Meet people (perhaps -- ahem -- a nice, single Christian girl...) and discuss Christian topics
Interests:
Politics, philosophy, theology, apologetics, criminal psychology, all kinds of music, and other stuff I'll think of later...
I'm passionate about...
Politics and understanding the Bible correctly
My story with God
I was raised in a Christian home and even went to a Christian school until I finished the fifth grade, but I never really "got it" until my parents divorced and my family could no longer to send me (and my two younger brothers) to the school. I finally gave my heart to Christ at a Virginia Bible camp in 1983. Since then, I have made my share of mistakes, but my Heavenly Father has forgiven me and brought me through everything. For that, I can only give Him thanks and praise.
Other stuff about me:
I need to find out exactly what God would have me do with my professional life.
I love music and, for some reason, I have taken a real liking to hymns being performed by Celtic groups.
I really enjoy science fiction, documentaries, and crime shows (both true and fictional).
I am a heart attack survivor since November 2005, when I was 34.

Hey! Thomas
I read your reply on the Calvinist thread
I have a question on unconditional election
say we were all headed to eternal damnation to begin with anyway, then God wouldn't have to elect anyone for damnation right? He would simple be saving some from damnation not necessarily elected the rest to it.
it would be like saving a people for Himself and allowing the rest to suffer the consequences of sins. what do you think?
I believe in unconditional election, I don't believe in double election though.

Thanks for your thoughts Thomas, I think if He didn't knock on each and every door He wouldn't be just, whether or not He extends His grace to everyone in the same measure is another can of worms...
BTW i'm mixed, both parents Baptists and both grandmothers (can't wait to see/meet them) pentecostals
so I get to make fun of both, pretty sweet deal
