My daughter-in-law is severely depressed, so much so she has been saying she wants to kill herself. She is 22 years old and has three beautiful children and my son to live for. As most of you know from my testimony on my page, I have tried to kill myself 10 times in my life. We spoke last night and she is going to call to setup an appointment with a psychiatrist to get help. I have encouraged her to seek counseling as well. I told her a little bit of my story and told her I understand and know exactly how she feels. I moved in with her and her family a little over two weeks ago. I told her she can come to me anytime she needs someone to talk to. I ask that you keep her in your prayers during this time.
My son is a police officer and she has mentioned a few times that if she had the key to his lock box where he keeps his gun she would kill herself. My son spoke with her last night and is also encouraging her to seek help. He knows all too well from me what this is like.
Lord, I ask that you give her the hope that she so desperately needs. I ask that if there is anything you want me to say to her or do for her to give me your words and show me what to do to help her. I ask that you keep her safe and show her that life is worth living. I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Dear Mischelle, I'm standing in agreement with you and Chip with regard to your daughter-in-law. When you spend time together, immerse yourselves with the Word of God, for that's where He speaks to us. Remember those thoughts of suicide are NOT from God, for He lovingly created us to be part of HIS plan and purpose. You must, therefore, defeat the devil with Scripture. Letting him know that "Jesus is Lord...Lord of my life" will "set the captives free". Hallelujah!
Here are a few verses:
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live: yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20
"He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3
"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hands of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:6,7
"The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles." Psalm 34:17
"Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy." 1 Peter 4:12,13
Be Blessed! Be comforted!
Love and Hugs.

Dear, dear Mischelle,
Usually individuals contemplating taking their own lives are looking for escape from something or things.
You are her go-to person because you've been there and tried that.
Suicide is a temptation from Satan. When Jesus was tempted by him (Matthew, Chapter 4), Jesus used Scriptures as His means of combating, and defeating that old serpent.
Lena J has got that idea. She's the Scripture Lady of AAG. So immerse your daughter-in-law in the cleansing, refreshing, life-giving strength of the Word of God...........
Father God, just now we lift up Sister Mischelle to you for a fresh anointing of Your Holy Word, that she may boldly proclaim Your wisdom and confidence to her daughter-in-law. Father, that Your peace may permeate their household.
To Your glory, God, through Your Son, Jesus.
Amen.
