Greetings Prayer Room Participants,
Something has been brought to my attention that I need to address. It is our desire for this room to be a place to bring prayer requests and to ask for brothers and sisters in Christ to stand with us in our time of need. At the same time we need to be mindful of how we pray. By this, I mean that though we want to pray positively for others we need to be very careful regarding the language we use, especially when the request we are praying for involves another person who is part of the reason the prayer requests is being brought forth. We need to choose our words wisely and make sure that we are not digressing into a situation where we are name calling or accusing another of being of the devil.
There are number of factors I could go over, but think it not wise to give to much attention to negative actions and will simply encourage us to focus on the request and laying it before God without accusing another. For in any request our goal must always be a righteous outcome of which only God can know the exact answer that is needed in any situation.
Because this is a serious situation that can lead to other problems for individuals and TheNET our team will need to monitor the Prayer Room more closely and will need to remove remarks that appear to be derogatory.
If you see any comments that appear questionable please inform me immediately. You will stay anonymous and I will make the final judgment on the comment in question.
(NEW) Because this is an open group that is visible to the worldwide web we need to refrain from using names when praying for others without their permission.

Shame is a powerful emotion that can be used in different ways. Some carry shame for things they had no control over that may even have happened to them as children. Some are sexually abused as children & carry the shame of that. When we become Christians, we become more sensitive to sin in our lives. We see the sin in our lives & may carry that as shame. Personally, I don’t believe Christ died so that we can carry around shame & guilt. His death gave us restoration. We should repent & see the wrong in our failures & work to be more like Him but carrying around shame can be used by the enemy to destroy us. Lifting you in prayers to overcome whatever is going on in your life brother.

Thank you for your prayers. My friend Merill is fine, although there is rain damage to her house. Please pray for safe travels for her son, Laban, who is flying from Europe and expected to arrive in Florida on Wednesday.

I have a friend who is a teacher in Coral Springs Florida (near Fort Lauderdale) who had to pack things up at home and re-locate temporarily to a hotel due to Hurricane Irma. Her school is closed and there is a curfew. I am praying for her protection and the protection of her family during this time.

Father God, I love the peace and tranquility I find when I'm in prayer with you. You still my soul even in the craziest of times. When my tears fall with sadness you comfort me. When the tears are tears of joy you laugh with me. Father, our time here is so precious. Help us not waste one second. If we are waiting keep us focused on you and your scripture. Help us remember to count our blessings even the ones that may cause heartache. They help us grow. The Holy Spirit guides us. We must let him guide. Thank you Father for the blessings you have poured out upon this place. Guide us Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen
