Richard,

I am reading this book "What on Earth is God Doing" by Renald Showers. It tells of the way God has protected His people from Satan down through history whenever they got themselves into sin.  I hear people speaking of punishment coming to America and I remember all the time God has protected His people with all of Satan's road blocks.

America is in the midst of one of these road blocks but I am fully persuaded that God will get His faithful followers through it.

We need to *trust in the Lord with all our might and not lean on our own understanding...He will direct our paths and make them straight for us*. I believe this with all my heart. We are having *rain* now but soon the Son will be    shining our our country once again.

Rita, I fully agree with your statement, "God will get His faithful followers through it".

 

Dear Sis, in my heart I see a future revolution in this great country of ours. We've been divided about 50/50 for some time now........and more and more people are turning away from God every day.

Luke 11:17, "But He, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth".

Richard,

I am not sure that you have paid mind to what it says, but, Joe reminded me of a Chapter in the Bible that is necessary reading to a Christian that is concerned for the welfare of the USA.

Deuteronomy 28. The first 14 verses cover blessings for those that follow God (which we WERE doing, as a country.)

The last 54 verses cover curses when we fall away, (which we ARE doing, as a country.) I see these things happening in our country today. Until we, as a nation, go back to esteeming God, in the manner that we were doing before, we are continuing on the Deut. 28 path. I pray our country wakes up  before it's too late. Our government would have us believe that 9/11 never happened. Well it did. It is time for us Christians to wake up our government. We need to get back to the path we were on.

Yes, I read Deuteronomy 28.........I agree 1000% with you and Joe.

There's one other major area to watch - Genesis 12:3, " And I will bless those who bless you. And the one who curses you I will curse.  And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed".

Rita, in 1948 the new country of Israel declared its independence........and the United States was the first country to officially recognize that fact....... and the U.S. and Israel have been allies ever since. Until................just the last

few years.... it seems that this administration wants to throw Israel under the bus (blessings or cursings).

 

One thing for sure...... Israel will survive, no matter what. and the U.S........???

Richard,

I think along the line of your comments...frequently. Our government as it stands today is way off base.

Most probably it started with the last century, the greed that went into the war in Vietnam, a war that the USA lost.

Then roe vs Wade.

Then declaring that we couldn't discipline our children.

Taking discipline away from teachers as they have our children for a third (or more) of their waking hours.

Dismissal of God from our country.

Belief that we can stand without God.

Allowing all kinds of people into our nation to live and work without having documentation that they have a right here.

Welfare for people who don't deserve it. People wanting a free ride from the government and we pick up the tab.

Vote buying.

Lies at the polls.

And let's not forget the electoral college where a president is chosen who might not be the popular candidate. Using our saving for purposes that it wasn't intended for (Social Security).

Latest being that 9/11 is to be left out of history books as though it didn't happen.

Children being able and encouraged to turn in parents if they are disciplined, lying if necessary.

Serving Ritalin to our children as though it were candy. There is nothing that I have mentioned here that isn't addressed in the Word of God. However, we have allowed people to burn up God's Word.

The list is even longer than this where we have gotten off track because we are throwing God out of the country that we love so much.

Is this God's will for us and yet many Christians don't even bother to vote. because they want God Will to reign. That isn't going to happen the way we are doing it.

Our president stopping Nation Day of Prayer at the White House...a place that the citizens of the USA own.

I could keep going but my daughter needs the computer.

I applaud your precision, here, and couldn't have said it any better. You are spot on! The more people turn away from our Creator God, the more they allow satan to take control and spiral them and their nations out of control. For our God to repair the damage done so far, the need to follow what He says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 must be put into action: "If My people who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Is this doable, Rita? I don't think so, for everyone seems to think they are doing what is right in their own eyes, but Proverbs 3:7  states: "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil."

I like best what Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man."

Abundant Blessing to you, Rita. Let keep standing firm on the Word of God, and lift high the banner of our Messiah Jesus! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!

And then I had to LOL at your having to stop because your daughter needed the computer..........

Situation of our country......and you having to stop......completely understood and agreed upon.

Hi Sis, thank you for your words of support.

So many folks think they "have it all together".............sad.

 

Yes, II Chronicles 7:14.....God's prescription for the USA.........God's effective medicine for so many nations down through the ages. So interesting in the Old Testament - whenever the leaders feared (held in awe and deep respect) God,  and the people followed suit, the nations prospered and were blessed.

And then, the opposite is also true...............

 

Lena J, I just want to say how much I appreciate your prayers in the Prayer Room. I know they are effective, because the Holy Spirit helps you post them.
