Update...
I talked to my friend. Her brother's home is below a ridge. The firefighters have made a 30-mile no burn zone above the area they live in. I thought it was significant that he said the sparks are flying straight up. There's no wind.

He is staying with their house so far. The family is making the best of it at the high school with the other evacuees. His children are very scared because the fire isn't that far from their home and their daddy is there.

Thank you for all your prayers and believing. Please keep the situation covered with your prayers.

Prayer request...
Please pray for the people in the Los Angeles area. I some people that have been evacuated because of the fires. My friend's brother said his home is in the evacuation zone and his pool isn't. He's kept his sense of humor in the face of adversity. The rest of the family left. He's stayed behind to try to save their home and has an evacuation route planned out. It sounds scary.

A lot of people could lose their homes. Thank you standing with me on this.

I come before God with meekness and humility. Father, I am in awe of You. Praise you oh Lord! I ask for a miracle. Please Father, silence the winds. Peace be still in the name of Jesus. And Father, send them rain. I ask that You extinguish the flames. For with you my Father, with You all things are possible.

Strengthen and help those who have lost their homes and belongings. Keep them in Your perfect peace and multiply Your grace to them. Let them rest in the safety of Your loving arms and bask in Your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Please pray for my son-in-law. He's serving in the army in Iraq. His group was attacked twice yesterday. They can use lots of prayers.
