My story with God
My story with God isn't special, but I will share it to give Him all the glory. I just need to think about how to write it. I will come back and update this story later.
Other stuff about me:
Who am I that Christ should die for me? The answer is... that who I am is not so important as who He is. It's all about Jesus.

My photo is one that I took while visiting High Falls State Park in Georgia. Two ducks, a male and a female, stand upon a rock while the water rushes past--the rapids only feet away. The ducks are so secure that they are each standing on one foot with their heads tucked in. I chose this photo because it represents my wife, me, and the security of our lives when our house is built upon the rock that is Christ.

    Thanks, Joe-Gil. I appreciate that.

I just wanted to mention to whomever reads this page that I included a few songs that might need some explanation as to why I've chosen to include them here. I posted Man of Constant Sorrow because it reminds me that the journey that we make through this world is not forever--that no matter what we suffer, our suffering is less than that of Him who died for us. He is the man of sorrows mentioned in Isaiah 53. I included music from the Beowulf soundtrack, A Hero Comes Home, because I feel that it is a good reminder that Christ, our Hero, will return. I included Bring Me to Life by Evanescence because, to me, it sounds like the soul that cries out to Christ when its heart is broken and it realizes that it needs Him. Only He is life among the dead. I hope the rest are self-explanatory.

Hi, so you're from Americus, too, huh? We've been here nearly two years. My husband is a teacher and I homeschool. It's nice to "meet" you. Thank you for asking me to be your friend here. God bless you, it's for HIM I live, Anna

You nut! Why didn't you tell me that you had an account? Now I feel stupid! Well, not really. I love the picture....but you should have told me! What made you decide to join? I should have picked up on who you were by the songs you choose...silly me. Well, welcome! For HIM I live, Anna

Bro, thanks for your kind comments about my writing. It's my hope to give people the ability to strip away the religious veneer and hear the Truth of Christ without distraction or distortion.

In that line of thinking, I appreciate your comments about your story with God and other stuff: "who I am is not so important as who He is. It's all about Jesus." It's too easy to lose sight of that simple truth.

    Blessings.

    Hey, friend...
It's been a while since we've talked and you both had been on my mind. Alanna said that you were working over where she is now at least part-time but she didn't know what company. Is everything going well? I have been missing our talks about God. I have been sick for about three weeks. We've got a flu going on around here, although it's not as bad as it could be. Some of us have bronchitis, also. It's been fun....
Seriously, though, we are blessed that it isn't much worse and we expect to be better soon.
Matthew broke up with that girl he met on myspace and then decided that he wanted to come home only to immediately change his mind. I didn't even know that he wanted to come back until he reversed his decision but I don't think it's a good idea anyway. None of us do, really.
Let me know how you all are. God be with you all. Anna
