How do you know a calling from God? I feel Prayer is my calling but how can I know for sure?

hey, rose, just keep on praying. if that's not your calling, you will be told by the Lord in many ways. just keep your eyes and ears open to the Lord.

Hi Rose,
I think it's wonderful you want to pray for people and circumstances. I thank God for your beautiful giving heart. I think you should go for it. I can see the desire is already there inside of you. I know God is so pleased. Your fervent prayers are effectual and avail much. (James 5:16) In Jesus' name you have great authority.

Here's something to try when you're praying for others, ask God if there is anyone or anything He wants you to pray for. It's important to follow through if He gives you something to pray about. He may not have something every time you ask, but if God knows you will obey and pray, He will ask you to pray for people. (Ephesians 3:20)

I don't know what groups you're a member of. There's a group called weekly word timely personal provocative. It's Chris Heinz' group. I thought it had great information on prayer. It's the group with the green book icon.

Hi Rose,
My name is Sandra, and I've felt what you are feeling now. I had that feeling of if this is what the Lord was calling me to do. It was, and now I'm in the intercessory prayer ministry at my church. When you feel a deep desire to pray, do it. You are an intercessor. God wants someone to stand in the gap for His people.
We are all commanded to pray. (Lk 18:1), (1Thess 5:17), (Rom 8:26) There are many other scriptures in the bible pertaining to prayer and praying for others. The Holy Spirit is urging you to pray. Don't not pray because you're not sure if it's your calling. Pray you could just be the very person who will have the breakthrough for the one you are praying for.
Satan wants you not to pray because that's how we talk with God, nor does he want you to use that powerful weapon of prayer because he doesn't want God's people saved. healed and delivered. Don't give him the satisfaction. PRAY
So my sister pray when you feel the so strongly to do so, and when you don't know what to pray for allow the Holy Spirit to pray through you. I will agree with you in prayer to be led by the Spirit. Let's pray.

Heavenly Father, You are our all and all. In You we have everything we need and more. Lord I come before You in Jesus' name for my sister Rose. She needs clear direction in her life concerning her calling to intercessory prayer. You, Father, have command all of us to pray. Lord give her the desires of her heart, for You have put a burden of praying for others in her heart. Let her prayers be effective. You said in Your word that the effectual, fervent prayers of the righteous availeth much. So God in the name of Jesus, I ask this.
She wants to be in your perfect will, so Father forgive us of any unconfessed sin. We do not want to be hindered in our prayer life. You said in Your word that if we have iniquity in our hearts You won't hear us. So cleanse us God with the blood of the Lamb.
Holy Spirit give her the words to say, spiritual ears to hear and eyes to see clearly from You alone. Lord strengthen her as only You can and may she continues to stay focused on You.
I plead the blood over her and her family, Lord. Bless them in every area of their lives. May they abide in You and Your word in them. I ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

Rose have faith in God that He has answered your request. The bible does say that when we pray to believe and not doubt that we will receive. (Matt 21:22)
