Greetings Prayer Room Participants,

Something has been brought to my attention that I need to address. It is our desire for this room to be a place to bring prayer requests and to ask for brothers and sisters in Christ to stand with us in our time of need. At the same time we need to be mindful of how we pray. By this, I mean that though we want to pray positively for others we need to be very careful regarding the language we use, especially when the request we are praying for involves another person who is part of the reason the prayer requests is being brought forth. We need to choose our words wisely and make sure that we are not digressing into a situation where we are name calling or accusing another of being of the devil.

There are number of factors I could go over, but think it not wise to give to much attention to negative actions and will simply encourage us to focus on the request and laying it before God without accusing another. For in any request our goal must always be a righteous outcome of which only God can know the exact answer that is needed in any situation.

Because this is a serious situation that can lead to other problems for individuals and TheNET our team will need to monitor the Prayer Room more closely and will need to remove remarks that appear to be derogatory.

If you see any comments that appear questionable please inform me immediately. You will stay anonymous and I will make the final judgment on the comment in question.

(NEW) Because this is an open group that is visible to the worldwide web we need to refrain from using names when praying for others without their permission.

Lord Bless,

LT

Kelly Mc, I understand and agree with you regarding the disunity in the church.  satan seems to be having his way within the body.  However, Jesus prayed for unity for His church, and it will happen.  The Lord led me to Ephesians chapters 4 and 5 today.. and also 1 Corinthians 5:9-13, and 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.  It was I needed to hear, and I feel it is not only for me.  God has the final word in all of this... Do not be discouraged.  Congratulations on your engagement.  I pray the Lord will bless your relationship as you honor Him and put Him first.  The battle is rough indeed...and our armour will get 'dented'..  But In Christ ...we as believers, as the Beloved Children of God..we are overcomers.  We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.  It becomes especially tough when we try to walk out on our own... That's when we make mistakes.  We all make them... there is Grace and Forgiveness for us in those times.  Bless you.. Be encouraged brother..

Kelly Mc..  It's truly a daily battle indeed.  i have found that journaling really helps me to remember and stay 'present' to the many times that God is so faithful...  also, tell others about those times..  It makes it real in our hearts when we do that, and it also blesses and encourages the 'hearers'.

Bless you...

It is very difficult for me to imagine not being with family on Christmas. There are now twenty-five in my immediate family, one awaiting us in heaven, and another little guy on his or her way. Right now, we are facing many very difficult circumstances but God is really good. On the other hand, I am a part of a much larger family and part of that family is right here on the Net Prayer Room and AAG. I will be in Wyoming on Christmas but I plan to stop by the Net to pray with you all. Throughout the day I find myself thinking of you all and praying that God will continue to bless you. We all have One Who is closer than a brother. He is with us no matter where we are or what the circumstances. You are right, Kelly Mc, He is spending His time interceding for us, helping us, loving us and giving us His peace. What a blessing it is to know that the conflict between us and God has ended and we have complete peace with Him through Jesus Christ our Lord. He has truly come and we truly do have peace on earth and good will. Praise Him and God bless you all. In Jesus name.

Christopher,  I'm sorry to hear that you'll be alone this Christmas.. But am rejoicing to hear that you know you are never truly alone.

Have you looked into volunteering at a food bank or shelter (perhaps through your church) to occupy your time and keep your mind off being physically alone.   Perhaps ask if your church has set something up already..?  How does that sound?

This time of year can leave many of us feeling frazzled and empty as we place our focus on the things that fill our 'holidays'... parties, gift shopping, baking,....the absence of loved ones due to death or unreconciled relationships.  We get so distracted that we can easily forget how important it is to Be Still before the Lord.  The High Priest, Our KING Jesus is interceding for us, and on our behalf..  why do we all so easily forget this truth?  When we finally do come before the Lord, HE is so faithful to fill us with His presence, and calm all our anxieties..  God is sooo good to us.  He never leaves us.  Come to Him and find your rest.  This devotion came to my email today, and I want to share it with you...my brothers and sisters in Christ.  Bless you.

The Manger of My Heart
Renee Swope

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14 (NIV)

As the days get shorter in December, it seems the time I spend with God does too. I long for His presence. I know I need His perspective and peace. But as I prepare for the holidays, my heart can get so focused on planning and buying gifts that I forget to unwrap the most important gift—the gift of Immanuel—God with us.

In all the hustle and bustle, it’s easy to fill our heart with everything but Him, and miss the calm hush His presence brings. I felt an unusual void around the holidays several years ago, and wrote this Christmas prayer to help me keep my heart where it needs to be. I display it where I’ll see it often – to remind me of what matters most.

The Manger of My Heart
This Christmas, Lord, come to the manger of my heart.
Fill me with Your presence from the very start.
As I prepare for the holidays and gifts to be given,
Remind me of the gift You gave when You sent Your Son from Heaven.

The first Christmas gift, it was the greatest gift ever.
You came as a baby born in a manger.
Wrapped like the gifts I find under my tree,
Waiting to be opened, to reveal Your love to me.

Restore to me the wonder that came with Jesus’ birth,
when He left the riches of Heaven and wrapped Himself in rags of earth.
Immanuel, God with us, Your presence came that night.
And angels announced, “Into your darkness, God brings His Light.”

“Do not be afraid,” they said, to shepherds in the field.
Speak to my heart today, Lord, and help me to yield.
Make me like those shepherd boys, obedient to Your call.
Setting distractions and worries aside, to You I surrender them all.

Surround me with Your presence, Lord, I long to hear Your voice.
Clear my mind of countless concerns and all the holiday noise.
Slow me down this Christmas, let me not be in a rush.
In the midst of parties and planning, I want to feel Your hush.

This Christmas, Jesus, come to the manger of my heart.
Invade my soul like Bethlehem, bringing peace to every part.
Dwell within and around me, as I unwrap Your presence each day.
Keep me close to You, Lord. It’s in Your wonderful Name I pray.

Thousands of years ago God gave us the gift of His one and only Son, born in a humble manger. Making room in our hearts for Jesus through prayer during this busy season is a gift we give to Him, and ourselves. Right now, let’s quiet our racing thoughts and take a moment to enjoy the hush of Immanuel—God with us. His presence in our lives is a gift we can open every day of the year.

Dear Lord, I’m so thankful for the gift of Jesus, Immanuel, my God with me. Help me be still when I feel frazzled and remember You are God. I want to make room for You in the manger of my heart this Christmas and unwrap Your presence each day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
