All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

1Tim 1:5 The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith. Love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine Faith. Those three things from which Love is expressed. They all tie together. A pure heart. Is a heart that is not divided. One that has clearly chosen a side to represent. A pure heart through Love has a knowledge of Who it serves. A pure heart is not divided or polluted with the flesh. But, represents the Lord and beats in our spirits. Tied with a clear conscience. Now this is only possible from a true knowledge of being forgiven. A clear conscience is only gained by what it is tied to, and that is a genuine Faith. The result or product of these are a pure heart. And, if you have read many of what I share, you will know I see all of this as a heart thing. God looks at us through that heart. And, what we speak of comes from the heart. Matt 15:10-11 10 Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. “Listen,” He said, “and try to understand. 11 It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.” So here we see clearly as Jesus will clarify after Peter asked the meaning..Matt 15:18-19 18 But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you. 19 For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. We can see just how important it is to obtain a pure heart. Other verses tell us to rid ourselves of sexual immorality, etc., This must happen the flesh must be put to death. Again, A pure heart, is a heart that is not divided. It is one that has humbled itself before the Lord. Put its own desires at the foot of the Cross. We gain that pure heart from a desire to follow our Lord. We are activated by a genuine Faith. A Faith that hungers and thirsts after the Lord. To walk as Jesus did, as He showed us it is possible to live the life that God ask us to live. 2Tim 2:22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Here now we see to run from anything that is sin, and then to pursue {run after} the Life Jesus showed us we are able to live. This genuine Faith is a Faith that in other words, really Believes in God. See we make it more difficult then we should. We see these mighty works of Faith. And, think how am I ever going to have that Faith. When we should begin with understanding a genuine Faith is based on “Believing in God.” When we start there and build upon that knowledge, instead of starting by looking for a mountain to shove around. We are all here because we Believe in God. Build upon that Truth. We start so often by trying to exercise our Faith for something. Then fail and get discouraged. So let’s brush ourselves off and begin again. 1Tim 1:12-17 12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, 13 even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief. 14 Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus. 15 This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. 16 But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in Him and receive eternal life. 17 All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen. From verse 12 to 17 can encapsulates one’s life. From sinner to giving all the Glory to God. I do not think any of us had a past quite like Paul. We see Paul however as he says, “Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners.” v14 “Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the Faith and Love that come from Christ Jesus.” What a wonderful verse to begin to rebuild our Faith. Accept this example and follow the path. We have given our life to Christ. Paul clearly tells us, He filled me with Faith and Love. He goes on to share he is a prime example. It worked for Paul it will with us. We separate our lives from our flesh. We have asked Jesus into our hearts, then we are able to be filled with the Holy Spirit also. Rom 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Jesus is the Word of God. So you see you do have Faith. We then must learn how to exercise that Faith. How many times have you failed and thought, “I must Not have Faith!” If so repent and receive what is yours in Christ Jesus. Then again in 2Tim 2:22”...pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” Praise God we Can do this. We are given all we need. All that is left to do is...Believe. Well do the “happy dance” as we Praise God for His Love and Kindness.
