I just read your story and thought you and I could swap stories...I grew up in the church but walked away for 10 years or so. I ended up arrested at 13, part of a drug dealing and theft ring at 14, best friends with the lead guitarist of Guns n Roses at 15. At 18 I moved in with the band in Hollywood and man it was dark! I ended up seeing all my friends get hooked on heroin and everything else. At 20 years I met another enemy of my soul...success! I landed a killer job and my life changed but not for the better. God finally did a series of miracles to reach me at 22...exactly 20 years ago this year! Yes, I am old.. I have a son that is 15 years old and consumed by music as well. What bands are you listening to? I would love to connect with you more and I want to challenge you to find a young adults group or good church in your area...If you don't have one. If you don't know what to look for, I can help in that area as well. Thanks for your reply. You are a child of the creator of the universe, don't let anyone or thing try to convince of anything else. When you were strong in your faith as a younger person, you were still a sinner. Now with some distance from God, you can see that you are still a sinner (or bigger one?). WE are ALL sinners! Turn back to the one: Jesus who dealt with sin once and for all (you and me). God bless you today.

I have a 23 year old son and a 19 year old son who have been skateboarding for years, so I have heard alot of stuff. Growing up in the 70s causes me to be partial to rock and roll. I will leave you with a clip from a guy I use to listen to when I was a teen Christian.
