He Prepares Your Path
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“I will go before you and make the crooked places straight...”
(Isaiah 45:2, NKJ)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Are you going through a season where you feel like every time you try to move forward, you hit a roadblock? Something happens that throws you off course. Be encouraged today because when you submit your life to the Lord, He promises to go before you. He is preparing a way for you. He is making your crooked places straight and your rough places smooth. You may be going through a difficult time right now, but it’s not the end. It’s only the beginning, and God has equipped you for this journey.

Today, if you feel like you’re in a dry season, don’t look at your circumstances. Look at the promise of God! If you’ll keep speaking words of faith, God promises that He’ll anoint your head with oil and your cup will run over. That means you’ll be refreshed and anointed to do what He’s called you to do. God is preparing your path and equipping you for the journey.

What do you need in order to keep moving forward? Start by checking your attitude. Don’t go around complaining or focused on the negative side of things. Put on an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. Thank Him for making your crooked places straight! Keep your eyes on Him and follow Him forward into the path of victory!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord in heaven, thank You for Your goodness in my life. Thank you for preparing the path for my life and making my crooked places straight. Thank You for restoring my soul and life and guiding me in everything I do. I submit every area of my life to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today's Bible Verse:
Job 1:21
And he [Job] said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD." (ESV)
Today's Inspiring Thought: Earthly Pleasures
Job enjoyed great wealth and abundant blessing from the Lord. These were his words of testimony when he lost everything.

God created the earth and everything in it as gifts for our enjoyment. He wants us to receive pleasure from all of the beauty and wonder that he made. The key, however, is accepting God's gifts with an open hand and an open heart. Are we, like Job, willing to let go whenever God decides to take away one of his gifts, whether it be a loved one, a job, a house, or any other earthly pleasure?

First Passover—Cleansing the Temple

13The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables. 15And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; 16and to those who were selling the doves He said, “Take these things away; stop making My Father’s house a place of business.” 17His disciples remembered that it was written, “ZEAL FOR YOUR HOUSE WILL CONSUME ME.” 18The Jews then said to Him, “What sign do You show us as your authority for doing these things?” 19Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20The Jews then said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” 21But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 22So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.

23Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. 24But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, 25and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.

Joel
Welcome to a new year and a new season of God's goodness!
Dear Family,

Victoria and I love this time of the year because it’s filled with excitement and anticipation of what’s to come. No matter what this past year has brought you, we want to assure you that God wants to do new and incredible things in your life.

The power to see change in your life can be found in the words you speak. You have the power to set the destiny for your life...by what comes out of your mouth.

The bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that life and death are found in the words we speak. No one gets to decide the words that come out of your mouth except for you.

You have complete control over what you choose to say.

Your words have the power to set things in motion, good or bad. They’re like little seeds that you plant in life.

When your words are filled with faith, hope and promise then you’ll enjoy the fruit of them. But if they’re filled with discouragement, fear and other negative attitudes you won’t enjoy your life.

Here at the beginning of a new year, let me encourage you! I speak hope, favor and new life to you. You are filled with God-given destiny and passion. You are everything God has called you to be! I declare this in Jesus’ name over your life today.

If you want to see your circumstances and situations change for the better, you have to start by planting good seeds through your words.

Make your confessions personal and real, and allow God’s strength and power to move; to change things for the better. Instead of saying “I’m not,” start saying “I am.” “I am blessed! I am able! I am healed! I am smart! I am gifted! I am everything God has called me to be!”

Victoria and I appreciate you and want you to know that as you intentionally bless and encourage others with your words, I know God will continue to pour out His blessings in your life.

y!

Today's Bible Verse:

James 5:19–20
My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (ESV)

Today's Inspiring Thought: Bring Back a Sinner

Jamesis speaking to Christians when he says "my brothers." This verse makes it plain that sometimes believers stumble and get off track. The Bible says in Hebrews 3:12-13 that we ought to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ daily so that no one turns away from the living God.

If you see a fellow Christian backsliding, or drifting away from the Lord, make every effort to reach out a hand of fellowship. And stay on the alert yourself. Each and every one of us is capable of wandering from the truth.

Wow ,I can see why brother Paul wanted the saints in his day to imitate him ,he had nothing but LOVE for them, this is taken from PHILIPPIANS 1:9-11

9And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, 10so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; 11having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. And I'm praying the same prayer for us family in JESUS MIGHTY NAME AND POWERFUL BLOOD

In Jesus Name, Father I stand with Elaine, for Kenneth.  Holy Spirit I ask You to open the eyes of his heart, to see the Love of Jesus.  Allow him to see how much he is Loved.  And, to give him the knowledge that he needs, so that the Love of the Lord is the greatest influence on him.  We all make bad decision, it is important when we do, we see them for what they are, seek forgiveness and the ability to change.  Father, I thank You that Ken and the rest of us understand, that ability is found only in Jesus.  And, we stand with Elaine, that Ken desires that ability.  We stand in the gap, and lift up Ken, Elaine, and the rest of their family, in Jesus Holy Name.  We Praise You for complete healing, in every aspect of Ken's life.  Thank You, Praise You, and we Glorify Your Holy Name, Jesus.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.    Hebrews 4:16
