read some of his books? Us ladies then usually cook and prepare a good meal for around 120 followed by puddings, sweets, tea and coffee. The men do the washing up and the youth serve. We are a busy Church with, mothers and todlers Mondays, Womens fellowship Tuesdays, youth fellowships, Sunday school, Thursday morning drop in sessions, when we open the Church as a cafe' and and provide a time to discuss Christian things for anyone passing by. Thursday evening study, prayer and mission meetings, services Sunday morning and evening and prayer meetings before each service. There are regular weekly meetings for 7 - 11's, 11- 15yr olds, with over 60's and over 80's fellowship one a month. We believe in world wide mission and regularly financially support up to 40 missionary's and their familes together with prayer and anything else that they need if we can. We have 150 in membership, morning services with the children and visitors we nornally number 180ish and evenings 120ish - 75% of our fellowship are over 60 - we are so blessed - especially with what I call our prayer warior. Our church was established over 75 years ago, since 2000 we have rebuilt both the chapel and meeting halls, so we have great facilities, with a fantastic kitchen. God has seen to it that we do not have a mortgage to repay which in these days of mortgate debt generally with the credit crunch we cannot be more thankful. Many members have sacrificed gladly to provide a wonderful place of worship - you can read more about us and see a photo of my husband (Simon Harris) who is one of the Decons on www.wepreachchrist.org - you can also listen to the services. That brings me to an update news of my husbands poorly foot - he visited the Dr. this morning and it would seem he has an infection - he has had blood tests to see if that is the right diagnosis and has already felt the benefit of the antibiotics he was prescribed - an answer to all our prayers. He should we pray be well enough to preach next Sunday evening at our Church. He gets very nervous when he is preaching at our home church, more so than at the little 6+ fellowships when he does his rounds as a visiting speaker a couple of times a month to little 150yr old chapels deep in the Forest of Dean, Winstone which is in the Cotswolds, Longley and other small Baptist Churches - please pray that God will give him courage, boldness and clarity to preach the gospel in truth. We always seem to have a crisis when he is due to preach - Satan knows when and how to sling his arrows to detract our thinking away from Gods message.

Well I must - look at my work notes now and focus on more earthly things. I start the first day without any guidance at this new admin job in the bakery - the worst I can do is order 1000 instead of 100 rolls so I shouldn't get too worried - but of course I will be concerned to do well my first day. Its 10 miles down a country road, I look out onto fields, trees and a couple of horses in a field with a couple of sheep just for good measure! How lovely - there is a pond with ducks and I can have all my bread for free as long as I don't take too much! It's cash in hand so I will have some money to get my husband a birthday present for the 11th August as I have been off work for 10 months - I used to be a manager and had 42 staff - but this will do me well - isn't our God good! Just when I thought that he didn't need me anymore, I was not ready to retire just yet as I am only 53, now he has given me this website, with other Christians such as yourself to share things with, togewther with a little job and a little money to keep my car on the road.

May we continue to share together through Christ Jesus our Lord

    Wendy

I am in Ministry as a full time worker from June 1999. Now my responsibility is mentoring church planter. In India the percentage of Christian is less than 4%. so much more work and prayer is needed.
Please pray for my effectiveness in ministry..

Oh no I didnt bail out! I like this page, and the "homepage because it has so much usefull information." I would be on more however it hard to explain. This entire week was homecomming, while last night was Lincoln Brewster Live. I couldnt miss the old guitarist for Journey!
I can put post up by Matthew Ung but or my Pastor, I do not study enough right now to back up the rvelations in todays user friendly chruch, and put it a way to wear I have had sensesitive training.. I geuss you could say I am a todler in Christ.
I have been comming to this page for about a year and a half now I just have'nt responded to blogs for quite a while.
  • Lynnie

You know Deborah, the extensive amount of time we put in to seeking God the less were like the world. That is one revelation I have recieved this week. Instead of the other way around. Fitting the church to look like the world is why some refuse to repent today.. I see many people getting offended because they are temporarily removed from thier comfort zone, and they have to put God back in the box, back on the shelf. However because of my lack of intimacy with my God, mono e mono I have not experienced much peace, but have basked in His grace. My mission is to seek Him without all the distractions but I have to throw off the distraction to allow Him to find me understand?
Granted I see Him and think of Him on a dailey basis but the only way for me to stay truely in the spirit is to step out and be bold and do not be afraid.
  • Belle

well how do i post them just in a comment like this?
How cute....im a lil' southern Belle

    Hi Deb,
    Ah! Lawn Bowls.
It's a game played on a grass lawn. The lawn is almost as smooth as a Bliliard or Snooker table. Each Player has 4 Bowls to play with against opponents and the side nearest a little white ball wins the round.
The Players Bowl has an added weight on one side and can be made to curve in twards the small white Ball Called the Jack ot Kitty.
A lovely game with lots of excitement as opponents Bowls are knocked away from the Kitty, leaving your bowl closest.
It takes a lot of skill to execute this properly

