Button - Scripture

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see” (Hebrews 11:1)

Button - The People

Please pray for those who have gotten the wrong impression about Jesus. Some people have been very hurt by others misrepresenting Jesus. Let’s pray this week that God would reveal to them His true heart of love and mercy.

Today's Bible Verse:

Proverbs 16:2
People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives. (NLT)

Today's Inspiring Thought: Heart Motives

It seems one of the hardest things for us to do is to accurately judge ourselves. It is our natural tendency to go easy on ourselves, while judging others more harshly. God, on the other hand, intricately knows our hearts, as well as the motives behind our actions. He judges correctly, based on the true reasons whywe do what we do.

Before you let yourself off the hook too easily, allow the Lord to examine your heart.

In Jesus Name I come to You Father.  I lift up all of these, in this group to You.  I ask we discover what Your Will for us is.  I ask You to show us how best to be, who You desire us to be.  My Lord with a humble heart, yet confident belief I stand on Your Word, for these things that I have asked.  We are Working out our Faith, to Your Praise, Honor, and Glory.  We seek only to do Your Will.  With a hunger to Serve You, and a desire to see Your Glory.  I lift these up to You my Lord, in Jesus Holy Name.

Fill my cup LORD.

You will eat the fruit of your labor,

blessings and prosperity will be yours....

This is the man blessed who fears the LORD.

psalm128:2-4

My cup overflows .

Lord, you are the sourceof all blessing in my life. Help me to realize that Your hand works all things together for good. I want to fill my life with remembrances of grace and mercy Youve shown to family and me.

Hebrews 12:1-13
New American Standard Bible

Jesus, the Example

      1Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

      3For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

A Father’s Discipline

      4You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin;

5and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
         “MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD,
         NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;

6FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES,
         AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”

7It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? 10For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. 11All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

      12Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, 13and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.

1Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2For by it the men of old gained approval
6And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. HEBREWS 11:1-2 ,HEBREWS 1:6
