fellowship with other brothers, and sisters in Christ, and most importantly, learn more about Christ!
Interests:
Since I ever recieved Jesus Christ in my heart, I love to serve my family, eat what God has made for me, witness my faith to others, to draw, to run outside, to read about Christian Living, and love to check on Jesus and see what He is doing.
I'm passionate about...
To be honest, I am passionate about being healthy. However, I am trying to strive closer to Christ Jesus, and learning to hug the wood-splintered, prickly cross for Him!
My story with God
When I was in 7th grade, I found a running passion in my condition class. I started realize that I can strive to be healthy for God's glory by continue to push myself foward. Meanwhile, I was suffering a intense addiction to pornography. I fought the addiction in my 8th grade year without telling my family. One night of summer after 8th grade, I saw a show about the end times and Jesus was coming back in an alarming rate from all the events are happening currently. My God convicted me to tell my sin of porngraphy to my mother. To my astonishment, my mother gracefully reminded me that it was not right, but thanked me for telling her before it became destructive. That night, I felt my body was soaring high, and leaping with joy! While I decided to commit myself to the Lord through running. I ran for 30 minutes to be healthy. I was successful through believing in the Lord will help me. When August came, I begin to fall in the wrong direction. My body image became more important then giving praise to God. I couldn't stand if I did a miss working out in a day of the week. I begin to lower my portions of food to gain this unseemly body image I created for my classmates. I developed a eating disorder. As school started, a cross-country tryout was held, and I took it in August. That day on the tryout, I ran for 4 miles. On the 5th mile, my body begin to shut down, and begin to suffer heat exhaustion. My coach carried me by his side, running to the nearest water fountian, and calling other runners for emergency. When I reached the water fountian, I failed to drink it successfully. I couldn't breathe. Then, I passed out. God intervened to me through a vision, replaying my life, then told me He was there with me forever. I could hear Him, and sense Him inside me, feeling His powerful strength inside me. This moment, I thought I have died, then when I woke up. My first thought was that I was alive again! However, I did not forget how real, and close God was to me in that vision. I remember thinking about how real God is, and How awesome He displayed Himself to me in that vision in the ambulence! After experincing Him, God changed my life. I decided to recommit myself to Christ, and surrender my life to the Lord! Christ broke my eating disorder, video game craze, and my sexual desires. However, it took my 9th grade year to get over about my eating disorder, video game interests, and falling in temptation of masterbation, but more to have Christ to conquer in my life.
Other stuff about me:
I am a deaf teenager with a Co-clear implant. I cannot hear without this hearing device.
Greetings in the Lord! This is Greg, TheNET Coordinator. Welcome! We're glad you are here and thank you for sharing your transparent and amazing story of what God has done and is doing in your life! Praise God!
You may be interested in joining the "Youth Group" we have located in the GROUPS tab. I'm sure they are looking for young people on fire for the Lord and wanting to write on a variety of topics. Hope you enjoy it!
Chase, thank you for your good words. I am glad you are honoring your parent's wishes. I know you have a desire to share Christ but obeying them is more important at this time and will bring you blessing. You can still share Jesus with others over the internet, with friends in school, with your relatives. I'm glad you see the importance of discipleship. AllAboutGOD.com is great place to get information to learn and grow in your relationship with Jesus.
Thank you too, Chase, for your friendship. I hope you can connect with Christian Speegle here on TheNET. He is about your age and doing a great job of sharing the truth with others.
I will pray for them all. I too have friends in the threatened areas for flooding. With all of our prayers I am sure they will be ok. Praise the Lord! I am glad u r my friend! Christs Love to you.
I am a new Christian also. I came to know the Lord in Oct of '06. Once the Lord gets ahold of us, He will not ever let us go. He will never leave nor forsake us. Chase, I have learned to continually hand these things which are confusing over to Christ. Just lay all your burdens, sadness, trials, victories and even Blessings at the foot of the cross. Jesus will (in fact has already) take all of it for you. The Blessings He will keep safe....and He will make sure they do not become idols in our lives, that is why we must also hand them over to Him.
Chase you are dearly loved. We could use your heart and compassion participating in the forums. God Bless! Carla
