The Temporal and Eternal

      1For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, 3inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. 4For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. 5Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.

      6Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— 7for we walk by faith, not by sight— 8we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. 9Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

      16Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Hamm I wanted to add something.  You do not hide your heart.  That is a very strong trait.  It so Trust in that I am humbled.  It shows the desire to know Truth.  To have a heart as that some spend a life time, trying to work up that courage.  In all these things, I see Jesus and Holy Spirit at work in you, my Dear Brother.  Just wanted you to know.

Praise God Hamm  you must know what a true Blessings you are.  I so do love the way you see things.  To know that the Love of God binds us all together.  Many times the things you share I am humbled by your open and honest heart.  I do so want you to know that Jesus can be seen clearly through your words.  Few people have the ability as do you.  To be able to share honest emotions with others.  True miles do separate us, yet the Love we share cannot be limited by such things.  We are True Family.

Alcedes and Chris thank you so very much for your comments, I love you my dear brothers. Your faith is so strong, I admire you both.

The struggle I have at the moment I know I can overcome and when the darkness lifts I do so much enjoy the light.

I was walking home tonight just in time to see one of those beautiful sunsets cutting through the rain clouds and for the few moments it lasted I gave thanks and praise for it glory and the gift from the Lord God.

When I settled down and read the comments from you both, I was humbled again, and I realise how much or how little thingsd like a sunset and caring words and words of faith from two people I hardly know and on the other side of the world can lift my heart. I have just took two steps over those 5 backwards, so 7 forward. Thanks again and may you both of you shine, shine and shine for all eternity. God bless.

 Psalm 73 :1-9
New American Standard Bible

BOOK 3

The End of the Wicked Contrasted with That of the Righteous.

A Psalm of Asaph.

1Surely God is good to Israel,
         To those who are pure in heart!

2But as for me, my feet came close to stumbling,
         My steps had almost slipped.

3For I was envious of the arrogant
         As I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4For there are no pains in their death,
         And their body is fat.

5They are not in trouble as other men,
         Nor are they plagued like mankind.

6Therefore pride is their necklace;
         The garment of violence covers them.

7Their eye bulges from fatness;
         The imaginations of their heart run riot.

8They mock and wickedly speak of oppression;
         They speak from on high.

9They have set their mouth against the heavens,
         And their tongue parades through the earth.

 Psalm 73 :10-19
New American Standard Bible

10Therefore his people return to this place,
         And waters of abundance are drunk by them.

11They say, “How does God know?
         And is there knowledge with the Most High?”

12Behold, these are the wicked;
         And always at ease, they have increased in wealth.

13Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure
         And washed my hands in innocence;

14For I have been stricken all day long
         And chastened every morning.

15If I had said, “I will speak thus,”
         Behold, I would have betrayed the generation of Your children.

16When I pondered to understand this,
         It was troublesome in my sight

17Until I came into the sanctuary of God;
         Then I perceived their end.

18Surely You set them in slippery places;
         You cast them down to destruction.

19How they are destroyed in a moment!
         They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors!
