For several days now my spine on the left side right between my shoulder blades has been hurting really bad. Then to make matters worse I woke up this morning with a very painful kink in my neck. I can't move with out wanting to scream and/or cry.

Praying...........
Connie,
It's good advice to get a massage, they really can help to loosen the muscle.
I was just wondering about your comment 'don't let the devil hear you are hurting'....
A couple things come to mind.
First of all, to say 'don't let the devil hear you are hurting' seems to give the impression that we are to fear satan... I'm sure that's not the impression you intended to give, because it completely undermines God's word.
This is the Lord's Battle, and our victory is found in Him. It doesn't really matter if the devil hears or doesn't hear.
Secondly, to say 'don't let the devil hear you are hurting' also insinuates that the devil is omnipresent.. he is not. satan cannot be everywhere at the same time. he is a fallen angel .. he has been given certain liberties here on earth, but God restrains him, and he cannot operate outside of those restraints.
Thirdly, God is greater than satan. Let's just say that satan did happen to be next to you while you spoke something negative... while he may be able to tempt you, he will never be able to force you to accept the lies and deceit which he presents.
I'm certain there are more points to address in regards to this.. But for now I'll just leave you with a few scriptures to ponder.
1 John 4:4
4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1 John 4:18
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
2 Chronicles 20:15
15 He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
Now, having said all of that, I agree that our words are powerful.. Afterall, God has created us in His image, and He used words to do it. To me this means our words do matter and they do have power, but I don't think we need to be concerned about the enemy 'hearing' us... This line of thinking promotes a certain 'fear' which the Lord continually tells us 'Do NOT fear'. Jesus has overcome sin, death and the world, and He is far greater than the enemy.
Blessings, Carla
