Mother's Day prayers
A friend of mine, Darlene, just recently lost her mother. She is having a hard time with it and not having someone who understands what she is going through. She is a fairly new Christian and is really struggling. I talked with her on Wed at church and I want so bad to help her. She is really having a hard time with Mother's Day coming up and she said she wish that she could just skip that day somehow. Please pray for her. Also, remember everyone that has lost a mother this year and will be facing their first Mother's Day without them. Holidays can be such a tormenting time when we lose someone. Could I add someone,please? My grandma passed away this month 8 years ago. Since she died so close to mothers day...I don't know how distressed dad is around this time of the year [he doesn't talk about it]. But, just in case,I'd like to add dad since he lost his mom this month 8 years ago.

Our Father, who is in Heaven; Holy, Great, and Wonderful be Your Name.
Father, we ask that you put Your loving, comforting arm around Darlene just now. Help her to realize that her mom is with You now at this time in one of Your mansions prepared by Your Son.
Father, help her to grieve, as this is a traumatic time in her life.
Help her to know that brothers and sisters in Christ are praying for her at this time.
We pray that Darlene can use this Mother's Day as a time of memorial for her mother.
May she find peace through our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Amen.
