What an awesome story, i was saved 2-16-75 and Baptised in the Holy Spirit 2-9-79. The 1970s were amazing in the harvest that God brought in. One of the preacher boys who came to my home in Danby Vermont was from Canada also. They were Bible students at Word of life Bible instute from NY state running youth groups on the weekends in local churches. I was saved on their second visit. Last year i found out that one of thhose preacher boys were pastoring over Near Word of Life and I suprised him. It was or first meeting in 30 years. He had a real hard time keeping it together while preaching. Well Bill God bless fellow 70s Jesus Freak.

Hey Bill I am doing better. I just recently got saved and was Baptised on June the 8th. I have put it in the lords hands. My husband and I are still married but seperated. I am just praying for him. Thanks for asking.

Long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.
Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.
Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he was exhausted and was dying. Then he asked himself, "Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself."
The above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition. We neglect our health , time with our family and to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.
One day when we look back , we will realize that we don't really need that much , but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed.
Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition.

Hi bill, it has been a while since I have talked to you. I hope all is well with you. I love your testimony, in those days during the Jesus movement a lot of people had testimonys like yours. I remember my first Jesus movement music by the 2nd Chapter of Acts, then Lovesong, Keath Green, and of course Larry Norman.
I was saved in 1975 and I am praying that I will see another move of God that will touch the world again.
