Realization

I sat in church today and we had a missionary doing the sermon. He was talking about having a generic religion and beliefs, versing having the real trade name thing. He discussed our "tongue" and does it reflect what we believe as well as our actions. It was right there on the pew that I realized one of my biggest faults. I talk about God at work and with others and proclaim my faith and love for the Lord, but often when hanging around the fire station waiting on a call to come in, I find myself joining in the conversations and using the same vulgar words as everyone else. What a horrible example I have been. I am so thankful for the sermon this morning and my ability to see where I have been so wrong. The bad language and distasteful jokes have to stop. Please pray with me as I beg God to cleanse my heart and take everything bad out of my heart so that nothing bad will procede from my mouth ever again. I know I can't be perfect, only Jesus Christ can, but in the envoroment I am in, it is so important that I set a Christ like example. We have so many young boys that come and volunteer and look up to us older folks as we handle medical emergencies. But they need to SEE Christ in me, not just hear me speak of him. Thank you all so much!!

HI, THIS IS WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT DO TO US,WHEN WORLD CUP WAS GOING ON ONE OF MY NEPHEW SAID TO ME HIS TEAM WAS GOING TO WIN I SAID NO,MY TEAM WOULD WIN .HE SAID U WANT TO BET I SAID YES IF MY TEAM WIN HE HAVE TO COME TO CHURCH WITH ME FOR A WEEK,AND IF HE WIN I HAVE TO BUY HIM BUN&CHEESE FOR ONE WEEK I SAID OK ,AND I FELT SO GOOD BECAUSE I WAS DOING GOD'S WORK I BELIEVE.THAT NIGHT WHEN I KNEEL DOWN TO PRAY THE HOLY SPIRIT SAID TO ME WHAT A WAY U R GAMBLING I WAS SO SHOCK ,BECAUSE I NEVER LOOK AT IT AS GAMBLE.THE NEXT MORNING I TOLD HIM WHAT I DID WAS WRONG HIS TEAM WIN MY TEAM I BUY HIS BUNS AND CHEESE.AND I LEARNED A LESSON THAT DAY WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL IN EVERYTHING WE DO AND SAY BECAUSE THE devil IS GOING AROUND LOOKING AND IF WE R NOT FOCUS WE WILL STAY IN CHURCH AND GO STRIGHT TO HELL.

Autumn,

I think you have taken a large step by admitting openly that you have erred, and by listening to the Holy Spirit as to what your problem is. I caught myself in the same predicament Sunday as well. I think that Satan and his minions sit by and listen to us talking and when the time is *right*, they egg us on to speak in like manner as the ones we are speaking to. We need to regenerate our minds to the extent that we won't get caught up in that situation. God has been very generous to us, making it so simple to be with Him in eternity, and He is willing that we plead *the blood of Christ* on our errors. What an awesome God we serve!

Blessings and may we both learn to quiet our tongues at the wrong things that are being said.
