I'm here to...
Share with and encourage other Christ followers
Interests:
Spending time with God, studying HIS Word, singing, praying, worshipping, spending time with family, cooking & eating, gardening, scrapbooking, reading Christian books.
I'm passionate about...
My daily walk with Jesus, and discovering more and more about the pure and holy nature of God.
My story with God
My background is Roman Catholic. I never knew growing up that I could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I was living for myself, doing whatever I pleased, gambling, drinking, partying, telling off-colour stories, dabbling in the occult, yet still going to church on Sundays.
The first time I read the Bible was in 1979. For six months, I was travelling by train four hours a day to get to my job in another city. During this time, I read the New Testament over and over, and really enjoyed reading about Jesus. I found the stories amazing. Even though I was reading the Bible, the revelation of God's truth did not yet get through to me.
Then in 1997 I had another nudge, while exercising. I distinctly heard a voice say: 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God.' It was so bizarre, that I looked around to see who was talking. No one was in the house. I made a note in my journal, of what I heard that day.
Then in 2003, on April 12th, I was attending an Alpha Course where we could ask all the hard questions. We were discussing 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why did He die?' I realized that I needed to make a choice. The facilitator said that I could be sure of where I would go when I died, and I wanted to be sure. I was at home all by myself, when I invited Jesus into my heart. He came in so lovingly and I experienced real forgiveness for the first time in my life. I was exhilarated and joyful, and I still am.
My husband, Tony did the Alpha Course with me, and said the sinners prayer the following week, but he did not have the experience of being saved until later. It happened on January 6, 2005, while he was listening to a taped message by Jack Frost, 'Hindrances to Receiving the Father's Love'. He then had the awareness: 'It's not about me, it's about Jesus'. What an amazing revelation. Now God had his attention, and his heart. You really know when God has a hold of you. We are both so thankful that we can serve our King together. We are growing in His love and knowledge. God is so Good!
The two most exciting things in my life were when my daughter, Carla, gave her heart to Jesus on October 1, 2006, after I prayed with her, and God delivered her from anxiety. My son Rob gave his heart to the Lord on July 1, 2007 while while we were visiting him. We drove 8,000 km on that journey, and it was a pleasure. All the stories are amazing. These precious ones are all on fire to spread the love of God to others. Thank You, Jesus! You are the One who saves us all. Now we are praying for household salvation. There are still a few more to come.
Other stuff about me:
My husband and I both have a heart for mission work. Last winter we built a home in Jequetepeque, Peru. Hopefully it can be used as a respite for missionaries in need of a rest. We plan to serve God, wherever we are, here in Canada, or at our home away from home in PerĂº. God is great! HE is good all the time!

I choose to serve God, and day-by-day am learning to live in His will, and to trust and obey HIM. HE is my King!. I do not lose sight of the fact that I am a sinner saved by HIS grace. I am a grateful daughter and I know what I've been saved from. I plan to live in blessings from now on, and to occupy until He comes for me, or until I go to be with Him.

    Mary Ann this is a good question. Remember this;
nobody cares what you say until they know you care.
Jesus was rebuked because He hung out with sinners. Mary Ann light always overcomes the darkness. Some things have to take place in a Christians heart, it is a conversion out of the world into God's glorious kindom, and then back into the world as salt and light. Some one said it like this; we are in the world, but the world is not in us. I don't know if i sent you a note about joining a new group called; Being a revivalist in the New Milliniom. This some of the stuff we are going to deal with. If you choose to join, go to the group and request an invitation. God bless you for allowing the Lord to use you to help your friend.

I love my page also thanks to Carla who turned me on to a Christian theme net. It really expresses what God is doing in my heart at this time in my life. God is good.
I do not know if you have heard of mesianic praise music. I love Paul wilber who is a messianic Jew which means he has recieved Jesus as savior and Lord. I was in a prayer meeting a few weeks ago and saw a bannor in the Spirit. It had king of kings on it. this is the thing the bannor had a long train.
I n the book of Isaiah when he saw the Lord he was high and lifted up and His train filled the temple. In this video you will see a bannor with a train on it with a kings crown on it an has Adonia which is a Hebrew word for Lord.
The one I saw was a little different and hope to work with some others to create the one I saw. In ancient times the longer the kings veil was the greater his glory. I hope you enjoy it.
    Blessings

    My Dear Tony and MaryAnn,
Thank you for your kind words and sharing my grief.
I am still not quite ready to come back, I find myself staring at the keyboard with nothing to say. I am sure this will pass as the Lord continues to comfort me.

THE THING I STRUGGLE WITH ABOUT FAITH IS KEEPING IT, (I FIND IF I TAKE MY EYES OF JESUS AND ONTO A PROBLEM OR PERSON THEN IT GOES, IF I PUT JESUS ALWAYS FIRST AND UTMOST IN MY EYES THOUGHTS IT STAYS ) KEEPING THE VISION OF WHO HE IS AND WHAT HE IS TO ME FIRST AND THEN TO OTHERS (GODS POWER GODS GLORY) knowing that Jesus is this and not me amen

Thank You for your Kindness and concern for me over these last two weeks. How good it has been to know that there are friends out there whom I have never met, "yet they care."
I look forward to sharing with you again and trust that all is well your side. I believe Carla has gone to Nova Scotia. Carla is a real blessing to this group and with all she comes into contact with.
The Lord Bless you and smile upon you.