I love Alan's two jokes. They are priceless.
Also your own Blog is excellent.
Have you heard the prophecy delivered by Wendy Alec of GodTV. That CA is going to experience a catostrophic
earthquake and Frisco especially experience a tremendous disaster.
I personally consider her a false prophet and wrote and told her that. She prophesied one night that Jesus would appear personally on stage at Florida Lakeland in the following nights meeting. Now we have this new one.
Ok Lovers -- The Lord Bless you both - Ron
  • Leonard T

Oh No, there are two of you - LOL, actually I knew he is your husband. What a blessing for two people who love the Lord as much as you two do to come together in marriage. Thanks for the comment on the groups. I have been a bit neglectful regarding them and need to give them more attention.

    Lord Bless,

    Debbie,

You don't have to regret anything so long as your conscience does not accuse you. America has done a lot for the world...so be happy and know you belong to a wonderful country that most of us would give an arm to be part of. This is not to say that I over-rule completely that there is no head-in-the-sand syndrome among Americans...it is there...but also everywhere the world over!

About our prayer needs both personal and for the ministry, I believe they are just too many to enumerate. It is better you don't know them intimately for they can stagger one! Just pray for our overall well-being for nothing happens outside God's will dear. Thank you for your kindness.

We undertake to continue praying for you too and for Christ's work burdening your hearts. God bless and keep in touch-Pst. Bernhard C.
  • Ron Payne

    Hi Sweetness,
Should I have the power to heal people the way the Hinns and the Bentley's claim.
I would NOT be on a stage where singing one line of a chorus over and over, mesmerises the audience.
I would be in and out of hospitals where I would kick my patients in the face and knee them in the stomach and find myself locked up in a Loony Bin and charged with assault and possibly have the keys thrown away.
That is exactly where I would deserve to be.
Now what is wrong with the Christian Public? Surely they own a Bible. Have they lost all power to discern?
What saith the WORD? I cannot find "Kick her in the Face" or "Knee him in the Groin" or "Bam" as instructions from the Holy Spirit when dealing with the sick.
If the devil has power to touch a man's body and make him sick. see Job Job 1:12 "And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD." Then likewise satan can remove that sickness as well.
So like a good "Berean Christian who searches the scripture to see if these things are so." Acts 17:11 I will continue to do so and sadly leave Todd to kick his patients in their faces and satan can emitate the Holy Spirit by removing their sickness.
If I recall, somewhere you mentioned that you had been to S. Africa. So with that in mind I will send you
    Lotsa "Soentjies"
    Your friend - Ron

    My Sister,

Your genuine tears are just the balm that Jehovah God requires to push things for us! All will be okay for you pray for us with tears...beats all hypocritical, loud petitions that some can send our way while dry-eyed!

We grieve in league with you for this world is surely at cross-roads...we have all had our priorities not only wrong...but mixed up.Who shall stand up and turn the world right-side up? Am glad I can count on you to run intereference for Christ in your part of the world. Be confident that we do our bit our side, unspeakable challenges or not! May God bless you and yours for it's reasuring to see couples stick together-Pst. Bernhard C.

Just stopping by to say hello and hope your having a relaxing, cool Saturday afternoon.
  • Deborah Sue Schenfeld

Relaxing, maybe, but not very cool! I'm going to a wedding this evening & I don't want to get dressed to soon, because we have no air & I don't want to be all sweaty! Have you looked at my little video of the guy on the bike? It might make you cry. I'm so glad the God is my Father & he loves me as I am!
  • Belle

i already watched that you sent it to me and i did cry! What a touching story that was incredible thanks for sharing

    Hi Deborah,
I am also a grandmother of three. Great kids. Love to travel. Just got back from Montana a couple of weeks ago. Went to a campmeeting. Awesome time. God is surely visiting His people these days. God Bless.
  • Ron Payne

    H there,
    Thanks for you mail.
Yes I watch Wendy rave over TV regarding the doom of CA and Frisco. Scientists predicted this long long ago.
Therefore I know that it is going to happen.
At least they have the no agenda to make themselves famous. They also know that to make predictions will simply tarnish their reputation. But Wendy is clever.
She calls the nation to pray and ask God to hold back.
When her prophesy does not occur she will simply say:
"God answered the prayers of His Saints." Neat
Have a great day today and short muffled prayers, God accepts as well. When we pray, what are we saying without uttering a single word? Well, when we go to prayer we are really saying: "I am doing this Lord, because: "I BELIEVE YOU ARE" God is pleased to receive this wordless recognition that HE IS!
    Soentjies to both of you,
    Your Boet - Ron

Well have fun and remember half the things Matthew does is very lengthy and brainey! I think he is what we call a genius. He is definately set apart for great things.

