A basic general idea of what does it mean to know the will of God. Seek first the kingdom of God, a general overview of who is the will of God.

Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God present yourselves a living sacrifice to God, holy and acceptable, which is your spiritual act of worship. And do not be conformed any longer to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God ---- Romans 12:1-2

Cast Your Bread on the Waters

      1Cast your bread on the surface of the waters, for you will find it after many days. 2Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what misfortune may occur on the earth. 3If the clouds are full, they pour out rain upon the earth; and whether a tree falls toward the south or toward the north, wherever the tree falls, there it lies. 4He who watches the wind will not sow and he who looks at the clouds will not reap. 5Just as you do not know the path of the wind and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes all things.

      6Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good.

      7The light is pleasant, and it is good for the eyes to see the sun. 8Indeed, if a man should live many years, let him rejoice in them all, and let him remember the days of darkness, for they will be many. Everything that is to come will befutility.

      9Rejoice, young man, during your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the days of young manhood. And follow the impulses of your heart and the desires of your eyes. Yet know that God will bring you to judgment for all these things. 10So, remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.

1. Our reward for well-doing is very certain. "Though thou cast it upon the waters, and it seem lost, thou thinkest thou hast given thy good word with it and art likely never to hear of it again, yet thou shalt find it after many days, as the husbandman finds his seed again in a plentiful harvest and the merchant his venture in a rich return. It is not lost, but well laid out, and well laid up; it brings in full interest in the present gifts of God's providence, and graces and comforts of his Spirit; and the principal is sure, laid up in heaven, for it is lent to the Lord." Seneca, a heathen, could say, Nihil magis possidere me credam, quam bene donata-I possess nothing so completely as that which I have given away. Hochabeo quodcunque dedi; hae sunt divitiae certae in quacunque sortis humanae levitate-Whatever I have imparted I still possess; these riches remain with me through all the vicissitudes of life. "Thou shalt find it, perhaps not quickly, but after many days; the return may be slow, but it is sure and will be so much the more plentiful." Wheat, the most valuable grain, lies longest in the ground. Long voyages make the best returns.

2. Our opportunity for well-doing is very uncertain: "Thou knowest not what evil may be upon the earth, which may deprive thee of thy estate, and put thee out of a capacity to do good, and therefore, while thou hast wherewithal, be liberal with it, improve the present season, as the husbandman in sowing his ground, before the frost comes." We have reason to expect evil upon the earth, for we are born to trouble; what the evil may be we know not, but that we may be ready for it, whatever it is, it is our wisdom, in the day of prosperity, to be in good, to be doing good. Many make use of this as an argument against giving to the poor, because they know not what hard times may come when they may want themselves; whereas we should therefore the rather be charitable, that, when evil days come, we may have the comfort of having done good while we were able; we would then hope to find mercy both with God and man, and therefore should now show mercy. If by charity we trust God with what we have, we put it into good hands against bad times. this is taking in part from MATTHEW HENRY COMMENTARY on Ecclesiastes 11:1-10

Daniel ,my brother our walk in CHRIST is not easy all the time ,through my walk I have found out that when thing seen to be so hard our HEAVENLY FATHER got a great big blessing waiting at the end of the tunnel for me,so my beloved brother continue to be strong and take this words to his throne every chance you get ,I LOVE TO TELL HIM what his words say in Ephesians 3 :14-21

    14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

      20Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.   and then I JUST CONTINUE TO TRUST HIM AND HOLD TO MY FAITH THAT HE IS GOING TO DO WHAT HE SAID THAT HE WILL DO IN THE RIGHT TIME THAT IT IS FOR ME ,SO MY BROTHER CONTINUE TO BE STRONG AND DO ALL THAT YOU DO SO THAT HE GET ALL THE GLORY

i believe in god and jesus no doubt,im honestly  going through hard times,i know lots are.im trying to find work been doing applications,been on interviews,connected with programs to help find work,been praying yet still havent been hired. i wont give up though,i want a better life. also im living at home,but not because i want to but because of circumstances.im tired of being broke and wished i had left over money,but bills and mom are ruining those chances.my mom is hardheaded,she smokes,is on oxygen,uses a walker and is just wasting her life.shes 60 ,i tried to encourage her to rehab,join the gym,stop smoking,eat right,budget right but she dismesses it.then i get annoyed and very frustrated. she used to be helpful was a nurse but in recent times shes been a burden and huge disappointment.people tell me to take care of her,but they dont understand shes a hassle,shes not innocent like they assume. i want to be in a relationship but lots of women arent fond of a man living at home. how am i going to move forward is the question?.do i want to yes no doubt. im also am an only child,my dad wasnt in the picture much,and i dont get along with my moms side. theyre materialistic,biased and selfish. it takes money to achieve my dreams of a job,my own place and new female partner.i need someone who can help me out,while ill help in return. im 37 and theres extreme pressure on me. i feel alone at times.though im a believer and have been for 10 yrs a decade now. im not materialistic,but i want to overcome and deserve a life on my own. i dont want to be 40s and 50s and still living at home. besides what if my mom was to die? those same people who told me to care for her would probably let me down. more need to realize i need my own life and if she dont want to better herself its on her.but im sick of being held back. i feel i have the physical attributes,great personality,if i just had a financial breakthrough id have everything i need.

I can pray He gives you wisdom sister, that He helps you. :o)

His strength is made perfect in weakness. That includes with fear.
