Created in the image of God

What does it really mean when THE BIBLE tells us that that we are created in the image of God. First looking at who God is.. What is He described as in the scriptures. In Gen 1 vs 2 it is written that "SPIRIT OF GOD was hovering over the earth...". Meaning that right from the beginning God showed himself as SPIRIT. When God said let us create man in OUR IMAGE, which image was He talking about? In John our Lord Jesus tells us that "GOD IS SPIRIT and those who worship Him must worship Him in SPIRIT and in TRUTH. God is Spirit. And we all know that the TRUTH is our Lord JESUS CHRIST, for He said "I am the way the TRUTH and the life. So we worship God in Spirit through the Truth(Jesus Christ). Now going back to the discussion.. what then does it mean we are created in the IMAGE OF GOD? WE ARE SPIRITS.. by this i mean the part that identifies with God in us is the Spiritual side. God is also described in the scriptures as LOVE.. If God who is Spirit is also love... Then that makes LOVE SPITITUAL.. This then means that only those who are Spiritual can understand what love is. What do i mean by Spiritual people... These are the ones who are born of the Spirit of God. if you are born of the Spirit then you are Spirit. Led by the Holy Spirit of God. This also lead to the truth that if we are created in the image of God... we must reflect God on earth.. Our God has creative power and so do we.. God can order things to happen and so can we. Our Father has given us dominion on earth and then that means every thing on earth is under our power. The question now is.. Things like poverty, barreness in different areas of our lives, sickness etc.. all these are things of this earth cause none of hem can be found in heaven . Why then are these things still troubling us , when we have dominion over them? Have we really reached the point of Spirituality that God wants us to exercise on earth? Why is there still hatred on earth when our God is Love and we are created in His image? Are we really reflecting the image of God on earth...?