Boxing gloves? "No!" I took the whole armour of God.

Even though it is badly dented after 50 years of battles and falls, walking in the dark and fighting with false prophets. But despite this it still keeps me safe and secure.
How is my mate Alan? He asked after my health and apart from having fractured my back in 4 places, at 2 different events (Fire Dept). I am extremely healthy.
I can walk perfectly, sing like a frog and talk like a fool.
What more can one ask for. I love most people, love you and Alan and I am a Jack of all Trades, BUT WITH ONE MASTER. "HOWZAT"
Today is education Day - Read and learn.
If someone, - specially an aged person - should stumble and fall with no real obstacle to cause it. Or starts to speak incoherently. Here is a simple test to warn of a stroke.
    1. Ask the individual to Smile.
    2. Ask the person to Talk and say a simple sentence coherently
    3. Ask him/her to raise both arms.
    4. Ask Him/Her to stick out their tongue
Look to see If the tongue is crooked or sticking out towards either side

If he or she has trouble with
    ANY ONE of these tasks,
    call 999/911immediately and describe the
    symptoms to the dispatcher.
To remember the above instructions simply
    apply it as follows STRT
    S = Smile
    T = Talk
    R = Raise both arms
T = The tongue, stick it out.
Here endeth the first lesson. Congratulations You have just become a possible Life Saver.

Hi Deborah Sue. I must say it takes one to know one (mighty woman of God). Let's revel in that for awhile. lol

Yes, Graham Cooke came to Orangeville, (about 45 minutes from where we live) for a 3-day conference on 'Embracing Heaven on Earth'. Graham's passion for the Lord and sense of humour make him very lovable and effective. His talk was about who I am on earth, and how I am known in heaven. He talked about allowing Jesus to in-dwell the negative aspects. I am very excited about upcoming and ongoing changes as I surrender to HIM.

    Loving my Jesus,
    Maryann
  • Belle

Uh....it was all Jeanies idea....cant say as i came up with it but thanks, she is always thinking that girl. i just want to give her a great big hug and you too, since i feel like i have known you for a long time now : )
  • Lynnie

No biggie Matthew has a true heart for God, he is a case where he grew up in the church and finds no greater pleasure than seeking God, he is true to the call and has no grey areas...so it seems.
When he greeted me at church one time after I borrowed his 7 disc creation dvd set by Kent Hovind, he was back from college on break. Well he gave me a hug, out of nowhere which was a shock, and immediately an annointing fell on me.
Because of my spirit of rebellion I was not used to or had experienced that kind of flowing of the spirit between individuals. That is when I knew among many instances that God could do many things I had not been used to, and I really am a young pup or a supernatural embryo in the ways of the eternal spirit. The love of God is a great tool if used properly. Our obedience and refusel to give up and rebuking the devourer with our God givin authority to tread on serpents and demons is a mighty , mighty gift. I am glad that you are able to discern different teachings without getting offended you Deborah must have definate calling likewise because you take it so gracefully and you remain the same in your joy of the Lord. I commend you!. I would ask the Lord to come and send you His mighty spirit with fervancey and with fire. Be blessed.
  • AAG Netguy

Thanks for being here, Deborah Sue. Is that what you like to be called? ... or something shorter? Have a great day in the Lord!
  • Belle

I always say wouldn't it be so cool to be able to get into one of those bank tubes at the drive thru but human sized and then you just have someone push the button and shoomp....your off to your destination in no time now wouldnt that be fun!
  • Belle

Yea, that would be awesome too to just teleport like that. It would be interesting and like you said scary the first time. Who knows with the way they keep coming up with stuff it may just come to that. I so do not want to be here if it comes to all that sci-fi flying cars junk way of living
  • MaryAnn

Hi Sunshine. Nope never say Dr. Who, but love the idea of being teleported for fellowship. Where's the station? Oh well, Maybe some day!!! I agree Graham is like a heaven-sent teddy bear, so lovable, and the best thing is that he has no fear of man...definitely living for the LORD. Gotta love him.

Thanks for your love, dear sister. We'll communicate by notes until we can do so in person...what a glorious day that will be. (So much to do, so little time). I have a problem with patience. lol. Lately God's been dealing with me on it, playing the waiting game.

    Love,
    MaryAnn

Yes Deborah I think you are very kind and have many, many positive confessions. I feel that +'s are better than -'s. Could you briefly explain to me what apologetics are? Many a moon I have heard that, I would like to know. Thanks and be Blessed, in running your race. The devil does not take vacations so we should'nt either, I think it is great to see someone with a whole heart for God that it is refreshing to hear such kind words. You are truely hungry for the things of God I can tell.
