Interests:

I would love to travel the world(or even the US) to see some more of God's creation.
I'm passionate about...
sparking a true passion for God in myself and in my kids
My story with God
I have known the Lord since I was a child. There were many years that I drifted, sometimes very far from Him due to drug addiction and sinful living. I now have over 8 years clean and rededicated my life to the Lord in 1999. I struggle daily in many small areas with giving God true control over my life, but am working on that. I love the Lord and have a desire to become more Christlike.
Other stuff about me:
I'm a mother of six. I've been seperated from my husband for almost 3 years. I'm currently going to an extended university to get my certification for drug and alcohol counseling, have worked at tarzana treatment center for 6 years. I spend most of my free time at home and hangin out with my kids.

    Hello Lori!!!
Welcome my friend! Its a blessing to meet you! Im Paige, a network moderator here on TheNet and Im always soo happy to see new friends come join us from allover the world. I see you are from Lancaster. How neat. I have never been there, but being that it is in California, Im sure its nice. I need to get out more. I live in Utah which has been nice because of the different seasons, but as I get older, I want more warmth, not snow!!! We get alot of snow!!

You will love it here on TheNet. There are all kinds of groups that you can join and reply to. Be sure to check out The Genesis Group and visit The Links for Growth forum for great tips on how to grow more in Christ.

I also want to invite you to join us in the Womens group where we just have alot of fun fellowshipping and supporting one another as we walk with Him daily. I wouldnt know what to do if I didnt have my little group of close lady friends to go to. It really helps me keep on keepin on. You will find a chat box there also where you can come join us for a chat anytime.

Once again, Im happy you are here to join us as we help one another walk victoriously with Christ and share his love with everyone. I pray that with TheNet you will grow in love and wisdom of our Lord, Christ.

    Lori!!!
PRAISE GOD!!!!! I have read more about you, and , PRAISE GOD!!!!
Coming out of that past, and addiction, and walking with the Lord is a BIG step and a absolute blessing too! I was not a drug addict, but drugs are not the only addiction out there. I was addicted to many things, however, I never did drugs. I saw what drugs did top those around me, but I had my own drug of choice. I gave myself ove rto the Lord in 2002 when I was practically on my death bed. I am 5'8 and at that time I weighed 86 lbs. I was an anorexic and a bulimic. I was addicted to excersize, diet pills and , men. I was lost, and lost all my family, and relationships. I lost a good job and good pay. I lost it and almost died. I had no one, and no reason. But God loved me enough to scrape me off the pavement. I am an recovering anorexic and will always be. I guess you can say I am 6 years sober?
Anyway, my brother n law is 15 years sober, went to school in drug and alcohol counseling, and now landed a good job with the greatest clientele. He is an amazing man, and has been there and done that. I love chatting with him. He even helps me sometimes when Im having a bad day. He isnt a christian, but I can tell he is searching.
I hope i didnt bore you, but I got excited when I read about you. I know the hardship of addiction, and yet I know the passion for helping people. Lets help the dying world out there ok? God Bless you my friend!!!

    Hello again!!
How are you today? I pray all is well.
Thak you soo very much for your message. 12 hours! Wow! Last time I pulled something like that was when I was going to college full time, and working at a paint and decorating store full time. I loved it, but if I think of doing that now, just the thought of it wears me out! So thank the Lord that you have the strength every morning to get up and help all these people get off drugs and alcohol. I also have my two little ones, that pretty much wipe me out as well.
My brother n law is a counselor and he loves helping hic lients. Some really turn thier lives around then some relapse and end up in jail. He just does the best he can. Its great to talk with him about it, because I used to have my many addictions and he used to be an alcoholic. hes been sober for 20 r
years. What is cool is that even though he is mormon, he comes to me and wants to borrow Christian books, tapes, and Cd's to help his clients. I love to share them with him because the books are filled with love and wisdom from Christ and ways to overcome the world and its addictions. If youd like, I can give you the name and the author for youto check these out. Maybe they'll help you.
Well, I better go, its early in the morning and I cant live without my coffee. i guess you could say I was "addicted"?
    God Bless you
