All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I'd like to ask for prayer concerning my son, my self, and a little legal issue. The state/public school has affirmed its self a right to penalize parents and/or children for failing to submit written excuses for absenteeism in a timely fashion. In exercising its self-indulgent laws, it has decided to smack others and me with a whopper of a fine, to which I plead not guilty because in all humbleness to the laws of the district, I did write out the excuses and handed them to my son for school submission. However, it seems my son did fail to follow through with handing them in. Now we face fines and with my not-guilty plea, a possibility remains that the charges will revert to my son, who is only 15yrs old. He is a good kid, never found his self in any trouble with the law before this ridiculous mess. Yet, he now faces possible charges for not complying to the rules of handing in his excuses. As ridiculous as all this might sound, it's a true case. We need your prayers in hopes of becoming released from the charges, both of us. I am not as disappointed in my son in all this as I am with district legislatures or the school’s administrative policies, because my son does suffer from what health officials term Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and I know he has difficulty remembering to perform simple tasks, which would include remembering to take his excuses to the school's office. For him, its a genuine issue of forgetfulness; for me, I suppose I could have taken the excuses into the school office, personally, knowing my son could easily forget to hand them in. However, doing so seemed to me very illogical--to make special trips to the school when my son was going there daily. Anyway, we could really use your prayers for God's grace to intervene this situation. Furthermore, you all might want to pray for my ability to remain humble throughout the process, because to be perfectly honest, I feel a bit arrogant toward public officials who think they have a right to impose such controlling measures. I carry a “this is my son, not theirs” attitude. Thanks