Thanks for sending that Word from the Lord. I saved it so I can read it through a few times because there is so much in it. The meeting was awesome we went to Friday. There were 19 of us including our Pastor and his wife. I was prayed over by a couple of people. When i was prayed for for healing the lady who prayed for me discribed my cronic pain problem. When this happens it assures my heart that God is with me. Also when I was prayed over by a nother man, the Lord through him said that He was going to double the compassin I have and increase the evangelistic anointing on my life. I can't wait for church this morning. God bless you my sister and I will talk to you soon.
    In the love of Jesus.

    Hi MaryAnn,
I hope I haven't offended you in my comments about Todd Bentley, but I can't change my opinion. The beautiful thing is, we can agree to disagree, because we are both Christ Followers (I should hope!) not the followers of any particular teacher.
    God Bless!

My hair was already turning white, so I went ahead and finished the job by turning the whole head white. Getting the nose just right was a different problem. I didn't have to change the size, only the color :-)

Ona serious note, I am definitely standing in the gap for Heidi's situation.

NOW THIS IS THE CONFIDENCE THAT WE HAVE IN HIM,
THAT IF WE ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, HE
HEARS US. AND IF WE KNOW THAT HE HEARS US,
WHATEVER WE ASK, WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE THE
PETITIONS THAT WE HAVE ASKED OF HIM.
    ( 1 JOHN 5:14-15 *NKJV )
We often find ourselves to busy to stop and say a prayer
when we have a rough day. In this life everything seems like
it has to be accomplished A.S.A.P. So we often forget to
speak to God in prayer about it before we react.
Therefore one must remember that; THE PRAYER OF A
RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL AND EFFECTIVE!.
( JAMES 5:16 *NIV ) More powerful and more effective than
anything else on this Earth, even when we must react
    As Soon As Possible.
Now friend, have you ever wondered about the
abbreviation A.S.A.P.? Generally we think of it in terms
of even more hurry and stress in our lives. Maybe if we
think of this abbreviation in a different manner, we will
begin to find a new way to deal with those rough days
    along the way...
    So when.......
    There's work to do, deadlines to meet;
You've got no time to spare,
But as you hurry and scurry-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER
In the midst of family chaos,
    "Quality time" is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.
It may seem like your worries
Are more than you can bear.
Slow down and take a breather-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER
    God knows how stressful life is;
He wants to ease our cares,
And He'll respond to all your needs
    A.S.A.P. - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.

What is Mission for the Rural People?

Mission for the Rural People is a team of committed men and women of God dedicated to helping children and the elderly in the Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh; SOUTH INDIA and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We welcome every Christian in our ecumenical mission. Mission for the Rural People is a registered organization.

Eight years ago we set up an orphanage in Vellatur, which is seven hours from Hyderabad by train. At the orphanage we help children abandoned by their parents. An ultimate goal for Good Samaritan Orphanage is to gather 100 helpless and unwanted children. The orphans come from slums, leper colonies, poor families and tribal villages. They come from the streets, rejected by their families and society and left to beg for the very necessities of their lives. In India about 40% of the population suffers because of starvation. They come to us for shelter, clothing, food, education, and the Gospel message. Our main goal is to help and educate poor and needy children. We are helping 58 children now, but this is just a small percentage of those who need help. We do not have any special financial support to run Good Samaritan Orphanage. Everything is funded by the generosity of people like you. We have managed to find sponsors for 26 children, but 32 of them still do not have any regular financial support. We welcome you to become a part of this ministry by supporting one of our orphans. We are living in a

rural area in very simple conditions, however our children are very skilled and together we create a big and happy family. We would like to ask you to help us by sponsoring a child. We call it adoption of heart.

Hi Mary Ann, speaking of gardens, my middle son Brennan who is 20 came and planted me a small garden for fathers day. It is funny because he was working at the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory over Christmas and the whole family got all kinds of neat stuff from there,

He works at a garden center and gets a good discount so he got me all kinds of neat stuff. the thing is I do not know what some of the stuff is. lol
He is going to be moving to Collorado soon and I am going to miss him more than I do now and he lives only 2 hours away.

Thanks for thinking of me. It is nice to hear from you always. You are a great blessing also.
    In the love of Jesus.

Your doin great kid! Before you know it, you will be translating Ramona's messages for me.
The way Afrikaners speak is different to English'
Take for instance Thank you very much
A direct translation would be "Baie" (Many) Dankie (Thankyou)
Because of this a S.African has a lot of grammar mistakes when speaking or writing in English. But we are always forgiven by our Western counterparts, because we are so lovable. - You better believe it.

    Value Life...........

Long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.
Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.
Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he was exhausted and was dying. Then he asked himself, "Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself."
The above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition. We neglect our health , time with our family and to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.
One day when we look back , we will realize that we don't really need that much , but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed.
Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition.

    Life is definitely

    not about work!
Work is only necessary to keep us living so as to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life.. Life is a balance of Work and Play, Family and Personal time.
You have to decide how you want to balance your Life. Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole aim of human existence. So, take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature. Life is fragile , Life is short. Do not take Life for granted. Live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy Life!

Watch your thoughts ; they become words.

Watch your words ; they become actions.

Watch your actions ; they become habits..

Watch your habits; they become character .

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny

So enjoy every day as yours.........

FROM THE FULLNESS OF HIS GRACE WE HAVE ALL
    RECEIVED ONE BLESSING AFTER ANOTHER.
    ( JOHN 1:16 *NIV )

Always remember to count our blessings each day, and to
thank God for them! For no matter what we have, when we
look around us, we find others who have less! So never feel
sorry for ourself, instead start counting our blessings, for that
    should cheer u up indeed.

Now we know that when things disappoint us, we are sad and
often depressed. However it is written that we should: BE
JOYFUL ALWAYS; PRAY CONTINUALLY; GIVE THANKS IN
ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU
    IN JESUS CHRIST. ( 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18 )

Therefore, never feel that God doesn't hear our prayers
because a prayer isn't answered the way we want, or something
goes wrong in our life. For our Heavenly Father always knows
what is best for us, and: HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU NOR
    FORSAKE YOU. ( DEUTERONOMY 31:6 )

So my friend, remember to always: GIVE THANKS TO THE
LORD, CALL ON HIS NAME; MAKE KNOWN AMONG THE
NATIONS WHAT HE HAS DONE for you!
    ( 1 CHRONICLES 16:8 )

In closing, MAY THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST, AND THE LOVE OF GOD, AND THE
FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU ALL,
    now and always! Amen! ( 2 CORINTHIANS 13:14 )

Beloved! In life we face problems of all kinds. But God is love and has made a way through His son Lord Jesus Christ to be delivered of our problems. When we trust in Him, He will deliver us from the problems and change our lives (Psalm 34:8; 84:12; 146:5).

    My Dear friend in Jesus,
On my way back to home from a mission trip a couple of days back, I met a young man in the train. I was praying for an opportunity to share about God's Love to someone. He came and sat besides me asking all about me. Later I also asked about him and finally came to the point and asked him whether he ever heard of Jesus. He said yes and also been to church several times. OS I asked him,"what do you feel about Jesus", He said "actually I dont believe in any God", He added "all I believe is in myself and I have been living lke this since my childhood". SO I asked Him, why do you feel so? what made you to believe that thers no God? He said do you see people in the name of religion kill so many innocent animals, don't they have the right to Live Just Like Us? aren't they Just Like us? This Young man because of his compassion on the animals he did not eat any meat, fish or meat of any living creatures... since He belives that They also have the right to live. And he went on to say How bad people become rich and good people remain poor? Why unjust people prosper and good people remain the same way? He had thrown a lot of q's like hat. Specially he asked me, why do people become ghosts after they are killed but why not animals? after I shared about Jesus to Him and His sacrifice on the cross of calvary, I also answered every q that he asked me and was not able to give any reply to my q's.
Finally I asked Him a question have you ever prayed to God?, He said, "yes, once but God did not answer me, so I don't believe that thers a God" I asked him do you believe thers air? can you see it? he said he can experience it, and I said in the same way you can experience God. The he asked me why people suffer? I told him all about sin, and fall of man kind that brought total destruction upon humans... and told him the remedy that we have in Jesus, through His sacrifice on the cross. I also told Him that Jesus is coming soon, and all thats happening in this age gives us the message that He is indeed coming soon... atlast I saw some kind of acceptance in his talk and face. he atlast said let me have your phone number and I gave to him and Tod Him to Give hsi life to Jesus. He kinda laughed and said let me try. I told him why can't you try Him Just once and see...I could understand that he want to try him but was determined to defend his self... But I know that he will be a different person. right now I am in the process of communicating with him...Plz Remember Victor in your prayers for his salvation.
    yours in Jesus

Hi Maryann, I just keep getting my socks blessed off lately.
I believe I told you about the 13 year old boy who had a vision at church 2 weeks ago about the chains being removed from the doors of our church. Yesterday we sang a song that God had given him about the vision during worship. It was awesome, at the end of the service we sang it again. The pastor explained that the chains being gone and the doors open ment 2 things; The glory of God was free to come into the church and we were being released in our giftings to come forth out of our lives. I will leave the words here.
    In the love of Jesus.

Thankyou Mary Ann. You & Carla are both, such wonderful, faithful & caring women of God! It's so much better to have fellowship in Jesus & be stirred up in Him, than to just be playing around on Facebook. Have a blessed day!
